Amazing home with everything you need and more!

This home was equipped with all we needed, plus extras that made the stay even more comfortable! I have never stayed in a vacation home that was as well suited for adults and children/babies as this was. Baby gates, cribs, crib sheets, high chair, toys, games, plenty of blankets, all the kitchen stuff, comfortable beds, etc. We loved our stay and would definitely stay there again!

Nice place with plenty of space

Really cool place with plenty of space for a group of 10. Comfortable beds and large rooms for everyone to be together. Hot tub on the deck was perfect for watching the sunset. Only negative is the ad listed stated that tea and k-cups were included, but upon request the property management company said that they did not supply. Not a huge deal, but the listing should be changed to reflect they are not provided.

We couldn’t have found a better and more perfect place than Winterfell. The place was so clean and close to everything. It had everything we needed inside the house. It was a perfect birthday gift to husband and the whole family. The kids are already asking for the next trip to Big Bear at Winterfell. We will definitely stay here again!!!!

Great property

We loved the property, its amenities and location! We do, however, feel the home could have been cleaner. Light switches were very grimy, some fixtures and baseboards were covered in dust, two sinks were not draining, etc. We reported this to the management immediately. They were very accommodating and did their best to remedy the situation. We would return to the property and would recommend it to others. Hopefully cleaning service will improve.

Large spacious kitchen with lots of extras (Stocked Keurig bar was nice:) And the upper baxk deck with a hot tub with VIEWS is wonderful! We loved the morning views of the lake and watching the stars at night. Thank you Big Bear Lakefront Cabins. The cabin was clean and hot tub ready. You do an amazing job. We will be back again!

Found that every room fit our family. Every one had a great time! We took advantage of the free rental but decided to upgrade the kayak. We came prepared with kitchen wear even though there was the standard set in the kitchen. Beautiful walk through the neighborhood. The only thing is that we found that the bedding in one of the rooms was dirty then we wondered if they washed the bedding before each use. We also did not get enough instructions on the never got hot enough, but when we called with questions they were always attentive and informative.

We booked this property with friends for Labor Day weekend. It had all the space we could need, but it was absolutely disgusting. The second we opened the door there were dirty footprints all over the floor, cobwebs all over windows, ceiling and doorframes, a dirty kitchen table, dirty pans in the oven, and many of the beds didn’t seem to have clean sheets. To add to the bed situation - none of them had fitted sheets over mattresses. They had just tucked a flat sheet under the mattress so you ended up sleeping on the mattress itself. There was hair in showers and dirty bandaids in one of them.The grill was so gross the knobs had greased over and didn’t work anymore and we reported that it was broken bc we had planned to grill that day. They sent someone to fix it but he couldn’t. He fixed one knob. So we had to use a charcoal grill. None of the patio furniture matched the photos. There were a few plastic chairs with the table. None on the upper patio at all. The kitchen and dining area is dark and dank and on another floor than the living room so don’t plan on hanging out in one great space. Which would’ve been ok if the kitchen wasn’t so gross. We kept yelling at our kids to get off the floor, wash their hands and wear shoes. We couldn’t wait to get home. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the management was so nice. Before our stay they did a lot to accommodate an early check in and were very available and communicative. But this property was awful.

Great stay at Winterfell Lodge! Beautiful place for large group

We loved our stay at Winterfell Lodge. We’ve used big bear lakefront before and this was our favorite rental. We’ll be coming back. The place was huge and felt new and custom. Great design. Clean with the bathrooms and kitchen clearly recently done. Kind of a unique layout but we loved it. We went with 2 other families (6 adults, 5 kids). The kids loved the bunk room and the upstairs game room. They spent every day on the top deck hot tub that overlooks the lake. We had one Tesla in the group the used the Level 2 charger. The cabin is just a couple minutes from the lake and a couple minutes from the slopes right off the Blvd. Check in was easy. We also hit up the park nearby which was fun for the kids. Fairly close to food. When we weren’t cooking we drove down to the village was like 5 minutes away. Kitchen was huge tho with seating for 15 easily. Slopes were open and hopefully we get another snowy winter season. Game of thrones theme throughout the house for those who are fans

Dirty home and horrible management company.

SO disappointed in this property AND management company. The pictures looked nice & clean, but the reality was the opposite. There were multiple broken bottles, cigarettes in a bottle, used paper plates/BBQ utensils…just in the backyard! The kitchen cabinets/walls were dirty inside & out. The floors in the house were dirty…fake tree/garland pieces all over the stairs/2nd floor & SPILLED ANT BAIT on the floor of a bathroom that could have been deadly to our dogs! The bedding in a couple of rooms had blood-like stains. The upstairs bathroom had a multitude of issues…it had an extremely foul odor, so we ran the water in the bathtub & sink to see if it cleared the pipes, which revealed a HUGE leak in the garage below the bathroom. The shower door is detached from the ceiling & wobbles to the point it seems it may fall off. The cabinets/drawers are dirty & the bathroom door had boogers wiped on it. In the game room, the poker table had crumbs all over & cards were strewn about. In the dining room, most of the chairs are broken & dirty. Multiple outlets were not working. After 2 hours of cleaning up the backyard to make it safe for our dogs, & one cleaning guy with a vacuum coming out to clean up the spilled ant bait…our family made a decision that we weren’t comfortable with the condition/cleanliness of the house & we left. BigBearLakefrontCabins has been A NIGHTMARE to work with…not responding to phone calls, accusing us of lying/trying to extort them & won’t refund our money!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I took my family, nieces, and nephews to Big Bear for a few days. We loved our cabin. It was beautiful and very comfortable. We definitely want to come back and stay here in the winter. We were a group of 12, and we had so much space.
