Treetop House - Encanto artístico en el dosel de Monteverde

El TreeTop House en Monteverde se encuentra a poca distancia de la Reserva privada Curi Cancha y a poca distancia en coche de la Reserva del Bosque Nuboso de Monteverde. La encantadora casa artística se encuentra a 150 m de la carretera principal hacia la Reserva del Bosque Nuboso Monteverde. A 200 m del CPI y del Instituto Monteverde. 600 m de la escuela de amigos de Monteverde y de la escuela de bosque nuboso CEC. También un paseo muy corto al pueblo de Sta. Elena La casa está etiquetada a 150 m de la carretera principal al final del camino de entrada con mucho estacionamiento privado y mucha privacidad. El jardín exterior con sala de estar invita a observar pájaros o simplemente tomar un café con su familia y / o amigos.

Todos los operadores turísticos lo recogen aquí ya que la casa es conocida. Esto hace de este lugar un lugar único para quedarse. Una joya escondida lejos de la multitud.

Los grandes ventanales te permiten sentir que estás viviendo entre los árboles. La casa está diseñada en 4 pisos, con conexión a la puerta bajo techo. The house was as described, which was fun to explore with our kids. The location was very convenient and it was easy to communicate with the host. It was a little challenging to do dishes for our large crew in the small sink, but we managed and enjoyed the adventure.

We stayed 4 different places on our trip and tried to pick unique accommodations at each stop. The Treetop House did not disappoint. We were shocked at how spacious it was. So many areas to explore and all with fun decor. We were only 7 but this could accommodate a much bigger group without feeling crowded. The kicthen is a bit rustic but it worked just fine. We enjoyed our stay - the kids absolutely loved it - and we would stay again.

We want to mention here that we do not provide a full equipped kitchen as shown in our listing. The kitchenette is so well equipped that our guest confuse it sometimes with a full kitchen!

Everything about this property is unique, the way it has been built on the side of a jungle cliff, the design of every room is amazing and there is loads of space. A memorable part of our holiday. The owner was very helpful with advice on excursions and it close to the major attractions

what a great find!

4 families traveling together stayed here. The 6 kids loved exploring the house, playing hide and seek, and hanging out on the deck with swings and a hammock.

Unique and fun property

This was a fun place to stay. I loved sitting on the porch in the mornings with my coffee watching all the birds. My only suggestion, I would have loved a sofa/lounge area where we could all comfortably hang out

eclectic house fits perfectly with the location, plenty of space and the kids loved it!

Wonderful stay. Sabine was a gracious and helpful host. There was plenty of space and our children loved exploring all the different levels and rooms. This was by far their top choice! We also scheduled a horseback ride with Sabine's stables and this was a highlight of our trip!

Thank you Chad for your review. We still provide all of the mentioned before but virtually. We have changed the check ins to be "self check-ins" which seems to be very welcome by our guests as they don't feel pressured to arrive at a certain agreed on time and leaves our guests more flexibility to enjoy their travels before arrival.

Great Time at a Quirky Place in the Cloud Forest

My family with 5 boys spent a couple nights at the Treetop House and had a great time. The place is huge. Very artsy and unique. Much more of a rustic experience, though we personally were fine with it, just be prepared!

Unique house

Spent Christmas break with my daughters and their children. The house was perfect for providing privacy for our party of 8 that included 4 teenagers who appreciated having some personal space. Sabine was a most wonderful host - helping plan our activities, securing reservations and recommending knowledgeable guides. Plenty of nearby restaurants, shops and vistas to explore .

Rustic treetop house

Our 2 families enjoyed our short two day stay at the Treetop House with its many unique rooms, stairs and rustic feel. It was much colder and windier than we anticipated and we were not prepared, however there were plenty of blankets to keep us warm and we made the best out of our time ziplining and enjoying the town.

It's really in the trees

We loved this very funky house! Plenty of bedrooms for all, and several spaces to gather and watch wildlife. We saw toucans, parrots, monkeys, and even a pair of golden-browed chlorophonia. Within walking distance of several restaurants and Curi-Cancha Reserve. Sabine is communicative and very helpful.

Great Place for Families

Unique stay in the jungle

We really enjoyed our stay at the tree top House. It felt like sleeping in the jungle. The location is great and there is a lot of space for everyone. we were a family of 7 adults but there would have been enough space for 10 more:). The only challenge was the strong winds at night that kept my kids awake a little but to me, this is part of the charm.

Thank you Sophie for staying at our TreeTop House. Yes winds in January can be very challenging. They are the trade winds coming from the Atlantic Ocean. Monteverde is located right below the continental divide and still gets some of that strong wind. As you say it is part of the charm of Monteverde's unique Cloud Forest.

Top-tier host, charming property in a magical place

Monteverde is a magical place, and the treehouse offers a great location, charm, and amazing host for new and returning visitors. Sabine offered insightful advice and help with sketching out and booking an itinerary and was attentive in all communication. The various levels of the treehouse have private access points/keys so you can easily allow groups to spread out and get some space for individual privacy and downtime while easily being able to reconnect as a whole group. Completely luscious surroundings and beauty. It's a very special property in a place the whole world should strive to visit.

Treehouse in the forest

The property is whimsical and charming, but a lot of stairs and different areas are not connected to each other. Fairly close to town and some shops and coffee houses. Great views of the forest. Loved hearing the birds in the morning. The kitchenette was bare bones and not easy to cook in. We ended up going out for more meals than we planned on.

Thank you Marnie to point out that the TreeTop House on 4 levels includes having stairs to get from one level to the other. You can get from one space to the other either through the side part (all under the roof) or through the out side spaces. They are all connected! This makes our place so special and unique. Lots of spaces for hiding and privacy yet spending time with your family or group. And of course you are pointing out the correct: it is a kitchenette and not a full kitchen! In our description of the listing we are stating this fact.

Truly Tree Top

Sabine was great, she set up tours, arranged transportation and was readily available. If you won't have your own car I suggest getting groceries before you check in. The house is set up into mini apartments with a lot of stairs which could be difficult for some. The decor fits with environment. We had a great time in Monteverde, it is a beautiful area.

Fantastic house, great location, perfect base for biological reserve

The house has a range of rooms allowing everyone in our group of 9 to find their own space. Kids enjoyed chilling out in the hammocks and the querky, arty feel to the house was lovely. They provide indoor shoes (lovely touch) as floors/ steps are slippery. Bus to the reserve and main town stops at bottom of the drive so the location is spot on for the biological reserve or the children’s eternal forest. Only negatives- Very windy during our stay so noisy in top room due to typical CR roofing. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hope to visit again soon

Thank you Amanda for your feedback. We are still holding up on all the before mentioned in 2022 even the winds that occur from time to time for a day or 2 in the area of the Monteverde Cloud Forest - we keep them alive :-) and yes, you can escape the noise of them on the lower levels.
