Green Jewel is a small family-owned business managed by Melvin’s family. It all started back in 2015 with Melvin and his wife Saray. Their passion for nature and desire to share the beauties of the area with guests from all over the world, made them open the doors of their house to nature lovers. They’ve hosted over 800 guests, 80% of which were guided byMelvin himself to different attractions in the area, such as the Curi Cancha reserve, the Ecological farm in San Luis and many more places.
With Melvin’s passing away on May 29th, 2021 due to a heart attack, his wife and children have taken over the family business. They are committed to delivering the best customer service experience to each guest that stays in their lodge. They’ll help you find a local guide that can lead you through the most interesting parts of Monteverde and its surroundings. A guide can create your itinerary, can offer tips on where and what to eat, what to enjoy and what to avoid.
