Nolin Lakefront Cabin

Lovely lakefront cabin for year round enjoyment! This home features 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths in a wonderful location on Nolin Lake. There is a cove located down a gradual path at the base of the property for swimming, fishing and boating. Amenities include kayaks, lily pad, board games, charcoal grill and fire pit.

We are just 40 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park.

Please note that Nolin Lake is owned by the US Army Corp of Engineers and is used for flood control. Lake access is best during the summer as the Corp lowers the lake (25 / 30 feet) starting mid October with lake levels returning mid April. Also, per the US Army Corp of Engineers, renters are not allowed to access the dock.

The house is beautiful and well kept. We had a family of 20 and there was plenty of room. The kids loved the kayaks and had a blast in the lake. We visited Mammoth Caves and the Onyx cave, both were short trips. It is a beautiful part of the country.

Description was incorrect.Only one or two people could fish or swim at the path you had to use.What good is that when you go to spend time as a family.

Great vacation spot

We went to Mammoth caves for a fun trip. Our Vrbo house was amazing! Had all the amenities of home, a wonderful fire pit, and my most favorite feature was the large screened in porch in the backyard. We could all be together, and enjoy the outside air and sounds without being eaten alive by the bugs!

Relaxing lake cabin in the woods

Spacious and well appointed cabin with beautiful setting in the woods. Short walk to the lake and great swimming & recreation area. Owners were very helpful and thought of all details to help us have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly recommend!

Mammoth Cave vacation

Great location for our family Thanksgiving gathering

The house is lovely. Spacious and very adequately stocked. We shared the house with my son and his wife and two kids. The separation of the bedrooms and bathrooms on each of the two floors worked perfectly for family privacy and togetherness as each was needed. We had plenty of room to share Thanksgiving dinner with our family that included two other children and there families, who stayed in another house just around the corner. We all have lasting memories of our week together.

Fall Weekend in October

I had researched for weeks and looked at dozens and dozens of properties before deciding to reserve this property. The communication was wonderful, every instruction for us was clear and precise. Every question that I had was answered promptly. When we arrived at the property, everything was exactly as described. The layout of the house and property were ideal. The living room area was very cozy and my favorite part was the backyard. There is a wonderful tree canopy in the back where the sun shines through and that is where we spent most of our time sitting. We each were responsible for being cooking two meals. Every utensil and piece of cookware that we needed was available and clean. All of the beds were comfortable and clean. There are an abundance of windows which we took a vantage of being that the temperature was in the high 60s/low 70s. The back deck has two levels, and although we did not spend any time on the lower level, we loved the upper level. There is more than enough seating to accommodate any group. All of the furniture is nice and in good condition. We kept the fire pit going and there was plenty of firewood available. The neighborhood is very nice, and the area of the lake that we were on was ideal. It was a wonderful experience at a wonderful property.

Great Lakefront Cabin

Our family had a great stay at this awesome cabin. The setting is beautiful and the house had everything we needed and more. The location is very peaceful but also close to Mammoth Cave State Park and the bourbon trail. We also rented a pontoon from Wax Marina and enjoyed a couple days out on the lake. Overall, a great vacation!

Had everything we needed and more !

Had something for every age . Having kayaks, life jackets, horse shoes, games, was wonderful. Having some pantry items was very nice. Overall, very clean and a great place for families.

Love the Lakehouse

Perfect place to make special memories !!

This lake house was just awesome!! It has everything that you need, to have a great time. Hats off to Sarah, the host of the house !! She was very prompt on any question that we had. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. The kids loved it, never saw a boring moment out of them. The only complaint that came out of there mouths was why can't we stay longer.

Perfection!

First, I need to say that Sarah the owner was by far the best! Communication was top notch from the start. She quickly responded to my many questions and provided additional information. Now on to the property…it is officially our favorite rental to date. The home was clean, had everything we needed and then some, and the grounds were peaceful & beautifully relaxing. We have 5 kids ages 5, 6, 9, 11, & 13 so it is difficult to find something that makes everyone happy. As soon as we got there they all instantly said they loved it (shocked Mom & Dad here)! While the weather was a little on the chilly side we were totally prepared (it was warmer than our home state of IL) and there wasn’t a dull moment. Our friends from Tennessee also came to visit with their 3 kids and same thing…instant love. The lake wasn’t totally full yet but our 9 year old managed to catch a nice bass & collected lures others had lost (like Christmas for our most enthusiastic fisherman). The pictures do not do this property justice…between Sarah & all things we needed/wanted in a vacation, we CANNOT wait to book our next visit for summer!! 5 stars across the board, thank you again Sarah!

Greatest fall weekend!

Amazing place to stay and to get pleasure from house, backyard with fire pit and beautiful lake with pier, fishing and swimming. House is stuffed with all general needs. Kayaks are really cool addition to vacation. Recommend to visit it!

Beautiful Getaway

What a relaxing home! The porch was my favorite place looking over a large backyard (with horseshoes and a fire pit) and the path to the lake. The children's favorite was fishing from the kayaks which easily launched off the close dock. The home was spacious even with our party of 11! Wifi and entertainment was easily accessible and the kitchen had all we needed for the week. Don't miss out on the hiking trails in the area (make a reservation for Mammoth Cave) and also visit the local antique stores!
