Cabin 1: This Listing is for a Two-Bedroom Cabin with a queen bed, a full bed and a sleeper sofa.
This cabin can sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children.

We have eight beautiful cabins between Port Austin and Port Hope, MI that are all just steps away from Lake Huron. Each cabin has a kitchen, bathroom, dining area, living room, bathroom with shower, and a screened in porch facing the water. There are five 2 bedroom cabins and two 1 bedroom cabins.

The property is located adjacent to Lighthouse Park, and we have beautiful views of the Pte. Aux Barques Lighthouse as well as breathtaking sunrises and sunsets to be enjoyed with the relaxing sound of gentle waves.

These cabins were built in the 1940's so they have a vintage look and feel, but include all the modern conveniences of home, with electric, city water, heat and A/C, WiFi, and TV!

Includes: Each cabin is furnished with a refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, cookware, , picnic table and outdoor gas grill.

Water: Lightkeepers has city water provided from the Port Hope municipal water system.

Internet Service/WIFI/ TV - Free internet, ROKU TV and WIFI. The cabins have flat screen HDTVs.

This place was so comfortable and cozy. Lake right out the back door and a stocked kitchen, all you need to bring is the food, as they supplied the coffee! We had such a great time. I am inmy third trimester and just wanted a quiet get away in the fall before baby came, and the drive, the surrounding towns, and the lighthouse literally a 5 minute walk east was exactly what we needed. Thank you so much! Hopefully will be back with our little one someday, maybe in warmer weather to use the lake access!

The property owners were very friendly and were willing to help should we need it. The rules regarding smoking or even vaping (which I don’t do) were over the top. But, you didn’t know about that until after booking your stay and reading the linked rules page to an email you get. The setting was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was cozy. However the seating in the living room was limited to an old worn couch that was very uncomfortable. My bestie sat in a chair we brought to sit at the fire pit with, the entire time. We did have a relaxing time and enjoyed our stay.

Very beautiful and peaceful. They updated all cabins but 2. The cabin we were in was clean but needs to be updated . We will continue to go up there everyvyear at fall time.

A cozy cabin on the shore of Lake Huron. Excellent location for exploring Michigan's Thumb. The csbin is small but comfortable and has everything needed.

Cute cabin in a beautiful location. Beds were very comfy and towels were soft and fluffy. Loved opening the windows and listening to the waves at night. Short walk to the lighthouse next door. Hosts were wonderful and responded quickly to our text when the grill was low on propane. Having firewood available on site was very helpful. Although there were other cabins nearby, it felt like you had privacy. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning

The cabin was small, rustic and historic. We were delighted. Enchanted. Recent upgrades were apparent, but so glad they kept the charm and flavor of the old gal. We loved the sunsets, fire, sounds of waves, breezes, views, catching glimpses of freighters. Walking to the lighthouse park, and following their trail. Bed was so comfy. We were very very comfortable.

An Awesome Trip

The cabin is right on Lake Huron which was absolutely gorgeous. Sitting outside watching the ships was very cool. Listening to the waves is very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable so we slept really good. Looking forward to coming there again

Perfect Cabin!

WE so enjoyed our stay in the cabin, so perfect and great check in, we loved being by the lake and watching the sunsets and sunrises and visiting the lighthouse, listening to the waives and the stars are so bright, just relaxing and enjoying it all and taking it in, Loved working with the owners, loved the touches they put on the cabin. LOVED LOVED OUR PERFECT CABIN AND STAY!

Great trip

We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Cabin is Rustic, as advertised. Reminded both of us of family cabins from our childhoods. The open ceilings and tiny bathroom and kitchen were just fine with us. It was a great size for 2 adults. Right on Lake Huron, listening to the waves and watching the water was like therapy. Bein g from West Michigan, we were a little surprised by how many shops and restaurants had already closed for the season.

Wonderful place to stay

My family is coming to Lightkeepers cabins for almost 10 years. It’s my favorite vacation place. The view of the lake is gorgeous morning and night, especially considering that the lake is few feet from the cabin. I love swimming, so are my husband and 4 kids, and we enjoyed the clean water of Lake Huron from the private beach area. This year we stayed in the cabin 1, it was as usual clean, neat, bedding and kitchen supplies provided enough for a family of 6. When we got some troubles with the shower head, the host answered immediately, and the problem was solved in less than 24 hours. The outside grill wasn’t working properly, so the handyman, who takes care of repairs on the property brought up the brand new grill, so we are able to make some barbecue! We also got free wood for our fire pit for the inconvenience of the broken grill. We were happy to visit and definitely will come again! Thank you!

The owners of this property were some of the best people I have ever met! We will definitely be back to visit them and their beautiful place. There were many days that we didn’t even leave the house! The little beach, clear water at your back door, and cozy cabin…our family loved it!

Delightful Get-away!

We loved our stay at this charming cabin right on Lake Huron! The cabin was clean, the surroundings were quiet, and we enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the lake waves. The bed was really comfortable. The cabin was close to beautiful parks and beaches, and we enjoyed going to the nearby lighthouse museum. We also drove to Sanilac Petroglyphs Historic State Park, and that was another special highlight. The cabin was everything we hoped for, for a little getaway! The hosts were very responsive and nice!

Rustic and relaxing

Beautiful setting and everything you need to enjoy it. Hosts were on site to greet us and very welcoming. All the essentials were provided. We enjoyed relaxing at the fire pit near the beach. Great sunsets! Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was equipped. Thanks for allowing us the use of your cottage!

Perfect

These cabins were so cute. They reminded me of going up north as a kid which was exactly what I wanted. I was able to get up and make coffee and go right out to watch the sunrise over the water, have a fire in the firepit at night, and go for walks at the park right next to the property. Just all around a relaxing quick getaway for my boyfriend and I.
