This house is in a great location. Close to Clark Rd, Detwiler's Farm Market, and Siesta beaches. The house seems to have had the interior refreshed and upgraded. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. The beds are comfy. The lanai area is delightful in the morning and there is a nice backyard surrounded by a high privacy fence. We enjoyed it very much.

Hi Mike, As discussed, we provided you a credit for the portion of the reservation that we received as a host, the remaining was taxes and fees that were applied directly from VRBO. We also discussed that while I provided all of a credit I could provide, that you needed to call VRBO to discuss a credit for taxes and fees. We had just remodeled the bathrooms and had no way of knowing that we would have a sewage line blockage which was quickly resolved after your departure. We have only received great reviews on this house. I am disappointed you would provide a 1 star review instead of reaching out to VRBO to discuss the credit for the remainder of your stay.

Spring break get-away

This house was perfect for our stay. It was beautifully decorated, close to the beach , and close to grocery stores, and other restaurants. We will definitely be staying again!

Great home and host in Sarasota

The house was wonderful, clean, well maintained and convenient to downtown Sarasota and Siesta Key. My husband was injured on vacation and hospitalized 11 days at Sarasota Memorial, which was just a few minutes away. The neighborhood felt very safe. Alice was kind, supportive and flexible. We would definitely recommend this property and Alice….and will be staying here when we vacation in Sarasota again.

Florida vacation

My wife and I spent 8 days in this well kept home. The home was very clean and just like we expected. The home was well stocked including beach towels, chairs and umbrella. Located in a quiet-safe area, yet close to the beaches, shopping, and many activities. Alice was very nice and quick to respond. A great host! Bob and Joan

Comfortable & Convenient

This property was perfect for my family of five older adults. It is a spacious open floor plan with plenty of comfortable seating. The house, bathrooms and kitchen are very clean and well-appointed with all the essentials. The location is situated minutes to the beach and surrounded by a good variety of stores and eateries. The host, Alice, is readily available, kind and helpful. I highly recommend this property. Thank you!

Nice house. Very clean. Had no issues whatsoever and would rent again. Wish they allowed pets but I understand some pet owners are not responsible and it could be risky. Overall it was a good week with this place

Check-in was easy. Communication with the host was fantastic. The home layout was very nice; for a family of six it was very comfortable. The drive to Siesta Key Beach and Siesta Key Village was short and easy. There was a lot of linens available in the closet, which was great. Home cleanliness was disappointing. We arrived on Friday and by Saturday evening we had seen five roaches in the kitchen area, including one in the toaster. I messaged the host on Saturday, who responded right away and had Care Free Pest Solutions there on Tuesday. In the mean time, we slept with the lights on to hopefully keep the critters hiding and we didn't see another one the rest of the trip. There were dust bunnies on the ceiling at each air vent, dirt on the thermostat, insect droppings/spots in the kitchen utensils drawer, etc. With the roaches and dirt, things just felt dirty. Only one of two lights on either side of the beds in two rooms were plugged in and the outlet was inaccessible centered behind the bed headboard. There was an electrical box recessed in the ceiling that had no cover, so the capped off wires were exposed. Was this a terrible stay, absolutely not; we still very much enjoyed the visit to Siesta Key. If the roaches and cleanliness were addressed for future stays, I'd gladly stay here again.

Thank you, Christopher. We were sorry about the issues. As mentioned, we have the property treated by a pest company quarterly. When temperatures drop for the first time, pests try to gain access to the house any way they can. Once treated inside the house, this typically addresses the issue. Just after your departure, we started some major renovations to the home including remodeling both bathrooms, some interior painting, installation of new interior doors and deep cleaning. We hope you do try us out next time as I think you will be pleased with the updates.

Sarasota 2023

This is our 2nd year in S Sarasota and our 2nd house with Alice as a host (which we have learned is a big component of short term house rental). We would have been in the first house again this year if it wasn’t already taken for Feb 2023. This house offered the same neat, clean accommodations—tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. Check-in was easy. House is located on a somewhat busy street, but in a quiet, well kept neighborhood. We enjoyed the screened in porch for dinners and the privacy of the fenced-in backyard, along with the fire pit on cool nights. There was an ample supply of bath towels and bedding. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of dinnerware and glasses; basic cookware and bakeware items; and a choice of Keurig machine or standard drip for coffeemaker. Thermostat to regulate heat & AC was easy to operate for comfortable temperatures. We were within walking distance of Detwiler’s market, which we found to be a great, affordable market for produce and meats. A plus with was the Farmer’s market in the Phillipi Estate Park on Wednesdays (Oct-April). The bike ride from the house to Siesta Beach was about 25 minutes. Alice was always responsive and even replaced the grill while we were there. This house offers everything you need for a comfortable stay.

2 Week Get Away

House in great location for Sarasota / Siesta Key activities. House was very clean upon arrival. Spent many days at the beach and used supplied beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. Grill was used a few times. Alice was very responsive to our questions and minor issues during our stay. Overall a great house to relax and spend time in Florida.

We had a great time at this home it was located at a handy location ,clean neighborhood,great backyard w fire pit. Made burgers and steaks on the grill it was a good fit for us our 16 month old loved the place:)

Great House Close To Everything Good In Sarasota

Our family stayed there over Christmas vacation, and we had a wonderful time. The house is centrally located and close to the beaches. There's enough space to have alone time, and the backyard with the firepit was terrific. The kitchen functioned perfectly, and the whole house was clean. I think you would enjoy staying at this house with your family. We had a minor issue, and Alice responded quickly and was very nice.
