Lakefront property with beautiful view of Lake Zumbro 20 mins from Rochester

Lake Zumbro... a little piece of heaven not far from Rochester where you can relax and create memories that last a lifetime!

Our vacation rental on Lake Zumbro will offer you a spectacular view of the lake in any season. Fenced in yard, landscaped steps, and beautiful gardens will lead you to our 2 bedroom cottage with a covered porch, outside dining area, and outside bar area.

The cottage is quaint, cozy, and has many comforts from home complimented with a beautiful lake view and lake access. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a closet and the second bedroom has 2 queen beds and a shelved closet. The living room and kitchen are open in design.

Out the front door, with a direct view of the lake, stairs lead down to the water where there is a large floating dock to accommodate relaxation in the sun or entertainment on the water. Ladder entry into and out of the water. Bring your own boat and tie up! Paddle boards and swim mat are there for your use. Life jackets not provided.

The game room is a large room in the garage with a pullout couch, futon, TV and large table perfect for family game night!


The Cottage is only 2 minute walk from Uncle John's Bar & Restaurant (open Thursday-Sunday) and a 5 minute walk from the King's Marina where you can rent pontoons during the summer time.

Looking for a fun new hobby to learn?? Want to enhance or your waterski or wakeboard skills?? Check out bigwatersports.com to set up lessons! This company is owned and ran by Carter, he offers many different forms of lessons at daily and weekly rates for all ages! You can inquire and book through his website. He will pick you up and ski right from the cottage dock!

Great lake cottage vacation spot for us and our toddler. Outdoor spaces were excellent, and bathroom was nicely updated. Cozy and welcoming!

Right off the lake was so fun! The kids swam off the dock every day and we all took wakeboarding lessons from Carter (Big Water Sports). He worked with our kids ages 11, 9, 7, and 5 so well. They learned a lot and had a blast! I would highly recommend him! It was super convient that he could pick us up/drop us off at our dock AND that we could watch them wakeboard from our dock and see the progress they were making so quickly! The water was warm and very calm because of the surrounding hills and trees blocking any wind. The kids loved the water pad provided to play on too. The cottage was great and we were able to make all our meals there without eating out. Oh and the dock is big/wide and partly in the shade of some trees, which was perfect for us as parents who wanted to watch our kids activity without getting sunburnt. The back yard is also fenced in and shaded. Just a great expierence overall, super fun and relaxing.

This was a lovely property well taken care of asked with a beautiful view and easy lake access. There was clearly a lot of thought from the owners, from extra bug spray to a well stocked game room. We only had six guests but could have accommodated up to eight utilizing couches if needed.

Lake Zumbro Getaway

Clean cute cabin. Location to Rochester was an easy 20 minute drive. Cities along the Mississippi River were a 30 to 45 minute drive for shopping/site seeing/dining. Owners replaced the coffee maker promptly the next day when I commented that it was not working correctly.

Mayo Clinic cancer surgery

I was here 5 weeks while my husband had major surgery. If you’re wondering if it’s too far- it’s not. If you’re wondering if it’s too small- it’s not. Ignore the couple of bad reviews or comments. Some people just suck. My favorite rental I’ve ever stayed at. A little piece of Heaven after the stress of the hospital. Bill and bette were great and make sure to meet neighbor Sue, next door. I’ve made friends your life. Do yourself a favor and book.

Fun lakeside stay

Good times and pretty lake front. The cleaning solution was extremely strong when we arrived... I definitely recommend changing that to something much weaker. Otherwise everyone had a good time.

Cottage life

We had a great experience at the Cottage! Very peaceful and had a great homey feeling! Fence around the yard was awesome for our kids too. We spent days relaxing and swimming off the dock. We also fished and kayaked alittle bit too. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Home Away From Home

This cozy cottage on the lake had everything our group of 7 needed! Ideal for groups with lots of room to spread out inside with the use of the “bonus room” connected to the garage and numerous outside spaces to relax and enjoy the incredible view of the lake! The paddle boards and Maui Mat got lots of use! Appreciative of all the thoughtful touches that were provided! Communication with the host was quick and easy throughout our stay! We would definitely return!

Relaxing place

Great view of the lake, cozy, beds are super comfy kitchen is well stocked and has what you would need to enjoy a good meal… would have been nice to have access to TV we were there to recover from medical issues and not having that was rough but they did have videos so that helped… moving the smart TV would be a nice added bonus… overall a nice relaxing place
