The Deep Forest Green Cottage | 2 Bed, 2 Bath

Mountain bungalow, recently updated with covered porch, split bedroom plan and new appliances.  Good wifi and excellent location near DuPont State Park in Cedar Mountain, NC.  Fifteen minutes to downtown Brevard, NC.
Tastefully decorated, three queen beds in two bedrooms.
The hardwood floors have been recently refinished, the bathrooms have an industrial feel with steel panels, the washer and dryer are available to keep your clothes clean, this home has lots of travel memoribilia from the owners personal travels around the world.  Seasoned travelers will appreciate this simple home with pictures from all over and a large magnet collection on the fridge documenting the travel destinations.
The living room has a cathedral ceiling and is really a great room with the kitchen and dining room all here.  The primary bedroom has a tub and shower, towels and hand soap are provided.
The second bedroom is off the living room and is five steps lower and has a bathroom steps from the bedroom door, it is really like a second master bedroom.  This bedroom has two queen sized beds and the linens are provided, simple and clean.
The front porch has two rocking chairs.  Under the front porch is a great place to store bicycles, if needed.
Only minutes from DuPont State Park Trails and local hangouts like the Canteen.  Ideal location if you are attending a wedding at PRETTY PLACE in Cedar Mountain.

The Host
As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone.  Each home is supplied with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable.  Our cleaning crew is local, paid a living wage and are trained so that you can enjoy your vacation in a clean home.
Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation with a link to the essential information you need to enjoy your stay like the door code and the directions.  The digital guide book has information on the property and also on the area including restaurants, grocery stores and popular destinations.  Guests can go straight to the property at check-in time.

The Deep Forest Green Cottage was an ideal location for us this trip, as we planned our stay around a viewing of sunrise at Symmes Chapel, just magical to witness there.

Perfect Getaway!

It was our first time staying at Deep Forest Green and it was wonderful! Very well appointed cabin. The front porch was where we spent most of our time. Our pup Forest loved it as well. We will definitely be back!

Fall Break Getaway

The place was perfect for us (myself, my wife and our 10 year old daughter and her best friend, our 2 year old Boaxador (maybe). We hiked and ate out in Brevard and also had a great lunch at the Cedar Mountain Cafe. Highly Recommend the place.

Last minute getaway

Friends told us about the Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Decided to take a last minute trip and go on a couple of hikes. Was glad we found this cabin. It was close to both forest yet in a quiet and private area. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. Would stay again.

Lovely, cozy spot

Falling asleep to a little bit of rain on the tin roof was wonderful! It was a great size for a family of 4 and we loved exploring the Cedar Mountain area, Brevard and Hendersonville. Don’t forget to bring your own coffee & creamer if you’re a coffee fiend like me. Thanks for a lovely time!

Quiet location in the Woods

This property is close enough to everything (Dupont, Ceasar's Head, Brevard, etc), but far enough away that you have silence at the cottage. No traffic noise or dogs barking if you need a quiet place to stay. The property was equipped with everything needed and the check-in/out procedures were clear and simple. Very clean.

The cottage was comfortable, clean, and private. The setting was ideal for nature lovers. There was an Eastern Phoebe nest in the eaves that was fun to watch. We appreciated the timely communication from White Squirrel regarding check-in and check-out. We felt like we could get ahold of someone should the need arise.

Stay went very smoothly.

Stay went very smoothly. Rental had everything you would need for your stay. Everything was up to date and the property was very nicely decorated . The linens were perfect and the beds were most comfortable. In all, a lovely and comfortable place to stay . Team was excellent. Kept us abreast of everything. Received very prompt, friendly and excellent responses of inquiries made.

Great stay!

We had a great stay! The property was clean and had more than enough room. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing a nice meal. The porches provided quiet retreat surrounded by trees. Thank you for making is so comfortable! We will definitely look at staying here again when we return to the area.

great getaway

I loved this house. There were only 2 of us, but 2 more people could easily spread out here. The cabin is 10 miles or so outside of Brevard, but extremely close to hiking and biking trails. I would stay here again.
