There is absolutely no surveillance located at the property. The house is immaculately kept and while pet friendly, there has never been a dog or cat on the premises to date. The washer and dryer were brand new in September of 2021 and have only been used by me, the host. I go above and beyond to make certain that each and every guest has a wonderful experience while staying at “The Little House In The Grove”. Between guests, the house gets a very thorough, deep, sanitizing cleaning by myself, the host. Brand new sundries including make up remover, soaps, shampoos, toothbrush/toothpaste and brand new razors are included. 99.9% of our guests have been absolutely amazing, but there’s always that 1% that tries to ruin it for everyone else. The extra cleaning fee charged to the guest that left this poor review is due to documented damages that were well within the guests control and were caused by either blatant disrespect or ignorance regarding a sense of common courtesy for other peoples property. Continual banging of the recliner and loveseat in the living room and a headboard from one of the bedrooms being continually knocked against the walls causing damage, paint loss and pitting to the freshly painted surfaces. Sheetrock dust was ground into the brand new vinyl plank flooring from where the walls were damaged and curtain rods had to be remounted from where they were recklessly torn down. There was an unidentified icing-type sticky substance ground into the living room area rug in several large places which required a special cleaner to remove. Leather furniture had to be re-oiled in order to remove sticky substances and dried chunks of unidentifiable food. The microwave required a baking soda/vinegar soak to remove burnt food odor. The appliance repair technician was in awe of what heavy items could possibly have been placed in the washer (and for how long) as it was full of blue dye, the wash drum had literally broken away from the washing machine housing and the pump motor had been burned out.
