This adorably decorated beach house on the bay will be sure to make your stay cozy! The cargo lift makes unpacking and bringing up groceries and luggage a breeze. Living room provides seating for 8 with TV that allows streaming on all your favorite platforms, while also enjoying the view of the bay. Full size kitchen features a large island with seating for 4 and counter space needed for cooking or space to play board games. Laundry room off the kitchen also provides a coffee bar with both traditional coffee maker and Keurig for a great cup of coffee while you sit on the deck and watch the boats. With dining for 8, meals together will make great memories. Primary bedroom offers a king size bed for plenty of relaxing sleep and TV with Roku device for streaming. While the primary bathroom offers a large walk in shower and a wonderful soaker tub to allow you to relax, soak and unwind after a fun day in the sun. The second bedroom also offers a king size bed and a twin over twin bunk for extra sleeping and TV with Roku device. The hallway guest bath allows for easy access with a walk in shower for guests. The deck provides a breathtaking view of the bay on three sides. Listening to the water will melt away your day. The picnic table on the deck gives you a great place to share a meal and feel the breeze.


The downstairs area offers a fenced in yard on two sides with the water on the other two sides and a large slab to hang out with the entire family. Picnic table, swinging bench and chairs will help you fall in love with the view this house provides. Two docks, allow for ample fishing space with the west side dock also having a bench, live well and a boat slip with lift, available at request prior to check in. The house provides live bait buckets. Under the house there is a fish cleaning station with a two tub sink. The outside bar and kitchen area provides a full size refrigerator, two burner cook top, sink, Keurig, TV with Roku device. You also have access to a sein to catch bait on the beach, crab traps, crab boil pot, burner and crab cracking dining utensils.

Fishing, Views and Privacy...perfect house on Port Bolivar.

Great location for privacy, fishing and the ferry. Views are stunning and can be seen from just about all directions. Check in was easy and only a few minor things with the house. The house was beautifully decorated and well equipped. Bait is close or try one of the two ponds with a cast net.

Very nice house on the bay!

This vacation house was as advertised. It was very clean and had lots of space to spread out. The tiki bar area below the house was a nice place to hang out and watch the big boats/barges in the bay. A couple of evenings we also saw dolphins swimming by, right at the dock. Speaking of the dock- it was very sturdy to walk on and was big enough to have your own space while fishing. The dock also had lights for night fishing. My husband and I would definitely rent this place again.

Great Fishing Needs Maintanence

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our fourth year renting this house. We love the location, the sunsets and the fishing. This home was perfect 4 years ago. Each year we watch the property become less than what it once was. Downstairs ice maker, downstairs fridge freezer, pressure washer for boat, various lights inside and pier fishing lights don’t work. Faucets that move all over and leak, stove that wobbles, locker doors rusted and hard to open close. Master bath shower shows moisture issues and there are soft spots in the floor of the house all over. There is a property dispute and the beach no longer exists nor access to get into the water easily. Yet we will likely come back because of the location.

Great view of the bay and the very busy Galveston Bay.

This is located in a great spot on the bay! You can see The ferry coming in and out and all the container ships and all water going vessels that keep our country supplied. The fishing pier/boat dock was great except the wind was blowing 25 to 40 mph the whole weekend but you can't control Mother Nature : ) !! Highly recommend this location. Our only problem we had with this place was the lack of a trash can in the kitchen. There was a wicker clothes hamper in the kitchen next to the utility room but no trash can?

A beautiful house with beautiful views

We booked the house for our family to get away for the weekend and never dreamed we would fall in love with the area as well as the house. It was perfect. The real estate managing agency was amazing to work with. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed watching the big freight ships go by and the birds. My granddaughter loved everything about it. The weather was gloomy and rainy but we enjoyed all the covered outdoor areas. My son caught a huge red and we caught tons of hermit crabs and a couple of blue crabs. The whole experience was great. We plan on coming back soon.

Potential for a great house, but needs some work

House is very nice. A/C worked great. Nice views of the sunsets and we had multiple dolphin sightings. Location is great - right around the corner from the ferry. A couple of negatives: 1. Listing stated and showed pictures that there is a small private beach for use. When we arrived, the neighbors had put up a fence at the edge of the yard blocking all access and had signs up "Private Property - Keep Out". Was told by realtor that they would check into it and get back to me, but we never heard anything back. 2. Multiple weak / rotten wood spots in the subfloor, especially in the master bedroom in front of the sliding doors. Was told that they (owner / realtor) were aware of it, but had too many bookings back to back to get it taken care of at this time. 3. Fishing off the dock for the most part is very poor due to being super shallow as far as you can cast. Multiple lights burnt out on the docks. 4. Front door uses a key that has to be picked up from the realtor instead of a keypad. Then has to be returned back to their office once you have checked out. Their office is 15+ minutes from the house in Crystal Beach, so this wastes 30+ minutes if you are taking the ferry. Side note - not the owners fault, but the outdoor kitchen / downstairs area is unusable during the summer months due to the mosquitos.

It is SO peaceful watching the ships, barges, & boats go by, and the sunsets are incredible from the wraparound deck. My husband and son are avid fishermen, and although the weather didn't cooperate for fishing (SUPER windy over SB, and then it got COLD), they caught a bunch of crabs in the numerous crab traps. The home itself was very nice. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds are super comfy and the cargo elevator was a godsend. La Playita Mexican Restaurant down the road is very good. Also enjoyed the food and views at Stingaree. Highly recommend. We will most definitely book this property again.If I could make one suggestion it would be to add keyless entry to the property. We came across via the ferry (which is super close to the property), but then had to drive into town to get the keys and then drive back to the property. Same deal for checkout. Inconvenient after a long day of travel (we drove in from KS).
