Gulf Shores July ‘25

We loved our room, location and price were great. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We got lucky and found it last minute. Good view right in front of the pool on the 2nd floor. Beach access is directly across the street. We did lose a set of keys while we were there. It should have 2 Toyota key fobs and other miscellaneous keys along with a key multi-tool somewhere either in the room or on the beach or anywhere in between if someone would happen to find it.

Not ready for renters

Not contacted by area manager when we let them know unit was not ready for rental. Vacasa was just fine in Dauhin Island. Gulf Shores beware.

Highly recommend. Will stay here again!

We loved the stay here. The condo was clean and everything worked great. There was a small leak at the side of the fridge when we got there but was not a nuisance at all to our stay; I was able to easily communicate with maintenance about this with no problem. We had a perfectly clear view of the beach from the condo which was absolutely perfect! Beach access was just a short walk across the road. The traffic was never heavy in front of the condo and the beach was not crowded at all. We will definitely stay again!

What you need to bring or buy before you arrive

The condo is nice, but you’re supplied with only 2 garbage bags, 2 dishwasher pods and zero coffee filters for a 4 night stay.

Nice accommodations for good price.

We enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. We would suggest that if 2 beach chairs and an umbrella was available, that would be a huge improvement. The washer and dryer worked well. The view of the gulf was great from the balcony. Everything was clean but some things (couch and chairs) were coming to the end of their useful life. We would stay here again. Communication with Vacasa was excellent. Wi-Fi was a little slower than we are used to. Pool and hot tub were a nice touch.

Spring Break mini stay

Unit was very clean, and quaint. Loved the area and pool! Staff was friendly and helped us with our extra parking passes. Easy access and short walk to the beach. Would stay here again!

Great location, perfect view, somewhat dirty condo

Loved the location, check in/out was simple, nice amenities, fair price, and it’s a cute little condo with ample off street parking. The condo was fairly dirty. It didn’t bother me but would probably bother a lot of people. It looks like the cleaning crew just cleans surfaces and ignores windows, lighting/wall fixtures, baseboards, etc. The tile floor was in poor shape, kitchen faucet leaks and the patio door was really difficult to lock. Couch is also in rough shape. Things I wish I would’ve known so I could supply my own ahead of time: They supply two rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, two dishwasher detergent tabs, three packs laundry detergent, a travel size bottle of dish soap, travel shampoo, travel conditioner, two bars bath soap, and plenty of washcloths and bath towels. You need to supply your own hand soap for the bathroom and your own dish sponge for kitchen. The bedding is not adequate at all which was the only thing I found to be a real problem. Soaps we can buy but I wasn’t going to go buy three comforters to use for four nights. I’m super thankful we had some throw-blankets with us for our drive because we used them to sleep all four nights. There is zero bedding for the hideabed which thankfully we didn’t use. There’s a very thin and stained white blanket on the bunk beds and same thing on the king bed. Flat pillows on all beds so bring your own. I would definitely stay here again but it would be super helpful if the listing would be more transparent on what is actually supplied and what isn’t. Maybe supply a bar of hand soap instead of two bars of bath soap. It would be really nice to ensure adequate bedding for all beds listed in the condo and if not, at least disclose that information in the listing. You list that it sleeps 6 but really it only sleeps 4 unless you go buy bedding or bring your own. A few quilts or cheap comforters in the closet would go a long way.

DeBates Getaway !

We loved that it was across the street from the Gulf state park, for the price it was amazing, I will definitely be back next year, only thing tht was wrong with the room was the tile needs fixed I tried with tile adhesive but too much sand underneath..... THE BEST !

Everything was great! Hotel was very clean and well kept and everything we expected. Would recommend updating the floors and the bathroom baseboards but it wasn’t a big deal and everything was still nice. I’d stay here again for sure!

Needs updating but is OK

The front door was heavy but never latched fully on its own, the slider to the balcony did not lock. There was dirt caked on the floorboards in the bathroom and the balcony really needs to be cleaned. The decor/fixtures are outdated and an outlet in the kitchen is not grounded correctly and so that outlet only worked part of the time. It was an amazing location to the beach though and my boys loved the ocean and the pool.

Nothing to love, this place was awfully filthy! Called to let them know how dirty and sebt pictures. Someone came and changed the moldy agower curtain and vacuumed the rat droppings and inch thick dust but the baseboards and floor were still nasty! It is an older unit and needs to be updated but clean it first.

Stay was just ok

First there was no covers for the fold out couch. The sheets did not fit the couch and the mattress on the couch was just springs no padding. Room needs a deep cleaning. Beach is not just across the street as advertised. You have to cross a very busy highway and at night there’s no lighting in front of condo to let traffic aware of you crossing. It’s a very long hot walk through the sand dunes to get to the beach. Also if you go in a group and want to hang out to have a good time it won’t happen. There’s security that harasses you we were told 11:00 pm is quiet time. I’d say this is a condo for the older generation

Grand Beach Resort

Wow! What a great condo, location, and trip we had. The condo was very clean, easy access to check in with the provided code, and a quick and easy beach access. The facility had a very nice pool and hot tub, as well as vending machines and ice for sale. We loved the beach view on our spacious balcony. We will be back! This was a great place to stay and have a nice, relaxing trip.
