Watch For Hidden Fees!!!
Be careful of the hidden fees that will be deducted from your security deposit.Upon checking out, the host, accused me of withholding 3 bath towels. I politely responded that I did not take the towels and asked if she perhaps mixed up my rental with another one. She was adamant that she didn’t make a mistake. I was told they were going to deduct the cost of 3 towels from my security deposit. I completely understand that if anything was missing it would be deducted from my security deposit, however, I find it extremely inappropriate and unprofessional to accuse a guest of stealing and attack their character. When I asked if I could come to the property to discuss the issue in person, since I was very taken aback by the accusations, I was told that if I came to the property, the police would be called. I was appalled at the extreme lack of customer service.I would recommend finding another place to stay as they will look for ways to withhold as much of your security deposit as possible.I’m local to the area and went there for a staycation. I didn’t even pack a bag, I only brought a change of clothes. If they are willing to treat one of their own this way, I can only imagine how somebody coming in from out of town would be treated.
