Avey Family Fourth of July Retreat 2024

The home was exquisite and perfect for a big family. The boys had a wonderful bonding experience in the basement with the pool table and kitchen area. The pictures in the listing do not do it justice. The home is absolutely gorgeous. We had a great time at Lake Lanier this year!!

A Merry Christmas

We really enjoyed being able to sit in front of the fire and sit in the hot tub on a cold and dreary week. The place was nice and the host was helpful. Everything was as advertised except for the water pressure.

Another awesome getaway

Missy’s property is spacious and perfectly equipped for preparing Thanksgiving dinner! Our second stay in this home was as wonderful as the first! Perfect for family time and close to hiking and golf. Thank you for sharing your home for our getaways!

Great Place to Spread Out and Relax

From the moment we walked into the door we knew this was going to be a great vacation. Clean, with every convenience of home. The kitchen is as chef’s dream. I should know after all I am a chef. The game room and bar area spacious and warm and the bedrooms comfy and well appointed. The private dock is great and snuggled into a private cove. You will love it here!

Awesome getaway spot

Spent Thanksgiving week with family. The house is so warm, had every amenity needed and the owner was fabulous with communications. If we had a question, she was less than a minute text away! We really enjoyed the kitchen gathering area and played a lot of pool, since we all grew up with a pool table thre was a lot of fun "tournaments" during football! I loved all the little lamps throughout house and the ambiance was delightful. I would definitely go back, just wish I could make the 11 hour drive a bit less!!!!

Wonderful Experience

This rental is perfect for families or groups of friends. Plenty of room to spread out, a wonderful kitchen fully stocked for cooking, super clean hot tub, and Melissa (the owner) could not have been nicer or more accessible if we needed anything. Would not hesitate to rent again

Large comfortable lake house

The house was roomy and well appointed, the kitchen was especially well stocked and beds were comfortable. Downstairs has a large game room with a pool table and bar. Listing was a bit inaccurate as there are four total bedrooms, two full baths and two half baths. Lake dock is located down a pretty steep hill, but you can drive down Sams Rd to access the dock as well. Hosts have a LOT of house rules and the property could use a good outside window cleaning to remove spider webs and nests, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent Vacation!

Rented this beautiful home for my husbands birthday long weekend. Owner has connections to who can deliver and pick up a boat from her dock for an extra fee, which was an amazing addition. The home held so many unique touches that it made you feel like you were in your own home. The hot tub was dreamy, which is hard to find when looking for a rental on Lake Lanier. The North side of the lake is definitely the place to be if you looking for low traffic, peace and tranquility. Owner was friendly, responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and personable. We will definitely be renting this home again and I highly recommend it!

OUR BEST VRBO TO DATE!!

This place is perfect for us. Dog friendly, best kitchen ever in a VRBO, layout of house and grounds is great for a group or a couple. Enormous. Owner really knows how to accommodate her guests. Photos do not do it justice. For outdoor enthusiasts, plenty of activities minutes away, either walking or via short drives. Already scoping out future dates when we can return for a longer stay, with friends who appreciate a truly great, well appointed lake house. Thank you for sharing what I've started calling The Dawsonville Villa. Our visit could not not have been better.
