The house location was ideal for families visiting the Airforce campus!! Also enjoyed time in Manitou Sorings which is within 20 minutes. So great to have lots of beautiful space inside and out to relax and hang out! Lots of memories made!

We stayed here with family and friends for a wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. The house had plenty of space for everyone, which made it so much nicer than being spread out in separate places and only meeting at restaurants. It gave us the chance to relax, spend time together, and really catch up. The home was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and stocked with all the essentials we needed. Truly a wonderful stay—we couldn’t have asked for a better place!

A perfect place to make memories

We are so grateful to have found this amazing property! Our families were able to make life long memories in this beautiful home! Kathryn was very nice and responsive. If you want an incredible location for hosting or a base to enjoy everything the area has to offer this is the place for you!

Huge, comfortable home

We had a lovely stay at this home. It was very well decorated and comfortable and can accommodate a large group. The gas fire places and hot tub were highlights. Communication with the host was slower than with other rentals we've stayed in but everything worked out fine and we didn't have any issues that needed a quick response.

We had large family gathering - house worked out great. Good: Spacious, good location, generally well appointed and in good condition. Not so good: Not well stocked, some parts run down, fireplace not working. Hot tub super chemically.

Spring break 2020

Everything was awesome. kitchen was very spacious. Master bedroom were huge everybody loved them. Colorado was an awesome experience for our family. Will be back soon.

Amazing property

We used this property to enjoy time with our friends as we got married at Garden of the Gods! We had a get together with all of our friends on the property after the ceremony and it was the perfect setting! On the other nights, the property was perfect to sit by the fire or play yard games. There was something for everyone to do!! Will definitely will recommend the property in the future!

Family vacation

This is a beautiful home! It was very clean. It is a great place to stay if you have a large family. There are plenty of actvities to keep your family entertained during your stay. Everything you need is there for you. There are beautiful views of Black Forest and the Pikes Peak mountain range. We really enjoyed making memories with our family at this hugh luxurious home with everything to offer I definitely recommend staying at this vacation home.

"Just right" vacation home

This was a great house for our three generations. There was plenty of room for everyone. The teens enjoyed the pool table and ping-pong, and the hot tub. The adults enjoyed the porch. Everyone enjoyed movies. The kitchen was plenty big for several cooks at one time. The location was also close to all major attractions on our list. Would definitely stay again if our plans bring us back to Colorado.

Beautiful

Had a great time hosting a company retreat for twelve people. Location is amazing and everything worked well. Katheryn was absolutely amazing to work with and responded very quickly! We needed additional seating at dinner table and she allowed access to borrow chairs from the garage. Had a great time!

Our family of 21 with 12 children, mostly under age 7, had a wonderful stay at Bobcat Lodge for 8 days in June/July! Activities in Colorado Springs were a reasonable drive, groceries, etc., were very convenient, and the Lodge was a delightful retreat from the city! Adults enjoyed the whirlpool once the kids were asleep! The kitchen, eating area, and main living space were very workable! Kathryn promptly answered the few operational questions we had upon arrival. The kids enjoyed the backyard and eating outside on the balcony. We witnessed a beautiful complete double rainbow our last evening! Overall the best of many VRBO rentals we have had over the years!

More than you could ask for

This house was absolutely gorgeous! Kathryn makes it ridiculously easy to find anything you would ever need regarding how things work, WiFi, house rules, etc. The house is extremely spacious and has a spot for your entire group! Our group loved the fire pit, pool table, hot tub, corn hole, and hanging out on the upper deck to enjoy the natural beauty of the property! Would definitely recommend for all types of groups and would stay here again.

Gorgeous property to reconnect with family!

We had such a great time at Joe and Ann's property in Black Forest. The property first jumped out at us because of its' size and quality. We couldn't wait to host our Family Reunion there! Not only was the property everything the photos conveyed, but it was so much more! The space was laid out in a way that our family could connect and spend quality time together in the large gathering areas. I cannot wait to check out other homes that Joe and Ann own for our next vacation!

Great place for a family getaway

Great property, beautiful location. Master suites upstairs and downstairs were terrific. Kitchen and living room were perfect for a large group. Three bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs plus a bunk room w/ no windows. Some of the mattresses need to be replaced. (upstairs room w/ bathroom and a few in the basement) If you dont need to use all the beds, it will be great.

Great spot for a Boy Scout sleepover!

We stayed one night on our way from the Denver airport to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron NM. The location was great! It was a short trip from the Air Force Academy, and only about 10 minutes for groceries and other sundries. The place was super clean and everybody loved (4 adult advisors and 8 scouts 15-17). The boys played football into the evening in the backyard. The best view is from the front door. There is a great back deck with grill, but the view is so-so. Would love to stay again!

Thanksgiving 2019

This was a great home for our needs and wonderfully spacious to have family be able to spread out and enjoy different parts of the home. The 2nd main floor bdrm complete with disability bars in the bathroom was perfect for Grandpa. The kitchen was well equipped and easily facilitated a Thanksgiving dinner for 15. Joe and Michael were responsive to our incidental requests and the proximity of the property to everything we needed was perfect, even with a snow storm in the middle of the week. We saw deer every day, a few bunnies and the whole place was beautiful after a foot of snow! We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Kristine & Jim

The Damons

Loved the property and the setting. But a kitchen isnt a complete without an ice maker! There was one downstairs, but the water was turned off, so we had no ice when we arrived. There were no paper towels and no sponge/scrubby for the sink. This was remedied quickly by the host but should have been there when we arrived.
