The Space:

Welcome to the SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays, the premier condominium in the heart of Destin situated on a private beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! The onsite Scenic Stays team at SunDestin looks forward to welcoming you to your next beach vacation at our 24-hour front desk. The experience of a lifetime awaits! SunDestin Beach Resort features expansive onsite amenities including a newly renovated outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, onsite restaurant, outdoor tiki bar (open seasonally), workout facility, event/meeting space, gift shop, complimentary DVD rentals and much more!



Upon entry to SunDestin Unit 217, you are greeted by a fully appointed, well stocked kitchen for home cooked meals or a quick snack to take to the beach. An open dining and living room concept immediately follow, with comfortable seating for 4 guests and a relaxing sofa and armchair set after a long day at the beach and pool. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the emerald waters welcome you from the living room and spacious balcony with seating for two. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and calming sunsets directly overlooking the beach!



Refresh every night in the comfortable king bed located in the master bedroom, while the kids relax in the queen sofa sleeper located in the living room. Enjoy the flat panel televisions located in the living room and bedroom both equipped with DVD players. DVD rentals are available in the lobby directly across from the gift shop!



Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.



Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

During this time, guests may continue to enjoy beach access via the ADA-accessible pathway located around the side of the building. We are thoughtfully welcoming reservations now and throughout the spring while setting clear expectations in advance to ensure a comfortable, positive stay during this improvement phase.



These enhancements are designed to elevate the guest experience for years to come, and we look forward to welcoming guests in Summer 2026 to a beautifully refreshed SunDestin Beach Resort—one that reflects the level of care, comfort, and coastal hospitality our owners and guests expect.

This was a great place to stay and it was on the beach so there was no driving involved to get to the beach. The unit itself was good 4 out of 5 on cleanliness but thats expected out of these types of locations. Sofa bed matress could use an upgrade but overall a nice stay and convenient.

Great place!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and spacious for a one bedroom. The amenities were great. The restaurant was handy after a long day at the beach. The location was great. Only small issue was wish the room had more towel hooks or another towel rack(only had one rack) to hang bathing suits or beach towels to dry. We would definitely stay here again. We had a great experience!

Nice place

This was a nice little condo and the facility was on the beach so access was simple and easy to get to beach. Cleanliness was decent as with most rentals it could be taken up a notch but it was not bad just small things like sweeping a little better or maybe vacuuming hard floor surfaces. Overall great place to stay and id stay here again.

Major construction

We were not advised of the major construction until after we booked and paid,the floor we stayed on should have been shut down until the renovations were complete or heavily discounted.The girl at the front desk seemed annoyed to check us in,and as I returned my key on the last day the two men sitting at the front desk couldn’t be bothered to look up from their phones. When rolling our suitcases down the halls paint coated the wheels of our suitcases. When we got to the room it was decent,but if you run hot I wouldn’t recommend as when we stayed the temp outside was low 70s for the high with an overcast and the thermostat is set on 71 so we woke up most mornings we would wake up swearing. The bedroom also did not have a fan above us only in the living room,if the thermostat is set to 71 always I do recommend adding a box fan. The only amenity.available was the indoor pool. Normally I don’t leave reviews but this was a special trip and I was highly disappointed.
