Great Summers By The Lake

4 BR/3 BA (sleeps 12-14); This 2700 sq ft with finished basement lake house is sure to provide you with a great view and lots of fun! The main floor has an open concept kitchen. The great room has a vaulted ceiling with a beautiful view of the lake. Lots of windows to bring in natural light. The main floor has a Master bedroom with a full bath. It has large windows with a beautiful lake view. There are also two bedrooms on the main floor.

Bedroom one has a twin over queen. This bedroom also has a lake view. Bedroom two has a twin over queen and another twin bed. Bedroom 4 is on the lower level and has two queen beds and a full bathroom. There is a sitting area with a queen sofa bed as well. Washer and 2 dryers and linens provided. The house has a flat screen t.v. in the great room, wifi, cable, DVD player, CD player, board games and toys. You will enjoy hikes along the shoreline trail around Castle Rock Lake. Bring your ATV's and enjoy the open trails. (Note: you can not ride on the shoreline path anywhere around Castle Rock Lake: You can drive out the driveway and get on the trails). Most of all relax and enjoy your family time making memories!

This house has a designated slip for boats. It is a short walk to Pier C that is pictured.

Nice Family Gathering Place

This property was clean, large enough for a family to gather in good weather and rainy. Beds were comfortable. Having the kayaks available was great.

Castle Rock lake stay

This house is very roomy and has plenty of beds and space for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked. I love that there is 3 full bathrooms. The house is clean and we appreciated having a boat slip and launch so close by.

Just the Stay we all Needed

Stayed at the property with 6 adults, 3 kids (ages 4, 1, & 1) and 3 small dogs, and had a very relaxing time. The layout of space on the first floor is very family friendly allowing for the grandparents to sleep away from the grandkids. The open concept is also very nice - we did not feel cramped at all. Having 2 bathrooms on the first level and 1 in the basement was convenient. (3) practically new, not tippy kayaks were available and load into the lake was very easy at the property. We brought our boat. Be sure to use the slip on pier C (to the RIGHT of the property) when facing the lake. The walk to the pier is very easy and the boat launch (5-10 minutes depending on pace) including a small beach was great for a short break with littles. Fishing on the lake is tough and there are many shallow points, so be sure to take a map or follow other boats when picking up speed. The proximity to Buckhorn State Park is amazing. 5 minutes to get to the beach, where the sand and water were very clear for swimming. Our favorite part was the quietness of the property. Surrounded by mature trees - it felt as if no one else was around. While the road is paved to enjoy long walks, it was fun to admire the area and other homes/cottages along the lake. We did have an "uninvited guest" while staying, but contacted the owner and appreciated the cleaner bringing over traps immediately. AAHHH cottage life. I also provided a few suggestions, including blackout or some type of drapes for some of the bedrooms, knowing the owner took over this property this year. He was very accepting of the recommendations and was very responsive to all my questions before arrival and while vacationing. We would definitely return!

Juneau County Property

There were plenty of bedrooms for everyone. with enough bunks for kids! The house was fairly secluded so the kids could make noise and not have to worry about being told to be quiet! Would definitely stay here again!

Snapper weekend

We couldn’t check in till late for the cleaning crew and folded the laundry we needed. Stuff happens. Had an unexpected snapping turtle visit and lay eggs throughout the property. Otherwise it’s always a great stay on our favorite lake.

Eddie was responsive to our needs.

The house was not ready when we arrived, we waited until 8pm before we could enter the house. Eddie did end up taking off a nights cost for the delay. He was responsive when the smoke detector in the utility room was beeping (door was locked so we couldn’t do anything), he sent over the cleaning lady to take care of it. The property was clean and secluded and fit our needs. I would stay here again. He also allowed us to bring both our dogs, which was wonderful.

Nice stay

Nice spacious house for 4 families. Yes, a lake front but not swimmable. Nearest beach was a 7 minute drive and was absolutely perfect.
