We understand how upsetting it can be to return after a long day and find that you’re unable to get back into your accommodations. We do want to clarify that we were happy to provide your early arrival complimentary, allowing you to check in approximately four hours before our standard 4:00 PM check-in time. Unfortunately, later that evening, the keypad experienced an unexpected issue. We immediately worked to get assistance to you, but the locksmith’s arrival took longer than anticipated. We understand that this was especially frustrating given the late hour, and we’re glad the building receptionist was ultimately able to provide access. We were at the property first thing the following morning to take care of the lock and make sure everything was working properly. We also provided a credit as an additional gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. We’re very sorry that this issue affected your impression of your stay. While unexpected maintenance issues can occasionally arise, we always want our guests to feel taken care of, and we regret that this situation left you feeling otherwise. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to address the problem and make amends.

First, I want to thank you for your feedback. While I wish, you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. While the keyless check-in process is described in our rental agreement, we have since taken steps to outline more verbiage as well as implement reminders for registration and parking so as to avoid any unnecessary confusion. We recognize that the elevator situation in Tidewater can be challenging, and have outlined an elevator guide with tips in our latest rental agreements to help remedy this for our guests. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it’s apparent in this case, that we fell short. We hope you give us a chance to earn back your trust.
