This is a special place. It is nestled in a very quiet, private area. There were howler monkeys in the trees in the backyard. The pool is beautiful and we loved starting and ending our days with a cool swim. The house is quite spacious and comfortable. There were 6 of us, and there was plenty of comfortable space for everyone. We cooked most of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen (grocery shopped in Tamarindo).We spent 2 weeks here, most of our days on the beach at Playa Marbella, about a 20 minute drive south. A beautiful, mellow beach with places to park in the shade. There's a great little bar/restaurant just off the beach (Tiki Hut). In under an hour to the north you have Tamarindo (busy and touristy ... but there is a fantastic local market every Saturday)....and to the south there is Nosara and Samara which are more mellow and charming.The staff at Amapola Vacation Rentals were quick to respond to messages. Good communication. Check in was easy.If you're looking for a quiet, private space surrounded by wildlife and tranquility ... yet easy access to beaches and surrounding amenities, this is the place.
