Amazing stay for mini vacation

We had such a great time in our stay in the home! My son who loves tech was fascinated by all the technology in the house and was entertained for hours! My youngest loved the bunkbed room. We loved the home and all the amenities and great location and ease of access. Would highly recommend and would stay again of given the opportunity!

Cowabungalow stay

Great stay at this little home. Everything was clean and slot of thoughtfulness put into aminities. I can see where parking can be an issue as it is street parking and anyone can park in front of the house leaving you to have to walk up or down the street. There is definitely not parking for 2 in front of the home so prepare for that. Otherwise, it was a great quiet stay within walking distance to the beach. Would recommend.

Terrible experience with access code

Your customer service is very poor totally disappointed. Maintenance service regarding the lock box to get access didn’t even work along with code box on entrance door. I was so blessed the owner called and came over to take care of situation.Your maintenance tech NEVER showed Up. Don’t think I will ever use Vacasa again

Memorial Day Cruise

Our family needed a place to stay 1 day ahead of our cruise. This was the perfect venue! It’s tiny, but mighty. Everything is decorated well and makes use of the space. Their is a twin and full sized bunk bed that my 6 and 3 year old loved. The shower is hot, and was perfect after walking from the beach. I loved that we could use the washer and dryer to clean our clothes before packing them again on our trip. It’s close to Pleasure Pier and the Strand, so there are fun food options 5 min drive. You can also walk to restaurants that are right by the beach. We aren’t stressed about getting to the embarkation port and parking 6 minutes drive.

Cutest little beach house

This home is so cute! I loved staying here and would again. It’s so close to the Seawall / beaches / restaurants. This home is fully stocked with everything you would ever need, so if you forget something they probably have it. Street is quiet and I felt safe here with my kids.

Just What We Needed

Just needed a quick getaway from Houston for the weekend and this was perfect! The house has EVERYTHING you can think of and only 3 blocks from the beach.

I liked that the bed was comfortable and was able to cook and wash. I hated that the other vacation house was parking in our parking spot on the street. There was another vacation houses next to ours. I had to see if they would move. Nothing was labeled outside who parking our trash cans because they would use both trash cans and fill them up. They have party outside past midnight. The master bathroom light needs to be fixed.

Book if you don't mind fleas, yes, FLEAS !!

I can tolerate a lot from a rental, but the condition of this tiny home made our stay uncomfortable. We would have booked elsewhere, but with all the events going on in Galveston, there was nothing available that was reasonable or in a safe area. One positive note, the home is tastefully decorated. However, the structure is suffering from poor maintenance and obvious flood damage. The worst part is that Vacasa (the management company) did nothing but reply with pacification texts to all the issues we informed them of during our stay without resolving a single one. Here are just a few of the more serious issues: 1). Fleas in the master bath, 2). Master bath light fixture was detached, hanging, and didn't work, 3). The home was not cleaned or restocked prior to our arrival nor after informing Vacasa. There were many more issues involving cleanliness, but I'm saving them for the extremely negative review I'll be posting with Vacasa. We will never rent another property associated with Vacasa and are quite disappointed that Vrbo’s vetting process isn’t more thorough. In the end, my family is still out for the cost of the rental and can only hope others take heed of this review.

Beach Walk Away with Fido

Perfect location to walk to the beach. We took a wagon for our chairs and snacks. Husband walked the dog on the beach each morning, and sometimes in the evening. It said room for two cars, but we only saw room for one. Would stay there again. Perfect price!

VRBO - VACASA is the worst

24/7 support is not true. You call, you're on hold. Eternal hold. No one will pick up. You use the VACASA chat, no one will respond. The rental rate charged was fine for x 3 nights. I feel gouged by VRBO - VACASA with: Additional Fees added on top: equal to the 3 nights costs in Service Fees from VRBO. Don't forget tax on the sum. Be aware of the expenses when you add in VRBO - VACASA fees. That total is due (charged to your CC) when booked, not when you stay. Nice house, great a/c, clean and would love to visit again, but with a poorly run and excessive fee property management.

Do not book with this company or house horrible costumer service I called the first day I got to the house it was so hot! It felt like 90 in there the guy that answer my call was rude and hardly wanted to help me he apparently told me someone was going to go check it out I stayed there for 2 nights no one ever showed up they don’t reply back but yet they want to take your money they charge hidden fees so be aware of that! So please do yourself a favor an stay away. Worst experience ever.

Perfect Beach Getaway

Great spot but management company needs improvement

The house was great for our needs. It sits 2 short blocks to Seawall and the beach and everything else in Galveston is a short 5-10 minute drive from this house. There were some unfortunate occurrences with our stay. We didn’t get a key to the place until after 4 hours past our check in time. We didn’t even know there was an issue until we called because the key wasn’t where it should have been. Also, there were roaches in the kitchen daily. Management needs to get a pest control company in there stat. Since the house was mainly a sleeping spot for my wife and I and our dogs we were fine. Overall a B+ that can easily be an A+ with some attention to some details.

Great Location

Great location, 3 blocks from the seawall on the east end. A short drive to downtown. Was nice having a second bathroom and no connected neighbors like you would have at a condo or hotel. Having a washer and dryer was awesome.
