Cute, clean, and communication was excellent! We enjoyed our family stay with our fur babies at this dog friendly bungalow. Water stayed hot for all of our showers in both bathrooms. Rooms stayed cool with ac. We did have an issue with one ac unit but the owner was very prompt in addressing the issue. The yard was a great outdoor gathering space, and the gas fire pit kept us warm. Beach accessories, like a wagon, towels, chairs and games were a plus! Walking distance to many great places and not far from many different beaches!

Family vacation

This was our first experience using a Verbo property. We were expecting a larger space with a larger kitchen and more storage. We lived a week out of our suitcases. The rental had plenty of backyard or beach supplies and sporting equipments, unfortunately many of them were broken. The yard area is a nice place for barbecuing and sitting around a fire pit. Also it was a secure place for dogs. The owners stayed out of our way as they live in the front house, but weren't home during most of our stay. There are plenty of good food in the neighborhood surrounding the property. We did have an overall positive experience.

Great location and house

Our family of 4 stayed here and it was perfect for our trip. Home was clean and had everything we needed. We really liked the look and feel of the place. Will definitely look at staying here again when we are in the area.

Family friendly rental that allows fur babies.

Always well cared for

This is the second time we’ve stayed with Emily at her Oceanside bungalow. The place is well appointed and comfortable. Emily is so responsive and easy to work with. Its always a joy to be in SoCal so close to the beach and our family.

A great time

This was a great place to stay! It was super centralized to everything we did. Emily was awesome and very friendly. There are beach chairs and an umbrella along with a wagon and so much more that is available to use. My daughter had a great first time at the beach!

What a gem

This is the cutest little home located in a great neighborhood. We walked daily down to the ocean, to coffee shops, and restaurants. The home was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. The host is so kind and communication was great! If you are planning a trip to Oceanside I highly recommend staying here!!

Fantastic bungalow

We had a wonderful time in this adorable bungalow. Two bathrooms was a huge plus, kitchen pretty well equipped, beds very comfortable. An easy 25-30 minute drive to La Jolla and just a bit further to downtown San Diego. Emily was very responsive. Just wish the weather had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the lovely yard! Easy walk to ocean views!

Cute bungalow with beach location

This property was cute, in a great location for our purposes, and a great value. My daughter , sister-in-law, niece and I went to San Marcos for my grandson's high school graduation. This property gave us a great base to attend from and also get in some beach time. Even tho it was on-street parking we were able to park our vehicles with no issues. Only problem we had was with the local restaurants closing at 8 pm!

Cutest patio

I loved their patio. The place was really clean and had a kitchen with decent number of plates and utensils. They were dog friendly as well, but no pets on furniture. The patio was a really nice thing to have for my dogs. Lots of things were walking distance as well. There's a great vegan restaurant and a grocery store with good smoothies within 5 minutes walking.

I recently booked this property for a family trip to Oceanside but, unfortunately, we did not end up staying. While the photos of the property look nice and it may be a suitable option for some, I would caution families with small children who are expecting close and easy beach access.The listing stated that the property was located three blocks from the beach, which was the primary reason we chose it. We arrived in Oceanside a few hours before check-in and decided to drive by the property and head to the beach with our children in the meantime. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find that the rental was actually located in the backyard of a larger main property and have to go through two gates to get to it—something that was not clearly communicated in the listing.Still willing to give it a try, we drove the three blocks down Cassidy Street, only to find that there was no actual beach—just steep, rocky cliffs and no accessible sand or shoreline. This was incredibly disappointing, especially for the kids, as our main reason for booking was to have easy walking access to a family-friendly beach.We attempted to cancel the booking through VRBO, but there was no option available. We contacted customer service, who placed us on a call with the owners. Unfortunately, they refused to issue a refund. One of the owners even remarked, “I can’t make sand appear,” which felt dismissive of our concern.In the end, we chose not to stay and lost over 1,200. I would have appreciated at l

Cute bungalow in quiet neighborhood

Our family of 5 stayed here over the Fourth of July. The neighborhood is quiet, and the bungalow was super clean, bright, and airy. Plenty of towels and extra toilet paper/paper towels/dish soap/trash bags. The two bedrooms are next to each other, which is convenient if you have young ones who get nervous at night. The yard IS PRIVATE. The bungalow sits at the back of the main house, which the owners occupy. There is a gate that separates the outdoor areas, and everything you see in the property photos is reserved for renters. Plenty of seating and room for our 2 midsize-large dogs to run and play. Coast Hwy is a block away with shops, restaurants, and other businesses, including two coffee shops a stone’s throw from the back yard. The only downside we experienced was the closest beach is tide contingent and never really gives enough space to set up and spend the day. Plenty of beaches within a short drive though. If you want to spread out with indoor/outdoor space, this property is a great choice. Would recommend!

Relaxing Christmas in Oceanside

Fantastic place to stay! Very convenient location in South Oceanside, close to restaurants, shops, and Carlsbad Village. While parking is street parking, we never had an issue finding a spot right in front of the property, and on the evening of our arrival, the hosts moved one of their personal vehicles to make it easier for us to unload. This was far better than some of the places we’ve rented in San Diego, where street parking can be aspirational. The intent of our trip was to spend Christmas on the beach with our dogs (FYSA, Oceanside does not allow dogs on the beach, which we knew in advance, but we made the easy drive to Cardiff State Beach every day, which allows leashed dogs, and is fantastic. There are off-leash dog beaches nearby, as well). The property is very dog-friendly (please be aware that you will need to be prepared to keep your pups off the furniture), and there is an enclosed yard for you to relax with your canine companions. The hosts also had a small decorated Christmas tree plugged in and waiting for us when we arrived, which was very sweet of them and much appreciated. This rental is a separate dwelling behind the property owner’s main house, but you are able to maintain your privacy. It’s a great place (with great hosts) that is fully provisioned, clean, and very cute. We look forward to return trips in the near future!

A Dog Family's Dream

Travelling with three dogs can be tough, especially when you want to stay somewhere nice. This house was perfect for our needs...clean, close to the ocean, dog-friendly/safe, quiet/private yard with comfortable furniture for enjoying the beautiful weather, plenty of room for grandma, too. Our week here last March was all the better for our gracious and responsive host, Emily. Would choose this vrbo again without hesitation!

Lovely stay for Thanksgiving

We were so pleased to have found such a perfect property to stay while visiting family for thanksgiving. Emily was so accommodating and greeted us cheerfully. We arrived late and she had lights turned on for us and made sure we had a convenient parking place for unpacking the car. The house was a perfect size for three adults and three dogs. The fenced yard was perfect with lots of places for sitting outside and eating. With a sunny California weekend, our holiday was memorable and so relaxing. Thank you Emily for a beautiful family holiday!

Home away from home

Property is very spacious, having the bunk beds helped keep our four kids together and having two bathrooms was also great. The bed in the master is a king-size, very comfortable with good quality bedding covers and pillows. We cooked a lot and found the pots and pans to be very good quality. Outside patio was beautiful as well, lots of space for the kids to run around and seating couches to lounge. We will be going here again!
