Enjoy modern amenities, efficiency and comfort with premium high speed Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, ultra comfortable Cal King bed, 100% plush cotton linens and towels, a sitting couch, workspace and a simple yet nicely equipped kitchenette with patio dining.
Just one mile from the gorgeous ocean cliffs, perfect for a nearby stroll at sunrise or sunset, where you can also take a 90 minute jungle hike to the best secret beach this side of the island. We are only 10 minutes to Panaewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens (an awesome FREE family fun zoo), 25 minutes to Volcano National Park (a must-visit) & Volcano Winery, and 20 minutes to Historic Hilo Town with waterfalls, beaches, museums, world-class Liliuokalani Park, Coconut Island, restaurants, shops, bicycle rentals and so much more. The spacious studio is best suited for a couple or single person as there is only one (very comfy Cal King ) bed for sleeping.

The host was very pleasant and accommodating. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. The room was private, clean and relaxing. Check in and check out was a breeze. It's in a very safe neighborhood. The ocean was just down the road. I will stay here again.

Restful and peaceful

We loved our stay. We just wished we were closer to the ocean. Lila was very helpful with good recommendations and the accommodations were just as listed.

Great Host!

Leila was a wonderful host for us, very accommodating and helpful, the bed was excellent and the big closet was really nice so we didn't have to look at our luggage all week.

Perfect stay

Love the quiet and clean room. Perfect set up with a mini fridge, coffee pot, and even instapot for a quick meal. Great location for any east side of the island exploration.

Comfortable, relaxing and peaceful

An incredibly comfortable bed, peaceful surroundings and lovely host made our stay the perfect vacation. The location was great and the perfect launching location for our daily wanderings. We were greeted with fresh fruit and flowers which made us feel welcomed.

The place was away from traffic and noise. We liked the live plants and flowers inside and outside. Some good reading material was available. The hostesses was friendly and helpful.

Loved our Stay

The room was beautiful and the decor made you feel right at home. Lila was gracious and brought over fresh fruit and gave us tips on where to go. We loved the location, it was a little distance from Hilo but away from the crowds which made it a quiet and quite romantic. Check in was easy, no hassle, her cat named True was always welcoming and so friendly when we arrived back for the day. Would definitely recommend this and hopefully we'll be back again next year. Perfect host.

Wonderful property! Very comfortable and Lila has a lot of amazing touches to make your stay extremely comfortable. Fridge with cold water, juices and condiments were a nice surprise. What really set it apart for us was the hand crafted soap in the shower, very nice upgraded hand soap for the bathroom sink and the aroma from the diffuser in the sleeping area was very pleasant when we first arrived. We constantly travel with a night light to move about our stays at night and this stay we didn't need it, as the diffuser had a night light. Small thing, but a nice touch. This unit has a lot of small touches that you will notice right away that make this rental stand out. I.e Bath salts for the soaker bath provided, what a nice “extra.” Stayed 4 days. Highly recommend!

The room and bath were exceptionally clean! The host had some very nice personal touches to make the place fun. We were given a plate of fruit unique to the area which was fun to eat. The host communicated very well and you can tell she puts a lot of effort into offering a great place to stay. This place works great for 1-2 people. However, the listing said it sleeps four guests. We had three in our party. My daughter who is quite petite (5'4, 115 lbs) slept on the red couch. It isn't a pull out bed. Its just a small sofa not designed to be a bed. It wasn't comfortable for her. I don't recommend this for more than 2 guests.

VRBO SUCKS

The listing of the property was in accurate. We contacted VRBO and got nothing but a run around. Initially the host was helpful, but in the very end, no one ever refunded any money and the Stay was just a waste of time. I will never use VRBO again. The communication is horrible and the customer service representatives are very rude. Overall I give this whole experience at the very best one star and that’s being generous.

From the gentle temperate weather, warm cleansing rains and rainbows to the wild jungles, respectable lava flows and ocean adventures. From the comforting family friendly vibes to the fabulously abundant tropical fruits, veggies and homegrown foods that surround us, I feel incredibly blessed to call this place home. I feel fortunate to have raised my darling strong children into mindful contributing young adults with Hawaii as their backdrop, learning space and playground. In addition, I have built a career doing what I love, teaching yoga, providing advanced holistic skin and body care and serving others. I never tire of exploring this place and never run out of things to do, places to go or reasons to just "be". Welcome to our sacred aina (land).
