SWEEPING OCEAN VIEWS, HEAR THE SURF, 1 MINUTE WALK TO MADAKET BEACH

Welcome to "Spindrift", our 5 Bedroom 2 Bath Nantucket home. Ideally situated approx. 150 feet from the beach, our home is virtually waterfront and less than a minute's walk to Madaket Beach, one of Nantucket's best beaches. We have great ocean views, and the sound of the surf will lull you to sleep at night. The sunsets are spectacular in Madaket as is the star gazing. Fishing is superb and water sports, endless. Our home is comfortable for up to 10 people and is perfectly located on a large lot, and well set back from the road. The bike path, Millie's restaurant, the Shuttle to town, and a small general store are close at hand. You'll find our home to be the quintessential beach house: well-supplied, comfortable, with updated baths and a Bosch-applianced kitchen. There are lots of extras because this is our home, not a stripped-down rental. Enjoy the sweeping water views from our large downstairs deck or from the upstairs balcony. You'll love being so close to the beach. Our location translates to conveniences for you: a sand-free lunch? ice? restock the cooler? forget something?...it's all right there. Come, bring your family, and enjoy Spindrift!

Fantastic Property Great Owner

We spent a week at this property. It was even better on site than the description. A great property run by the owners who were as responsive and supportive as possible. The property offers all the wonderful benefits of Nantucket town with the tremendous experience to being right on the ocean beach. Having the sea breeze throughout the house and sleeping to the sound of the waves just cannot be beat. A truly wonderful combination of everything one travels to the Island for.

Heaven on Earth!

We just returned home after a glorious week long stay at Spindrift. I cannot rave about this vacation enough. From the get go Ed and Patty were superb hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure the home was ready for our family, even including personalized details to really make us feel welcome and comfortable. They are so knowledgeable about all things Nantucket and were able to offer lots of wonderful recommendations for our family while we are on the beautiful island. Their home is extremely clean, comfortable, spacious and well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your vacation! They truly have thought of everything! The beds are incredibly comfortable... so, along with the exquisite views, ocean breeze and relaxing sound of the surf....we had the best sleep of our lives! The home is located steps from Madaket beach, with the most stunning sunsets that we were so blessed to enjoy every night. Millies Market and restaurant are also right next door, which made it very convenient for quick take out lunch or dinner to enjoy on the huge deck at the house (and also for our kids to run and get an ice cream cone every chance they could get!!). We absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much Ed and Patty for sharing your piece of heaven with us, and for your warm hospitality. Staying at Spindrift was the highlight of our summer and we made so many wonderful memories. We cannot wait to return!!!

Wonderful home, amazing location, perfect hosts

We stayed at the Spin Drift for a week, and the weather was sunny and warm each day. The location could not have been better - sandwiched between Millie's next door and Madaket Beach on the other side, a frisbee throw to the beach. There is nothing like staying beach-side - if you forgot a beach towel or chair or a drink, just walk the 1 minute back to the house and then return. Everything in the home was exactly as described, but the one disappointment was the lack of air conditioning which was necessary due to the humidity and heat domes of August. The entire NE region has been overloaded with hot and humid days that near record temps, and even the ocean breezes were unable to overcome all of that heat. Yet, the owners could not have been more supportive and kind. They were extremely helpful and kind, and the world would be a better place if there were more people like Ed and Patty around.
