Escape to Your Private Oasis on Lake Huron! 10 minutes north of Oscoda, a beautiful 30 minute drive to Alpena!

Discover the perfect getaway at Sailors Delight, the perfect 3-bedroom home on a private beach along the beautiful shores of Lake Huron. With breathtaking sunrise views and serene surroundings, this is the ideal retreat for families looking to unwind and create lasting memories. Gather in the fully equipped kitchen, perfect for family meals and memories.

Three comfortable bedrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests, a large family room, dining area, and siting room facing the beach. An elevated deck gets your feet out of the sand for a few steps, and a small deck off the upper master bedroom is great for morning coffee or nighttime stargazing. An additional cottage is available for up to six more family members (with separate kitchen, bath, and laundry.)

Step outside to your expansive private beach, stroll along the shore, or relax with a good book. Enjoy evening bonfires under a starlit sky and watch the morning sun paint the horizon.

Huge game room with board games and a TV for movie and game nights. Beach toys and sports equipment for outdoor fun and a backyard perfect for cornhole, jarts, or other family activities

Garage game room with poker table, air hockey, dart board, giant connect four game, foosball, PS-4 and games, and tons of board games! Floating water pad, standup board, and kids sand toys all waiting for you. High speed wifi, windows PC, printer, and small workstation (if you must.)

Annual Up North Friend's Trip

Great Lake Huron getaway! The house has everything needed for a terrific vacation. Setting was peaceful, enjoyable and tons of fun. Kolby was very accommodating and responsive. This rental is first-rate and very highly recommended!

Our host, Kolby, was excellent and answered every question that we had during the week. He responded within 10 minutes after being contacted.His house is well maintained and has all the amenities our family needed for our stay. The house was clean and spacious for all 8 of us.

Great place to spend a week

Property is well maintained, clean, and comfortable and Kolby is responsive and helpful. Lots of activities for the kids supplied and hard to beat a beach in the backyard.

Great stay

We had a great stay! The lake is literally right outside with a long beach to walk each day. The house was clean and had any kitchen gadget you could think of! Communication was easy and very timely. I would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation

We all enjoyed our stay. Kids loved playing at the soft sand beach. Didn’t have the greatest weather during our stay but that never left us bored! Silverware was a bit rusty but overall the lake house is a gem and a great family vacation spot

Absolutely beautiful

The beach is absolutely gorgeous and right out the back door - the kids loved all the beach toys, cooking smores over the fire pit, and watching movies on the big screen. What a great trip!

Nice Beach House!

Our family had a great time visiting Michigan for the first time. Location was good, the house was well equipped and the beach was amazing! We even enjoyed the game room in the evenings. Thank you Kolby for letting our family stay at your your amazing property! We would love to come back sometime.

Excellent Getaway

Kolby was an excellent host - he was very responsive and answered all our questions. The location can’t be beat. We spent most of our week long vacation just hanging on the beach enjoying the views and the water. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Will stay again!

Summer Vacation 2024

We really enjoyed our stay. This is the second time staying at this property. The beach is so nice and sandy. The kids (ages 5 and 8) had a great time playing in the lake. Kolby has so many fun beach toys and floats available and lots of games in the game room in case it rains. We hope to come back soon.

Perfect Beach Vacation

We have been spending summers in Oscoda for years and have stayed at many rentals. This one has been one of our favorites. The beach was amazing. The house was very spacious and all of the provided beach toys/floats were amazing. We did not want to leave! The host went above and beyond and even made a place available for my brother to stay. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect Family Getaway!

Our family had a wonderful experience staying at this rental. The home was spacious and clean, had a beautiful view of Lake Huron, and the beach is sandy and private. The kids enjoyed the beach toys, kayaks, game room, and inside toys to play with. We also found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, bake, etc. Grocery stores, parks, and getting ice cream are a close drive away. The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Our family plans on returning next year!

Cozy, relaxing vacation on the lake!

We had a wonderful time at Kolby’s place! Overall, the house was clean and well maintained and very cozy. Kolby was an excellent communicator and quick to answer any questions and offer info. Beds comfortable. Didn’t love the well water for dishes and showers, but that was a minor issue. We drank bottled water. The beach was the best part of the vacation. So quiet and relaxing. We would definitely come back! Thanks for sharing your home with us, Kolby!!

GREAT VACATION

The perfect beach vacation without the hassle of booking a flight! Nice white sand, beautiful sun rises, clear water and the perfect place to stay. Great place to disconnect and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Working with Kolby was a pleasure. Responded right away to my requests. You can tell he takes pride in his property. Consider booking a pontoon via sunnybuns. That was a lot of fun! A great time was had by all!

Enjoyment for the whole family!

We vacationed with our family from France. They are very sportive, so they enjoyed the kayak and paddle board. Things were so relaxing there…the evenings cool and the fireplace was so nice in the evening. The fireworks at the shore added a nice touch!! The cottage is great and has so many nice features and amenities. Kolby was in communication asking if we had any particular needs, he certainly put a lot of thought into making it very comfortable for all age groups. We really enjoyed it all!!

Short but sweet

Came up here for a short vacation and to relax. Did not disappoint. Was pretty easy to find and enter the house. The house itself is very roomy and well done. Definitely made us feel at home and had everything we needed. Especially having a pack and play already out (we accidentally broke ours on the way here). It was just a great time and will be coming to this house again.

Best Vacation Ever!!!

We had a glorious time in this lovely home in a spectacular location. We could walk for miles on the beach, and we were lucky to have still and wavy days so we could swim and body surf. We were just minutes away from the grocery store, and that's one of the only outings we made because we were having so much fun on the property! The deck was beautiful, the fire pit was great with enough chairs for everyone, the deep, wide beach was beautiful and even had three perfectly place beautiful trees that provided shade. My grandnephews visited and had a blast with all of the lake toys and the amazingly equipped game room on a rainy day. We could not have asked for a more perfect place. The host was wonderful- very responsive and helpful. We hope hope hope we can stay here again!!!

110% Worth It!

I booked this stay as a surprise "end of the school year/early birthday" trip for the kids (6 & 4 years old), and a "take a load off, you deserve it" trip for the wife and I (ages a little more than them, though still like to think we're kids). All I can say is the views and beach access at this place (literally walk off the deck into the sand) would be worth the trip alone if it the home were a shack, and it certainly isn't! I made the booking at the time based only on the before renovation pictures, and the owner (Kolby) sure has done an impressive job turning it into a modern, welcoming beach house with every amenity you need and none you don't. Plenty of room, open concept, comfy beds/bedrooms, and a living room with working gas fireplace (visual and heat producing) and 75" flat screen worthy of any movie night with family and friends

Great Beachside Getaway

We (2 couples) visited end of October for a salmon charter fishing trip on the Au Sable River. Kolby is an excellent host, who communicates promptly and candidly, and was extremely helpful in helping to make our stay just what we wanted. Ours was a cozy getaway in a fall weekend. We particularly enjoyed the warm gas fireplace and the firepit (supplied with ample wood) just off the deck on the sand. The house would also be a also great location for a family summer getaway. The deck empties onto the pristine white sand beach and you can walk a considerable distance either way on the shoreline. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms and the overall house were clean and well-kept, with a large common area table (seats up to 10). The garage game room is an extra bonus, and the garage was well stocked with summer fun toys, including kayaks and a paddle board and a flat swim mat for the water. The location is great and quiet, about half way between Oscoda and Greenbush. We had a wonderful dinner on Saturday at the Alcona Brew Pub in Greenbush, which has surprisingly good beer and a great menu, particularly for our vegan family member. We would gladly return any time of year.

Great place

Enjoyed the setting, away from the highway and fronting the lake. Long strolls along the beach, clear water w/ sand bottom. Enjoyed a full, brilliant, double rainbow, horizon to horizon; a rare experience. The unit is stocked w/toys/games directed toward families w/children, there was some colorful, plastic dinnerware to allow children to use. Living spaces, bedrooms/bathrooms/living rooms were very accommodating and directed toward the lake. Suggestions: A little interior maintenance: Some of the baseboard heating covers could use some paint / the kitchen overhead light needs several dead bugs removed / the window blinds need cleaning. The quality of the water for human consumption was disappointing; we ended up buying a lot of bottle water. The sliding screen door to the outside on the main level needs to be repaired/replaced; we slid it back once and left it open. The blinds at the upper bedroom w/the outside deck were not operating; jammed and off the track; took me a while to fix it. The screen on that door operated beautifully. All in all.......great experience / great location

Can't Wait to Come Back

This property has it all, location, sandy beach, clean and thoughtfully renovated cottage well stocked with all the essentials plus some, and nice bedrooms with comfy beds. Easy to access and still enjoy privacy because it's far enough off the highway to not hear all the noise. We appreciated all the extras like beach towels, snacks, TV with one easy to use remote, wireless internet, good selection of spices in the kitchen, bottles of cold water in fridge, paper products in kitchen and bathrooms. Game room was a hit too. Kolby has done this right and this is the best Lake Huron rental we have experienced, our new favorite! Thank you for a perfect vacation!

I have been vacationing on the Oscoda/Greenbush area since I was a kid., and own two nearby cottages. As soon as this beautiful home became available, I knew it would be a hit with families who want to be away for a week and have their own sugar sand beach and the beauty of Lake Huron from their windows. The home is all new in 2022, including furniture, bedding, and the little things. It has been a labor of love, and I look forward to seeing families enjoy it while they enjoy time with each other.
