Tucked away on the quiet west end of Holden Beach, Sandy Unicorn is a beautifully stocked 3BR/2BA townhouse just a 2–3 minute stroll to the beach. Sip your morning coffee on the front porch while listening to the ocean, or unwind on the private, gated back decks overlooking a serene natural area along the Intracoastal Waterway.

With no hotels or high-rises, Holden Beach offers a calm, family-friendly atmosphere—perfect for slowing down and truly relaxing. The home’s west-side location puts you just minutes from the bridge for easy arrivals and departures, while still feeling tucked away from the bustle.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for an effortless stay. The home is thoughtfully stocked with beach wagon, chairs, toys, fishing poles, and more—so you can pack light and enjoy more time by the water. Two bedrooms feature king beds, while the third is perfect for kids or groups with two bunk beds (twin/twin and twin/full).

Enjoy four gated porches (great for littles or fur babies), a firepit for evening gatherings, and a garage game area with ping-pong and darts—plenty of space for both fun and relaxation.

Perfect getaway

Short walk to beach access point. House was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and equipment. Nice to have access to beach chairs and shade to save on packing. Bonus: a wagon to take supplies back and forth!

Great week at the beach

Property was great, especially because of the beach supplies the owner offered. Helped us cut down on packing and we enjoyed riding bikes to get ice cream / coffee. Our first time staying 4th row at Holden beach and going through vrbo and it was good.

Good Family Beach

Very nice property. Close to the beach. A lot of other amenities. Unfortunately we simply did not have time to enjoy them all. Would definitely go back.

Perfect Beach Getaway

We had an amazing stay here! It’s just a short walk to the beach, it is a safe area to walk/bike freely with kids, stores & playground are close by; this house is suitable for a family or friends getaway. It’s so beautiful & quiet. The balconies and backyard of this property provide more than enough areas to gather outside. The kitchen has the equipment to cook & eat-in daily. We cannot wait to book another visit! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a safe & beautiful place to vacation.

Awesome property and location!

Bright, spacious, and immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Super kid friendly with lots of beach toys, chairs, wagon, Shibumi shade, etc. Short walk to the beach and even peekaboo views of the ocean from some of the balconies. Giant Adirondack chair in the backyard a plus for pictures!

We explored more than 12+ different beaches in NC & SC while searching for the right place for our family, and the moment we arrived at Holden Beach, we knew it was special. There was an immediate sense of calm, space, and authenticity that we didn’t feel anywhere else.

Unlike crowded resort towns, Holden Beach has no high-rises or hotels — just a peaceful, family-friendly coastal community where the pace slows and nature takes center stage.

The west end stood out to us for its rare combination of convenience and privacy. You’re just minutes from the bridge, restaurants, and local events, yet the home backs up to a protected natural area with no rear neighbors — offering a calm, private atmosphere that’s hard to find at the beach.

Being able to hear the ocean, and truly relax without the noise and crowds is what ultimately made Holden Beach the perfect place for our family — and the reason we’re excited to share it with our guests.
