New to VRBO - This modern three-bedroom, two bath beach house is a hidden gem nestled on the westside of the highway and within minutes of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Croatan Sound to the west. Centrally located in Kill Devil Hills NC, it has everything a family could ask for such as relaxing on the beach or walking or riding bikes on the multi-use trails that connect Kitty Hawk to the north and Nags Head to the south. Some of the must see attractions while staying on the Barrier Islands include the Wild Mustang Horses, Historic Lighthouses, Parasailing, Charter Fishing, Putt-putt golf, Golf courses, Jockeys Ridge State Park, Wright Brothers National Monument, Roanoke Island's Lost Colony outdoor theater, NC Aquarium, and the Elizabeth II.

Host Is very communicative and the house was great. Garage was a huge plus for the property. Quiet neighborhood, excellent stay.

First time OBX vacation

We could not have selected a better location than the Hidden Hideaway to stay at for our first OBX family vacation. It was very clean and had all the amenities we required and then some. Additionally, Lisa was outstanding to work with and checked in with us via message during the week as well as offered up ideas of things to do and places to eat. We 100% recommend the Hidden Hideaway!

Beautiful house in Kill Devil Hills

The house was inviting. Well decorated. Very relaxing place to stay. Appliances where easy to use. The location was excellent. Beaches where close. There was a biking/walking path in development.

Thank your for your review. The bike path is easy to get to and one direction leads you to the Wright Brothers National Monument. The other direction leads you to sound side side where you can enjoy the sunsets.

Quiet Beach House

Hidden Hideaway is the perfect beach house for a smaller group or family. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Located in a quiet neighborhood with no thru traffic. Close to the grocery store and a quick drive to the beach. We felt like it was our home away from home. We would love to return for our OBX trips!

Relaxing stay for small families/small group!

My family and I had an amazing stay here! The location is perfect, within minutes to the beach and the Wright Bros. Memorial. The house was very clean, spacious, and cozy. Sometimes when I stay at rentals, the appliances don’t work, but this was not the case! Several times I reached out to the hosts about things and they were highly responsive. We would love to come back when we visit again!

Close to everything.

Beautiful home located next to the wright bros. monument. Within a mile of everything we wanted to do. The home is very clean and there is room enough for the whole family. Quick and instant communication. I would recommend if you want to feel the relaxation of home, while on vacation.

Travis, Thank you so much for the 5-star review. For sure, we are centrally located to lots of activities and restaurants. The Wright Brothers Monument is one of our favorite places to enjoy a morning walk or an evening walk. Climbing to the top for a sunrise or sunset is always a colorful and beautiful sight. Literally one can have a full view of the ocean and sound. We take great pride in knowing that our home is clean and guest can have a quiet place to stay while on vacation. A beautiful cottage in a quiet cul-de-sac. Great place to retreat to after a day in the sun. Had everything we needed and plenty of space for 6 people. That said, definitely a hike to the beach so book with intent on driving.

OBX Getaway

We've been coming to the OBX for~ 30 years and consider it our home away from home. We've stayed ocean front, sound front, Manteo and up and down the coast. The location of your home and the value for the price was excellent! We loved being away from the bustle of 158 yet close enough to reach the beach and stores in just minutes. It was a working trip for my wife and the access to WiFi and a comfortable place to work without disruption was great. We'll defintely consider staying again.

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful house

Lovely house in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean and beautifully decorated. All rooms are on one level except for an upstairs playroom/extra bedroom. It’s not on the beach, but beach access is so easy and quick that it didn’t matter at all. Easy to get anywhere in OBX. Very relaxing! Highly recommended!

My husband says the name should be Serenity!!!

Perfect communication with the owner in this thoughtfully appointed home! The house is lovely and equipped with everything i can imagine we'd need! It's also super clean which is greatly appreciated. My husband especially enjoyed the back yard facing woodlands, and enjoyed the quiet relaxing vibes there. With the location being out of the tourist craziness of the beach - and close to the sound (but not in the path of bike riders, scooters, etc) it was PERFECT for us! We would love to stay there again and highly recommend it for other small family groups!

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We also love our small neighborhood and feel that we are a short distance to attractions, restaurants and if you are active you have the access to two major bike paths north and south. All of which will lead you to a beach access. If you have children or a lot of items, we do recommend you drive and park. The quiet neighborhood is great and relaxing and we even see some deer on occasion. Please stay with us again and thank you for the kind review. Our spot does allow many comforts so you can enjoy your stay without all the vacation noise and travel from other tourist.
