Our cottage is the perfect get away for couples or a small family of four. Island Surf Cottage is unique in its space, architecture and outside privacy with mature trees and many palms!

The front porch is a perfect place to relax with a cool drink and a good book or take a siesta! The outside shower is a big hit with all our guests.

Beaches are within minutes walking distance to Porpoise Point and the main beach of Vilano. No driving required!

Restaurants and Publix are also within walking distance.

Park your car and enjoy your stay at our cottage!

The location is perfect if you want to spend time at Porpoise Point. Also easy to uber to historic downtown St Augustine. Charming cottage, nice renovated bathroom. The listing indicates 2 queen beds but one room had 2 twins, not a problem for us as we were only one couple traveling, but should be updated. The queen bed was not very comfortable, very firm. All else as shown, very close to Publix and highly recommend Michaels for a nice dinner, excellent service and food. Overall a recommend.

Great Location

This was a perfect place to stay during our week in St. Augustine. Quiet local beaches, abundance of restaurants to choose from, and the beach vibe the house had to offer. Would definitely stay here again!

This place was within walking distance of the beautiful beach!! We loved everything about this place! The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable, everything was clean and just as described!

Cozy cottage

Our second stay was just as wonderful as the first! We love the beach within walking distance, saw lots of dolphins. And downtown just a short drive. Great location for just relaxing or seeing the sites. Caps on the water is a great place for dinner. We enjoy everything about Vilano. Cottage has everything you need.

Convenient, Clean Cottage Close to Beach

Positives & Negatives: We enjoyed our stay in this cute, clean cottage. Great patio/porch and yard. Lots of towels. The ice maker is out of service and we had to buy ice. No TV's in bedrooms. Internet/TV goes in and out frequently. We loved driving around the corner to park on the beach. Overall a fun stay!

My Island Cottage Review

First off, the house itself is gorgeous, the neighborhood, landscape all quiet beachy, totally awesome! Now, they forget to tell you cell phone reception and coverage is horrible in this particular neighborhood/cottage. You literally have to stand in ONE spot on the upper deck to make a phone call. Now, if the cottage had wifi service(which advertised as did) wouldn't be an issue. Check in was Friday at 4 the rental company closes at 5, better hope there isn't a issue, because the 9-5 people in the office, didn't give a crap that we had issues, they played phone tag with us till 5pm, guess what happens, office closes(they could care less) now the after hours people did there best, with no resolve. So Friday night we had no cable TV, or wifi, or phone service (pretty much off the grid) and to top it off the A/C quit working in the middle of the night. We wake up Saturday morning to 84° in the house. It was noon on Saturday before we got A/C working and at least Cable TV, never got internet. Other than that very quiet relaxing atmosphere, 5 min walk to the beach, or 10 min drive to downtown St. Augustine. Maybe the Property Managers should spend a lot more time, managing the properties, instead of collecting money and half assing things (my opinion)

We are glad you enjoyed this awesome house! Thank you for the kind words about the house. We hate that you left an undeserved 2-star rating. Due to lightning storms prior to your arrival, we were having internet problems in the area and at the house. We did speak to you at the office and told you that if no internet for the night was a problem, we would move you to another property, we just needed to know before 5 pm. You never called us back. We therefore scheduled maintenance for the next morning. You then called the afterhours line, hours later, manned by an office member, and they assisted you further. We are sorry about the AC problem, but it was fixed within hours. We are always very responsive to our guests and took care of your issues quickly. If we did not do our job managing our properties, and do it well, you would have never had AC or internet during your stay. We also do not feel that using a vulgarity in this review is appropriate. The cottage is a great place to vacation and we are sorry for your unhappiness.

My teenage daughter and I booked this house while visiting family in the area. The house was quite charming and perfect for us and the location was perfect. It’s an easy 3-5 minute walk to a well-stocked grocery store and an equally easy walk to the beach. The historic center of St. Augustine is a few miles away and easy get to as well. The next time I’m in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this property again.
