Enjoy this amazing waterfront home in one of the best locations on the lake. Three bedroom (1King, 2 Queen), two (renovated) full baths. Home is centrally located to Bridgewater Plaza (less than 1 mile). Prime location to restaurants, grocery stores, boat rentals, shopping, and entertainment. You may also just want to relax and enjoy the many amenities “Dockside Daze” has to offer including a large dock perfectly situated to enjoy sunset views, Tiki bar, multiple outdoor grilling stations, flagstone patio firepit and dining area, plus large upper covered porch. Tie-ups available for boat owners/renters plus multiple jet ski floating ramps for your use (jet skis and boats not included but available for rent at many local marinas). House includes kayaks, paddleboat, paddleboard, floats, bocce ball, corn hole, ladder ball, badminton, pickle ball, and more. High speed internet with upgraded cable package and Samsung Smart TVs in all bedrooms. Well-appointed kitchen including Keurig pod/coffee pot combination with additional full-size fridge in Tiki bar. High quality bed linens included as well as lake and bath towels. A washer and dryer are available for guest use.

Both the home and the surrounding property were perfect for our winter getaway. We made s’mores in the fire pit, and the kids loved walking along the dock and shoreline, looking at the water. Inside was VERY clean, cozy and welcoming. We enjoyed the fireplace, closet full of games and cozy blankets for watching Christmas movies. They had it completely decorated inside and out for Christmas, which was an unexpected surprise! We are looking at booking the property again for a potential summer visit!

This house was absolutely amazing. Has everything you could ever think that you would need. From a fully stocked kitchen to cozy blankets for the inside, cozy blankets for the outside. The dock and cabana were awesome. We rented a boat and voted around the lake right before Thanksgiving. The hose were absolutely amazing. Answered all of our questions. Response was quick. We did have questions. I would totally recommend anyone to stay at their place. We plan to go back in the summertime when the weather is warmer and we can spend more time in the water.

Lovely home, great for families. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to Bridgwater Marina (restaurants, mini golf, shops and arcade) as well as the state park. We visited during the off season and still had plenty to do. We also enjoyed hanging out and fishing off the dock. This house has all the outdoor amenities you could want.

We are repeat SML visitors and love the area. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us. Beds were more than comfortable, kitchen well stocked and my husband loved the reclining leather sofas. Views, views, views, Heather and Ken have more than maximize the outdoor space. Pet friendly as well. We will definitely rent again.

This was our second stay at Dockside Daze, and once again, it was a fantastic week! The house is beautiful and filled with thoughtful amenities that make it feel like home. The yard is spacious—perfect for lawn games and relaxing outdoors. We especially loved the dock and tiki bar area, which is beautifully set up and offers a perfect spot to take in the stunning sunsets each evening. The location is great too—close to plenty of stores, restaurants, and everything you might need.

This property is top notch. The owners provided everything. This truly was an excellent place to be lazy and enjoy the dock and views. Upon arrival it was evident the owners put a lot of attention to detail the house outside and inside was so clean and decorated beautifully. The dock was perfect for our boat and they offered an array of kayaks paddle boats and other water floats ( we used those every day). Absolutely the best experience … so good we booked same week next year!

Perfect lake house! Very clean and comfortable. Has everything you need for a week at the lake. The yard is amazing and such a beautiful dock! The water toys were such a treat and kept us all busy on the water. Really a nice cove for swimming and kayaking. So close to grocery stores and to boat rentals! Really a perfect location! Hope to visit again :)

A little slice of paradise

This place is amazing! Everything is provided (and I mean everything). We loved our weekend here. Very relaxing and extremely comfortable. The view is wonderful - peaceful. The hosts are on top of everything and easily accessible if needed. I highly recommend this property.

Thanksgiving getaway

This incredibly well stocked, well thought out, well appointed, gorgeous gem of a home was perfect for our small family Thanksgiving. Any kitchen item you might need - there are several to choose from, including the host bringing over a turkey roasting pan so I didn’t have to bring mine. The beds, super comfy with lovely linens included. The property very well taken care off with so many amenities! Could not recommend more/a real treasure in a picture perfect location.

Dockside Daze

My family enjoyed our stay! The backyard, deck and dock area is fantastic. The tiki bar is a nice addition. We enjoyed the stand up paddle board, kayaks and paddle boat. We rented a boat and were able to tie up to the floating dock with no problem. I am sure during the summer months it is even more fun to spend hours outdoors there with the provided steps directly to the lake. The house was clean and well maintained. The owners were extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Very nice lake vacation house!

The property is very nice, well maintained and set up nice for guest. Very nice location, perfect boat docking setup and well maintain docks. I took a 24' bay boat, dock was perfect for a boat that size. Of the few houses I have rented at Smith Mountain Lake for a few days fishing at other houses in the past, Dockside Daze will now be my go-to for Smith Mountain Lake trips.

Fall vacation

It was a wonderful vacation. The kayaks and paddle board were very convenient. The outside living area was so comfortable and nice with a a beautiful view of the lake. We would definitely stay again.

There are only so many premium located properties at SML. We fell in love with Dockside Daze due to its great central location and amazing dock views. The gradual incline and short distance to the dock, Tiki bar, grilling and firepit area makes for easy entertainment and convenience. It's so close to everything from restaurants, churches, grocery and liquor stores, shopping, pet vets, several wineries, breweries/distilleries, and everything else.
