Welcome to Paden's Place! This 2nd-row villa with INCREDIBLE views, in sought-after Singing Sands subdivision, is just steps to the beach! Relax on one of the two spacious decks while enjoying breath taking beach views of the Gulf of Mexico. The newly-remodeled interior offers an open concept with plenty of space and seating to enjoy the company of your friends and family. Enjoy DirecTV or watch a DVD on the 65in TV in the living room. A convenient half bathroom is on the first level. Sleeping accommodations include a primary bedroom and ensuite bathroom with walk in shower! Relax in the King bed, sleeper sofa, TV, DVD player and with direct patio access! The second and third bedrooms offer a shared restroom with a double vanity and tub/shower combo. The outside activities are endless. BBQ on the grill. Take a short walk to the beach and collect sea shells sun tan or just enjoy your relaxing getaway by putting a drink in your hand and your feet in the sand. The surf fishing is excellent and Rollover Pass boat launches and the Stingaree Marina are just a couple miles down the road. Bring back your catch because we have a fish cleaning station. (No seafood stored in the house!) After playing at the beach, enjoy the outdoor shower - natural and liberating! The "Big Store" on the is only a couple miles down the road along with locally-owned restaurants offering everything from Mexican food to pizza to BBQ to fresh caught seafood! Paden's Place is a smoke/vape free house. 10 people maximum. Dog friendly (max of 2 - $125 fee) No cats allowed

The place was perfect living room was big furniture was great, there was plenty of room for all of us. There were no complaints out of anyone on their rooms are beds. We had a problem with wifi not their fault, when we contacted them they sent someone out right away. You can't go wrong on this one, we really enjoyed our stay. A big thank you

Absolutely wonderful stay at Padens Place! We loved how close we were to the beach and the pool was perfect to unwind at the end of each day! Master bed was so comfy and we loved the walk in shower. AC was excellent and the large table was perfect for our family meals. Thank you for giving my family a great weekend and a beautiful property to stay in.

Great location

Location is perfect! The photos definitely make the house look better than in actuality. Several maintenance issues and the master bed mattress was not comfortable.

We had a pleasant visit.

My family and I visited Galveston for my son’s birthday. The boys had a great time. Well everyone did. This house has plenty space for the 6 of us. Nice neighborhood, quiet, comfortable beds. My mom and dad enjoyed sitting and drinking their coffee on the deck looking at the sea early in the mornings we stayed. The house has everything you need. I was very happy to find a fan in my closet. I need a fan to help me sleet better (besides the ceiling fan). Everything went great. Thank you so much for letting us stayed at your place.

Beautiful Location

The location and the views from this property really sells it for us. Being a steps away from the beach made it easy for our 3 kids and my 69 year old dad. And the ocean view was beautiful! House was decently clean. They provided a few toiletries to get you started. You will need to bring your own beach chairs and sand toys.

Great place

Loved the location between the pool and beach access. Made it nice not to have to log everything to the beach when the house was so close. The couple times I called with questions, they were answered promptly. We were able to extend our checkout a few hours which was so helpful with 4 kids! We will absolutely be rebooking!

No pool access.

Property was fine. Floor is a little dirty, even on day one. Wore shoes inside the remainder of the trip. Listing says it has a community pool but there is no access for renters. Not a bad place, good location.

Great Location

The location of the cabin is perfect! It is steps from the beach and close to The Big Store. Even on the weekend the section of beach in front of the property was uncrowded and family friendly. The electricity went out late at night and the property manager responded quickly. I was very pleased with my stay.

Paden’s place

PROS: It is a short walk to the beach as listed and well stocked with kitchen, fans, and toiletries. CONS: The cleaners were still there when we got there at 4 pm (they were wrapping up but my kids were ready to get out of the car asap and we had to take what was still finishing up in the dryer out later). The floors did not appear visibly dirty but shortly after walking around barefoot our feet were dirty so I wore shoes the rest of the time. In the bathroom between the 2 bedrooms the stopper in the bath tub did not work and the shower was leaking. No access to the neighborhood pool (the property manager did reach out before our stay it was no longer accessible to renters, but still a bummer as it still was when I booked).

Unprofessional and Dishonest Host

Nice house-close to the beach. Time with my family was wonderful. We made the very best of our trip. HOWEVER - When we reserved this property in December it was called “Paden’s Place, Gulfview with pool access, steps to the sand.” However, upon arrival we found out that pool access was no longer an amenity. They stopped that in March - months after I reserved and in plenty of time to let me know so I could make other plans. The host was rude, unhelpful and flippant about this huge discrepancy. I was told that the fact that they no longer offered pool access was perfectly justified since “amenities are subject to change without notice.” And the fact that the pool was still mentioned in their listing was a “clerical error.” VRBO offered us a full refund if we left the very first night and checked into a hotel, because they agreed that there was blatant dishonesty about this reservation, but displacing my young children late at night after a long roadtrip to get here was not worth it. Not to mention the 6 days worth of groceries for 8 people that we’d somehow have to salvage. And finally, yes I was given a paltry amount for this “confusion.” About 5% of what we spent. But let me be clear - there was no confusion on my part. My original reservation still says “pool access.” It was not a misunderstanding either. Important information was withheld about our reservation while our payments were deposited. It was shady. I would warn renters to look elsewhere.

Our Stay at Payden’s Place

We had a fabulous weekend stay at Payden’s Place. It’s spacious living room with a large family dining table was the perfect hangout spot for my family to spend time together. The Master Bedroom with a second deck with a beautiful view of the water was a great morning coffee spot away from the mosquitos. We happen to book this house on Jeep Weekend (coincidentally) and we felt safe and distanced from the crazy crowd, which was very important to us. Jessica was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We look forward to returning on the next family trip!

I must say there were some minor issues with maintance and cleaning at the place but I still give this a 5 stars due to the quick response and handling of the host and their team. They were so responsive and that was greatly appreciated! So yeah! I would definitely come back. Thanks for having us!

Peaceful, Clean, Beautiful View, Close to the Beach

Though figuring out how to access the door lock initially with the instructions given wasn't simple, we appreciate the quick help on the phone getting us in, and we were more than pleased at the beautiful interior! Kitchen, living room, fridge, coffee pot, TV, all in wonderful working order, very spacious, the bedrooms quite nice, shower worked wonderfully well, but the best were the two porches! We had a bit of a gale wind one day, so didn't stay out long then to enjoy, but the view of the ocean from porches and main bedroom were terrific! The short walk to the beach over the 'gorse' of overgrowth was also nice, the bridge quite sturdy, and we sat and enjoyed lots of bird life and waves, got quite peaceful. We came down to enjoy the Audubon Rookery on High Island, but also loved the time we spent on the beach close by! We hopefully left all things in the condition we found them, and appreciate the share of the house... Thanks!

Beautiful property on the beach!

We had such a great time at this amazing little house. It was perfect for families of any age and I loved that where weren’t breakables all over like prior homes we’ve stayed in. It was very clean and had all the essentials needed. Absolutely beautiful view of the beach that was only a short walk away. Porch was amazing to sit on during the evening to hear the ocean waves crashing. We will try to stay at this home for our next trip if available. Thanks for a great weekend!

Perfect getaway steps from the beach!

We went on a couple’s beach trip for the weekend and this house was perfect! We had more than enough space- even for the dogs! The kitchen was very stocked for a rental and being so close to the beach was a huge plus! We will definitely stay again

Perfect Location

Crystal Beach is a hidden gem. We enjoyed the small town feel. Visit Stingarees for a delicious Stingarita & delicious meal overlooking the water. The Big Store has anything you could possibly need. Reading a golf cart on the beach was enjoyed by all. Pace’s Place is perfectly located; steps to the beach; super quiet subdivision & steps to a large shared pool & lounge area. Key for pool gates is on key rack next to door. You will need in order to gain entry. The home is adequate for families and a small pet. The downstairs outdoor shower came in handy after spending time on the beach & in the waves. The double decks are perfect perches to enjoy the breeze all day. If you have more than 3-4 in your group, bring extra chairs. Upon arriving with anxious kiddos, we were delayed entry due to the cleaning ladies being there. We patiently waited 30 minutes, and were disappointed at the lack of their cleaning skills. (Floors were filthy; shower hadn’t been cleaned as there were large clumps of hair inside; bath tub was full of hair shavings; bed linens were questionable.) We experienced issues with the bath tub upstairs. The stopper didn’t work & the shower head leaked profusely. Upon being notified, an appointment with a plumber was scheduled for the next day. The A/C unit froze up our last night there. So we loaded up very early the next morning and headed home. We notified the rental personnel. Overall, the location outshines the issues we experienced. I’m confident all has been taken care!

Great quiet location

We really enjoyed the location of this property. It really was just a few feet from the beach in one direction and the neighborhood pool in the other direction. The neighborhood was quiet. The sleeping arrangements were great for our family. The view of the beach and ocean was fantastic from the decks. If you like to sit on the decks and watch the ocean in a group you will need to bring some chairs in order to accommodate your group. The house is away from the crowds at Crystal Beach but an easy drive if that is what you are looking for. Highly recommended this property for any family looking for a relaxing vacation.
