This guest seemed determined to be displeased no matter how much we tried to support their stay. Upon discovering that the pool was hot, we confirmed with our pool maintenance team that everything was in order - they even sent us photos to verify that the heater was off. Still, they came out the very next day to attend to the issue, and were surprised to see the heaters on, which they promptly fixed. Since this was the case, we offered the guest a courtesy gift card for this inconvenience, which they rejected. We then heard no other requests or complaints throughout the next several days - despite the guest initially saying they will leave the very next day because of the hot pool, which we understood, and we guess after fixing this issue, they decided to stay. We asked if there was anything else we could do for them (virtually every day of their stay), and received no response to this. Then, upon leaving, we hear that they had other complaints. We offered them a courtesy extra night at no charge - they refused this, again. We see that they did in fact enjoy all the extras and amenities we offer - such as the charcoal grill we stock and provide for all guests, the lavender epsom salts that we provide for the master bath, and the fully stocked kitchen with many appliances and amenities. The organic toothpaste we provide guests in case they forget their own, was also opened and utilized. Great! This is why we give this, along with sunscreen, bug spray, and other helpful items for all our people. This guest seemed determined to be displeased, and then threatened us with a bad review unless we refunded HALF (!!) of their money. After the two courtesy offers that they refused to accept. We do not bend to threats of bad reviews that want us to refund 50% of payment after the stay was fully had and all extras were utilized, plus no questions or concerns voiced during the stay beyond what we immediately attended to. So, as you can see, the review is as it is. We wish this guest all the best, and that said, would not welcome them back to our home. Note to future guests: The pool spa has been fixed. There may be occasionally found one or two ants in the bedroom, if the door to the pool/lanai is left open and they may come inside. There is no bug issue with this, we have verified. The bathrooms and showers are scoured and cleaned thoroughly prior to every guest, and there was a small darkened speck present in one corner, which has now been sealed. As a small business that deeply cares about the wellbeing and happiness of our guests, we go the extra mile to make sure that everything is deeply clean, well stocked with organic and healthy options for your stay, and that you are supported in having the best vacation ever when you come to stay with us. There are some guests, however, that are simply determined to have a bad vacation. And to those, we cannot do anything but wish them well.

Thank you for your feedback - we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that certain amenities did not meet your expectations. We’d like to clarify a few points and provide additional context for future guests. Regarding the bicycles, the flat tire issue was brought to our attention after 4 days into your 7 days stay. At that point, it was unfortunately not possible to source or repair additional bikes in time, as local rental and retail options were unavailable on short notice. The home did have 2 bicycles available for 2 people in your party. Had we been notified earlier, we would have had a much better chance of resolving this promptly. As for the grill, there is a charcoal grill installed poolside in the backyard for guest use. In addition, there are 2 more grills stored in the garage (one charcoal and one gas), which are also available and can be easily moved as needed. In terms of the pool temperature, while the system is set to maintain a baseline temperature, during the particularly hot weather that week, the pool temperature naturally rose well above 83°F - reaching approximately 90°F daily due to the Florida heat. We did offer a goodwill gesture in the form of a $100 gift card, as we always aim to provide excellent service and resolve concerns as best as possible during a guest’s stay. We will continue working to ensure our listing accurately reflects all amenities and that future guests have the best possible experience
