Family vacation

The house is wonderful! Everybody really enjoyed it! This is the third place we have stayed at the last three years and everybody said this was the best so far! Just a few minor things happened, but nothing to stop us from coming back again!

Best stay

Crown Jewel of South Padre was awesome!!! Johnny the house host was excellent. He wrote and respond everyday to make sure we where comfortable and everything was fine. The house is as beautiful as the pictures are. Overall the best vacation home I have ever stayed in. Make sure to book Crown Jewel of South Padre..

RUN FROM THIS PROPERTY CANCEL RESERVATIONS

The air conditioning was controlled externally by the owners of the property which was never represented to us or in our contract. They would raise the temperature into the upper 70s every Night at 11:45 and again at 11am. We were sweating every night and we were unable to do anything about it despite our attempts to have those controls removed through the property manager and 2 technicians. Filters had not been replaced in years according to tech. One said they need 2 new AC units and Thermostats were locked with a code. Next the dryer wouldn't work properly because of a bird's nest which had to be removed from vent. 4 feet long. Try drying 3 items at a time for 13 people each nigh until repaired Dishwasher broke and was not repaired or replaced while we were there. Dishes for 13 people everynight pool full of sand and dirty 4 days to get it cleaned Stickers in backyard grass and no lock for gate to protect kids Ants on food in pantry. Kitchen furniture shedding material coverd the floor 4 Toilet seats broken or unattached Sliding doors rusted almost impossible to open Elevator unusable because of threats of fines of 800-1600 if something happened. Told only 1 person at a time , no luggage, no coolers, etc allowed in elevator. We had to carry all of our items up the stairs everyday. We requested a refund of 50% because of the issues and misrepresentation of controls on AC and elevator they offered 500 dollars after paying 15k for our stay. Beware Beware CANCEL !

Great place

Place was immaculate. The view of the beach was spectacular and was a 30 second walk from the property. Great place and would definitely stay there again.
