The Space:
Location, location, location! Flamingo Casita, built in 1925, is located in the most desired historical district in West Palm Beach…Flamingo Park. You can walk or bike ride to restaurants, museums, parks, City Place, and local retail shops. The beautiful island of Palm Beach and its pristine beaches are just a couple of miles away.
During your stay you will feel like you’re living in a secret garden. Joel is a Horticulturist and has cultivated a collection of tropical and rare palms/plants since 1992. Orchids cascade from trees and palms as tall as their home create a canopy encompassing layers of vegetation, most of which you’ve never seen before. Nestled in a lush tropical garden, the Casita is an enchanting 1 bedroom/1 bathroom Mediterranean style cottage featuring a full-size kitchen, a private patio, and access to a gorgeous palm tree lined free-form pool. For a refreshing outdoor shower, don’t miss the Coral Cabana, hand built of coral rock, barnacles, seashells, and yes more plants.
The owners manage the Casita and live in the main house on the property with their friendly outdoor dogs, Coco and Chip. As a result, pets of any kind are not permitted on this rental property. Additionally, guests are required to be a minimum of 21 years of age.
If you have your own car or a rental car, there is complimentary street parking available directly in front of the home and throughout the neighborhood on a first-come, first-served basis.

The famous island of Palm Beach with its pristine beaches and other popular points of interest (such as Worth Avenue, Flagler Museum, The Breakers Hotel) are 5 - 10 minutes driving distance. The cottage is also a quick walk to Howard Park and restaurants such as Table 26, Grato and Bedner’s Farmer’s Market as well as Grandview Public Market.

This was the perfect stay! The casita, home, and property are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! The host and host pups are even better We loved our time here and spent most of it working and relaxing by the pool. The property is so gorgeous and unique! You can tell they truly love their home It is in a prime location!

I had a lovely stay! The neighborhood was safe and I rode my bike all around. Restaurants and groceries were easy to get, Benders was a convenient fresh food market close by. The property was beautiful and the little casita was perfect for 1-2 people.

A Private Tropical Oasis – Even Better Than Expected!
Our stay at this property was absolutely incredible! It felt like a private tropical oasis—so peaceful and beautifully designed that we hardly even needed to leave. But when we did, the location was perfect for exploring multiple stunning beaches, making our trip even more special.The home itself was even better than described - in a super safe neighborhood, immaculately clean, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The owner was also wonderful, providing local recommendations that we enjoyed to the fullest.This place truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the Palm Beach escape!

A beautiful spot in West Palm Beach
We stayed 3 weeks in this great cottage in West Palm Beach. The grounds are just spectacular and we loved sitting in our patio in the back surrounded by palm trees and other tropical plants, as well as using the wonderful outdoor bathroom/shower that was completely private and also surrounded by palm trees. Incredibly friendly and fun hosts and super friendly dogs who loved to greet us every day. We could walk to restaurants, grocery stores, museums and downtown W. Palm Beach but we also had a car so could easily drive to other surrounding towns to check out their beaches. We highly recommend this rental and hope to go back some day!

The grounds are beautiful and truly feel like a hideaway. The gardens are lush and full of butterflies, and there is a lovely greenhouse on the property (although guests are not permitted inside). The pool area was pleasant and clearly maintained as well as possible given the foliage and natural setting. The owners also have two friendly dogs, Chip and Coco. They do bark, but were approachable and sweet. It’s important to note that children under 12 are normally not allowed; however, our young daughter was permitted due to a miscommunication between the rental company and the owners. As listed, the space is shared with the owners and their sons, so it is not a completely private rental.The bungalow itself is charming and quaint but showing its age. It would benefit from some updates, minor repairs, and a deeper cleaning. The bed felt quite worn, with a mattress topper added for comfort. Windows are older single-pane units—some cracked or drafty—and a few would not stay open. Doors required effort to close due to sagging, and some locks were misaligned. The gas stovetop worked well, but the oven would not turn on. The kitchen exhaust fan was loud, and the refrigerator had a small leak that dampened some of our food items. There was also a noticeable mildew smell inside, so we ran the provided dehumidifier.At checkout it was pouring rain, and we were asked to leave in any case as another guest was arriving that day. This made departure feel rushed, and we got soaked.

Hi There, we find your review disappointing on several points. The listing clearly states that children under 12 are not allowed and you ignored that anyway, but the hostess approved the child last minute to be polite. The mattress is 1 year old and if you were unable to figure out how to use the gas stove, you could have asked the hosts...it works fine (we double checked after your departure). The refrigerator was leaking because you didn't close the freezer all the way. What's especially disappointing is that you have not recognized in your review that that the hostess went out of her way to accommodate you, including allowing you to bring your entire family onto the property for a photo shoot (which she normally gets at least $ 200 for) and allowed you to stay longer than 10:00am, which led to you getting soaked.

Not What We Expected
We spent 5 days here in March 2025.• The grounds are beautifully landscaped.• Owners live onsite & constantly available.• Adorable Pit Bull & Australian Shepard do a great job of patrolling the property 24/7.• We walked 0.5 miles to Publix and laundromat at Belvedere & Georgia Ave and encountered panhandlers and a check-cashing store.We rented based on original listing that included dishwasher, washer & dryer, off-street parking. Owner changed the listing during our stay. Wish she would have let us park in the second driveway for the tiny guest house

We're sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, although your review doesn't really highlight any deficiencies. The listing never included dish washer and the washer/dryer was listed as on request in the description. The off street parking is for regular sized cars, but your huge SUV didn't fit under the tree. On street parking is free an most guests just park there. The listing is very accurate otherwise, so not sure what the 2 star rating is for. The unit is one of the most popular in the area.

Astounding place to stay. The owners/main house is on the property but they give you 100% privacy & Elizabeth is so helpful with recommendations. The location is perfect - easy access to SO many beaches/night life. We walked or ubered (cheap) everywhere. The house has everything you need - kitchen, bath, living room with TV (wi-fi & apps included), & (very) comfortable bed! They do have dogs but I promise they’re angels & you’ll love them, I wanted to steal Coco. I have no complaints with my stay & WILL be coming back. So appreciative they share their own piece of heaven on earth w us<3.

This property is magical!
We were surprised by how beautiful the little house and property was in person. The outdoor shower and bathroom was perfect. The pool and yard area is also beautifully detailed and landscaped. Very artistic. My friend and I had an amazing time and did not want to leave. Elizabeth was even more amazing. Thank you so much for having us and for being so hospitable and kind, giving us everything we needed to be comfortable and more! She really went above and beyond. What a caring host and beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed our first time visiting West Palm Beach. Will certainly recommend.
