Sunset Kahili is a 5th floor vacation rental property located in the beautiful Poipu Beach area of Kauai, Hawaii. The property was specifically designed to capture the breathtaking sunsets over the ocean, providing guests with a truly unforgettable experience.

The condo is located in close proximity to some of the most popular beaches in the area, including Brennecke's Beach and Poipu Beach. These beaches are known for their pristine white sand and crystal-clear waters, making them the perfect place for swimming, snorkeling, and surfing.

The condo itself is tastefully decorated and well-appointed, with all the amenities guests need to feel right at home. The property features a spacious living area, a portable a/c in the bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and a private lanai with stunning ocean views. Guests can also take advantage of the on-site swimming pool, barbecue area, and other recreational facilities. The living room sliders open to the fragrant ocean breezes while enjoying paradise.

Of course, the highlight of the property is the breathtaking sunset views over the ocean that can be enjoyed from the comfort of the private lanai. There's no better way to end a day in paradise than with a glass of wine and the vibrant colors of the sky as the sun dips below the horizon.

If you're looking to cool off, there is an a/c in the unit, and an on-site swimming pool is the perfect spot to relax and soak up some sun. For those who prefer to stay active, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the area with snorkeling and surfing equipment available for rent nearby.

This unit was described as 5 star amazing condo with AC. In reality it was totally the opposite. I would rate this condo a 2 star and I would I’m being nice. The AC absolutely did not accommodate to beat the weather. We had bugs in the bathroom. We found a (sewing needle) in our comforter . Yes you heard right! That’s when I call the property manager. Her response to me was ( I can see where that can happen ) . I was applaud with her response. But I knew my misery what not her concern . Even though she did ask me ( what can she do for me ). Maybe a refund for advertising a stay that is clearly not a 5 star with AC. Oh did I forget to mention the vent to the dryer goes directly to the bathroom wall behind the door . Yes it blows HOT air . When Kauai temperature is 80 and above with humidity. We all come to visit from all parts of the world. The last thing people want experience is false information.

Honeymoon in Kauai

My wife and I were on our Honeymoon. It was our firat time visiting Kauai and we had a great time. This VRBO offered us a great location in Poipu. Its walking distance to Poipu beach where we spent a lot of time snorkeling and enjoying the weather. There were great views of the beach and sunset from the balcony. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was great for my wife and I. We even had an issue with our flights coming home and the property manager was quick to help us arrange an additional night to stay. We recommend this VRBO and would stay here again. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Great wind down to Tax Season

Beautiful view and great location

We had a wonderful time and it was the perfect location. The check in process and communication was great as well. An added bonus was access to the health club to work out and enjoy the beautiful pool - all within walking distance. The only thing that kept us from giving 5 stars was some basic supplies were not stocked for us (washing machine soap, paper towels, body lotion). If you're looking for a clean and no frills place to stay with an amazing view and location, this is it. We had a great time!

Beautiful View but tired property--and misrepresented

When we first arrived, we found laundry still in the washing machine. We put the laundry in the dryer and noticed that the dryer was vented into the bathroom making it hot and humid, even though the windows were all open fully. The temperature likely reached 90 degrees. We found a large fan and positioned it to push more air out the window.The bathroom was dirty and moldy. Venting into a bathroom encourages mold, and it’s a code violation. See photos of dirt/mold, venting, fan.We noticed that the sliding door did not lock. The welcome letter cautioned us to be sure to lock doors and windows when we left. I wrote to the manager, who wrote that was only for units on the ground floor, which was puzzling.The VRBO listing utilizes a visual which indicates that there is a gym on the premises. It also makes it seem that why you need to purchase the 25 a day gym membership is to use the pool, which is not true. When the listing has a gym logo, any user would take it that the gym was on the premises, not that it’s a ten-minute drive away, over a mile away. When I tried getting our 25 charge removed, the manager said simply that it was not refundable. We urge VRBO to investigate these misleading visuals and text. The entire property is very tired. The curtain valances are broken—the small wires holding them up are rusted away. The windows are not easy to open and close. The terrace furniture cushions were torn and frayed. See photos.

Perfect Location - Unit needed work

We have stayed at Sunset Kahlili several times, at various units. It is a wonderful location. The unit we rented was a great location, as always. However, the unit was not clean based on our expectations and the cleanliness of other units we have stayed in. Also, the rugs were old and appeared unclean, the towels were limited and in need of replacement. Improvement in cleanliness and some replacement of old fixtures will make this unit as nice a rental as the others in Sunset Kahlili.

Great location in Paradise

Everything was as described including the spectacular view. We loved just sitting on the lanai enjoying the ocean view. Whale spotting was a highlight. Close to beaches and great trails along the coast.

Quiet Comfort to Enjoy Warm Lanai Mornings, Sounds of Surf, Sunsets…

Best for a couple…or a couple of best friends who easily navigate a single bathroom (2 doors); a comfortable hide-away sofa/bed with two fans; and sliding panels to separate bedroom area which has an air-conditioning unit. We did have a rental car, as we were exploring the island this trip, and really appreciated it, as there are no neighborhood grocery stores and limited dining options in walking distance. Great beach chairs and well-stocked beach towels appreciated!

Amazing views and great location!

My husband and I stayed at this property last week, and it was perfect for us! The sunset view from the balcony is amazing! It’s a quick walk down to the beach where the sea turtles came up onto the beach every evening. We explored the entire island, and this was a great location for our home base. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and having a washer and dryer was very helpful. The pool was clean and perfect when we needed to break from the beach. It was a very quiet complex, we did not hear any noises from neighbors. The living room furniture seemed brand new and looks very nice in the room. The bed was really comfortable as well. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Kauai in the future!

Billed as advertised

Clean, accommodating, cozy, captivating view. Kitchen was well supplied for cooking just about anything. Lanai as a tad overcrowded other outdoor furniture, took some rearranging for comfort, but not a big deal. Wonderful stay oils use again!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation rental was in a great location! The rental is not as portrayed in the pictures. The furniture is worn and dated. The orange chairs felt sticky and and had a slight distasteful odor. The cushions on the lanai were falling apart. All of the windows and louvers were moldy and dirty.The kitchen was clean and well stocked but the dishwasher smelled old. The refrigerator was clean. Overall for the price, I would rate it a three.
