End unit with many shutters/windows to enjoy the ocean breezes in a beautiful garden setting Newly installed AC included also Two minute walk through nice grassy garden to the exclusive Kiahuna Plantation beach complete with a Beach Hut offering all the amenities - free towels & chairs, plus rental snorkel and boogie/surf boards. Large grass area for enjoying the views just above the sandy beach or cooking up dinner in the common BBQ's.
Access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club offering a bar/restaurant, pool with kiddie sand beach and slide, a complete fitness center including tennis and pickleball - free use & clinics/lessons also available.
Afterwards you can stop at Little Fish on the walk back to the condo for a coffee, pastry or Acaii bowl. Pay laundry also available onsite. just across the driveway

The resort’s location and amenities were very nice. Close to the beach and dining choices. The athletic club with pool, hot tub and dining are across the street, a shot walk.

Everything was great at this unit! 3 min walk fromThe front door to the sand. Well equipped kitchen and beach supplies. Spacious lanai with a nice view of the grounds/garden. The property is very quiet and well maintained.

Absolutely wonderful!

The unit was well located and reasonably close to the beach. We loved the lanai suspended at ground level with trees and plants in front, creating a sense of privacy and shade! This was an end unit so we had the benefit of cross-breezes front-to-back and at the side. We were close to the laundromat, and the registration office, so that was handy. Parking was easy and nearby. Overall a very private unit. We had a great time on the Plantation and in Kauai!

Fun with family

My parents stayed in the bedroom with the king bed and I had the couch. We had a great time being close to the beach but also using the beautiful pool and fitness center. (.4 mile walk up a hill or a very short drive). My sisters family was in the building next door and it was easy to connect.

Poipu Oasis

We spent 5 nights in Poipu , after starting our trip with 7 nights in Princeville. This unit provided a great location. The beach was a 2 minute walk through the resort property. Shopping and restaurants were less than a 5 minute drive. It is very convenient access to the west and south sides of the island. The unit gave us the space, kitchen, lanai and bedroom we desired.

Great unit in Kiahuna

This is our fifth time staying at Kiahuna, always in a different unit, and we liked this one so much! Quick walk to the beach for sunset or to the pool. My kids were especially excited to use the boogie boards from the closet! We’d come back here for sure!

Rough start but nice place

Overall, it was good. But getting in was stressful. Kiahuna office personnel gave us misinformation and the owner had not answered my email. For a while, I wasn't sure we could gain access- no key. Luckily we found the Castle office, in which the employee found the reservation and quickly gave us the key. Phew, what a relief. The dishwasher was out of service but I appreciate that the owner gave us a heads-up just before our trip.

I want to notify Castle I thought I replied quickly and the confirmation includes a map with the Castle office I am sorry it stressed you out and of course the dishwasher replacement arrived just after your stay Hope you will come again

Love Kiahuna Plantation but not this section

The condo had everything we needed and was as expected. We love staying at Kiahuna plantation. You can’t beat the easy access to beaches, shops, and restaurants within walking distance and we loooove the awesome outdoor gym at the athletic center! I will say though, I would not stay in this section again. The appeal of these condos is having the windows open and enjoying the sounds of nature. This condo is right next to the employee maintenance area so we got woken up by 6am everyday by carts revving by, skidsteers, and large vehicles backing up/beeping. It’s a very busy section. Luckily we are early birds so not a huge deal but don’t expect to sleep in if you stay in this area!

Glad you have a great time despite the service truck garden vehicle noise. The garden/service trucks are not usually there every morning especially at six. I will notify the office and ask for an update.. We enjoy the chorus of birds and of course the roosters and have found that closing the windows does keep the unit quieter. Sorry for the disruption.

Nicely furnished

The unit is well equipped and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed. Although the patio is at ground level, it feels very private due to the bushes in front. The patio faces northwest which has its pros and cons. Being across the street from Little Fish coffee is great as well as within easy walking distance to the shopping center with several restaurants. The main disadvantage is its proximity to the area across the street where the club cars for landscaping and maintenance are stored. Also because the plantation grounds are so beautifully lush and spacious, it necessitates regular mowing, leaf blowing and hedge trimming. It’s not a particularly quiet location, mainly in the morning. There is no traffic noise, though. Because of erosion, the beach is quite narrow. It is best to go to other nearby beaches.

Thanks for the 5 star review. We are addressing the maintenance noise issue with the HOA as it seems to have increased. The birds and the roosters are noisy too but that is part of the charm. In addition the size of the beach is on the long and narrow side but does fluctuate based on tides and seasonal weather. Glad you had a good time.Mahalo

Decline in upkeep/updated of property and unit

I have been going here for about 20 years, yet I haven't been back in about 10. The property itself doesn't look much different than it did 20 year ago. One of the steps to beach were broken and dangerous, the other was blocked off and closed. The water rinse didn't work for the first few days. The unit itself was very dated, and honestly the worst of all the units my family & friends occupied. I did not have family come over as it was embarrassing to show what we paid for vs what they paid for. Couch was awful to sit on, with mismatched chair, comforter on bed was not the pretty one you see in the picture but rather this old heavy thick heavy comforter. I had one roll of TP and was told at the counter it would be $15 for more, same goes for towels if we wanted fresh ones, $15. Soap - $15. Toilet was wobbly and loose. The dishwasher and fridge were gross and the limited supply of kitchenware was kind of a joke. Knowing what the units cost, and what the rent for it would be nice if the owners put a little of the rental back into the unit and that KP had some requirements for uniform upkeep/updates of units. Never-the-less, I enjoyed the time I spent away from the unit with family, and viewed my stay as just a very overpriced places to close my eyes. Respectfully submitted.

Anna, I am very sorry you were disappointed with Kiahuna. and our condo I cannot change the condition of the common areas but will certainly address your comments on the condition of our condo. The condo should be furnished as in the pictures and include tp and towels. Our condo has a prime location but does have some older furniture which we plan to update . Our pricing reflects the fact that the unit is not remodeled with the newest appliances and furniture. Kiahuna is really a no frills resort but we find it comfortable and clean at a very good price and location. Sorry we did not meet your expectations.

We have a few other private properties we mange and enjoy working to share with others at a great cost. We also know many of the other owners if you need referrals.

Great end unit on bottom floor in small building with only 5 other condos. Great location-close to laundry, fitness center and beach but has a great garden setting. We have celebrated 25 Thanksgiving here as a family tradition and bought this unit years ago so we could come more than once a year.

Full access to fitness center with: pool, large gym, pickleball, tennis and restaurant. Great for all ages with many activities nearby.
