Well appointed and perfect location

The apartment was perfectly located in one of the best beaches in the area. A lot of thought was put into equipping the condo, including lots of items for enjoying the beach. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Our stay at White Sands Village was amazing. The location was ideal for our planned activities. The view of the ocean from the porch was amazing. And the cleanliness of the condo exceeded expectations. Our kids enjoyed the pool and jumping the waves right across the street. We are already dreaming of our return to Kona and staying in the exact same condo if we can.

Beautiful views - relaxing

Clean, well kept. Great layout with open concept. We loved the lanai overlooking the ocean and bonus: great whale watching and sunsets. Good location with Kona a couple of miles away and a restaurant down a block on the ocean side. Beach side with lifeguard station mostly volcanic rock with a sand volleyball court people used to place beach chairs. Complex had a small pool and hot tub. Great experience.

You’ll never get sick of the views!

Highly recommend this condo. It was extremely clean and tidy (well done cleaner) and better than the pictures on the site. I was prepared to compromise comfort for view, but I needn’t have worried. I could have both. Kitchen was fully equipped and so nice to have some condiments. A pity we had to leave so soon, would’ve liked to have stayed longer. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Perfect Location and Extremely Comfortable

Loved this property and our stay. The condo was completely comfortable, with great beds and a well stocked kitchen. The porch wrapped around the whole condo so you got a view of the grassy lawn as well as the ocean. The beach across from the condo was our favorite on the island. James and Tori were such great hosts. There was plenty of beach equipment (snorkeling gear, water, shoes, boogie boards, pool, noodles, beach chairs) And the pool and hot tub were lovely. There is also a great little sauna in the clubhouse with a pool table! It’s a beautiful well-maintained property. If I come back to the big island, I will again stay at White Sands with Tori and James!

Hawaii vacation

We loved our stay at the Oceanfront Luxury Condo Closest to the beach. I was worried it would be a bit loud given that it is right on Ali'i drive, but when the widows were closed it wasn't a problem and the road was actually pretty quite at night. The condo was well stocked and had everything that you could want for a Hawaiian vacation. We loved packing up the coolers and grabbing a boogie board or the snorkels and heading to a beach. The beach across the street had quite big surf in March still, so only beach play for our family, but we still loved having it right across from us. We enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets every night from the spacious lanai. Can't wait to go back!

Best VRBO ever

This was probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect in Kona right across the street from the beach with a view of the waves from the lanai. It was very clean and stocked with absolutely everything we needed. All the kitchen and bathroom basics were there, but also beach gear such as chairs, cooler, boogie boards, and snorkeling gear. It was so great to have all of that at our fingertips as we headed out to explore the island. My only suggestion would be to add a beach umbrella as there is no shade at any of the beaches. Having the ability to do laundry was great, as well as the central air. The wraparound lanai was amazing and there were plenty of comfy chairs for lounging and looking at the view.

Wonderful condo

White Sands is a terrific property. The lanai overlooking the beach made for excellent people watching and listening to the surf. We saw a turtle swimming in the surf every morning. The condo had so many beach accessories that guests could use, including an umbrella that worked. Coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, even some water shoes in assorted sizes. In our experience with beach properties, this is an unprecedented and extremely welcome amenity. Like most beaches on the big island, the beach at the condo is rocky (at least the time of year we visited, I understand it’s all sand in the summer months), and the waves are rough, but our teen kids loved it (and so did we adults). A delightful bar and grill is steps away with tables on the water. The location makes a great central homebase for exploring both the south and the north of the west side of the island, and Volcanoes National Park is about a 2 hour drive. We also appreciated the hosts’ willingness to give us a late check out so that we could enjoy a full last day before our redeye flight home. The only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer.

Home on a very public beach!

The condo was very clean. It has a great view! The association has a great pool. The patio is very nice. The association enforces its rules. It is great for the price. The condo needs some updating even though everything works well, it is very tired. The master bed is very uncomfortable and needs replacing. The WiFi stopped working at the end and we only stayed there 4 nights. The restaurants are a car ride away and the noice from the beach and the road is very loud. To be very honest the noice stops at around 10 pm. The beach is very small and congested. IT is all very nice I am thankful for the condo but I want to be honest to a future renter. We all had a very nice time. My husband noticed a smell from the corner of the sofa that we were not able to resolve. I think it is mildew but I am not sure there is anything that can be done about that.

Beautiful condo with a beautiful view

This condo has light colors throughout the living and kitchen area with light flooding in from slider doors covering most of two sides of the living / dining area walls.The expansive covered lanai surrounds the living area and primary bedroom with the front facing ocean view across the street or landscaping to the side. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and the entire condo was very clean. The air conditioning served the entire condo. The owner responded to my question on wifi within minutes. The description points out this unit isn’t ADA equipped so not for those needing higher toilets or grab bars. The primary bath shower is low entry and large and the steep stairs by the unit can be avoided by using the elevator and outdoor carpeted walkway but does involve 10 steps with sturdy hand rails. The entire condo buildings and grounds are very well maintained with the pool area surrounded by lush landscaping, The location provides easy access to the main highway and the Keauhou Shopping Center with a KTA grocery store and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would stay again!

Amazing location and property, a little dated

We loved our stay here. It's right across the street from the Magic Sands Beach, which is among the best beaches for body surfing and boogie boarding in all of Hawaii. It's convenient to both points north and south. The street and beach can both be a little noisy; we didn't mind it during the day, but we closed the sliding doors when we went to bed. The properly is on the first floor and very private; since it's in the front of the building there is no foot traffic past the door or the second bedroom. The property was extremely clean, and very, very well stocked. We had all the cooking supplies we need (bring your own food though!) along with anything we might need to take to the beach, including chairs and boogie boards. There was snorkeling equipment but we rented our own for fit. Plenty of towels. The Lanai is nearly the full length of two walls, wrapping around the living room with access to the master bedroom. The beds were comfortable. Laundry in the master bathroom, and a dishwasher. Our only complaint was that the appliances and some of the furniture were a bit dated; both he laundry and dishwasher were older and pretty loud. The couch was pretty uncomfortable. These were very, very minor annoyances, and well worth it for the amazing location.

Loved the condo, great location right across from the best beach on the island. Kids loved it too, lots of free movies for nighttime and kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a nice dinner. We will be back for sure!

Amazing spot!

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing spot! I looked at so many different VRBO listings and this one stuck out because of the beach across the street and the huge lanai. Well the other reviews were spot on - sitting on the lanai and watching the turtles swim in the beautiful water across the street was a highlight of our trip. The location is very central to everything in Kona and the layout of the apartment is great. We were two adults and two teens so it was the perfect amount of space for us. The kitchen is well appointed and everything was just great. I would not hesitate to stay here again and really hope we get the chance to!

Great property and location

This was a terrific property that was directly across the street from the beach. We loved being able to watch the sunset from our Lanai each evening. The condo was extremely well stocked with whatever beach equipment and kitchen stuff you could possibly want. And we GREATLY appreciated the host's flexibility with being willing to provide late checkout. Made for a much more relaxing day with our late flight out.

Spacious family friendly condo

This place was perfect for our family of 4. The large living area and huge lanai made it feel extremely spacious. The beach across had waves that were a little too but for our 4 year old but the host was awesome and told us ahead of time so we were prepared. We didn’t use that beach very much because of it but it didn’t create an amazing view and some great people watching :) The location was awesome and we had easy access to restaurants and shops. Would 100% recommend this place. It was clean, easy to get to and absolutely gorgeous. 10/10!!

Great views and location!

The condominium was just as expected. Beautiful views and great location. Place was very clean and comfortable. The only reason for 3 stars on check in process was due to VRBO. VRBO did not communicate well, via emails and calls to notify us of problems. Property owner was fantastic during this ordeal. The cleaning staff also needs to be acknowledged, she was fantastic. We highly recommend this property for your Hawaiian vacation.
