Regarding the view: Our condo is indeed a corner unit with panoramic views — the front window faces the Gulf directly, and the lanai offers both Gulf and beautiful Back Bay views. Most guests describe the view as stunning, and we’re sorry if the angle from the balcony wasn’t what you had expected. We’ll revisit our listing description to ensure it’s as clear and accurate as possible. We also sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issue you encountered. Our regular cleaner was on vacation that week, and a substitute stepped in. This clearly didn’t meet our standards, and we've already addressed the situation to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. We're so glad you enjoyed our condo. While there has been a lot of progress getting our island back to normal after Hurricane Ian, we still have a way to go. Thankfully, our complex has re-opened, beach renourishment is nearing completion, and our pool is open. Like you, we become frustrated with long lines of traffic toward Times Square. We tend to go earlier in the afternoon when we want to enjoy restaurants near Times Square like Snug Harbor, Doc Ford's and Dixie Fish. We've also found it a lot easier to drive south out of EBTC toward Bonita Springs. There we can enjoy Flipper's Restaurant at Lover's Key Resort, Fish House and Coconut Jack's. We were excited to learn that a new ice cream shop at Santini Plaza (across the street) has opened and they serve breakfast items and sandwiches. We can't wait for other expected restaurants to open there in the near future. Thank you for choosing our island beach condo.

Thank you so much for renting our condo and for your kind comments. In the VRBO description of our condo, we try to prepare renters for the ongoing construction work at our complex and on the island. Although so much work has been completed since the hurricane, we’re also surprised each time we visit that so much construction continues. We learned today that our pool is ready for inspection. There are improvements each day. Fortunately, our regular excellent housekeeper is back on duty!! Thanks again for visiting Ft. Myers Beach during this rebuilding phase. “We ABSOLUTELY loved this condo!” “The views were spectacular and the location was perfect.” “...the property was as described and pictured.” Thank you, Kerry, for taking time to review our condo and EBT. We regret that your impressions were not positive like those described above by other recent renters. Out of 56 reviews, the great majority of renters enjoy staying in our condo - VRBO rating remains 4.9/5. We’d like to address and hopefully clarify items you raised. By the way, we’re always looking for ways to improve our unit so thank you for your suggestions. LOCATION: “...the word ‘beachfront’ describes a property that has some type of ocean view with the additional benefit of immediate access to a sandy beach along the water’s edge" (from azcentral). Our unit is beachfront, literally 100 steps from our building to the beach. Our corner unit offers some view of the Gulf and a more panoramic view of the Back Bay. From our living area window, you look directly at the Gulf. AMENITIES: There is a grill right in front of our building, not far from the entrance, & additional grills near the tennis courts. We’ve never seen people waiting to use the grill nor have we heard this as an issue from previous renters. We updated our VRBO listing - washer and dryers are coin-operated/shared. The pool is located a short distance away near the building next to ours. We've never seen it overcrowded in off-peak season. We're sorry you felt crowded. We stayed in our unit the week following your stay and the pool was not overcrowded. ​There have never been two pools. Each condo in the EBT buildings has a window AC unit. Our AC unit is 2 yrs old and serviced yearly. We used the unit the week after you visited and it functioned efficiently. We’ll check into changing the lights in the bathroom. 3 LEVELS OF SECURITY: (1) building code is changed quarterly; (2) code for renters on the electronic lock on our unit is changed according to our protocol - we do not share publicly for the safety of our renters. There is a note below the lock reminding renters to lock the door behind them; (3) a security guard patrols the grounds and checks each floor a couple times daily which helps everyone feel safe.
