Lake trip

The house was amazing! It was very peaceful and quiet. My wife, son and I had a blast. It was nice to get away from everything for a few days. Joshua was very quick to responding if any questions arose. Great host! We will definitely be coming back. Wasnt quite warm enough to enjoy swimming but we cruised around in the boat still which was a great bonus. We would 100% recommend. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home! Cant wait to come back!

Not just a summer escape!

My wife wanted a winter cabin escape to celebrate her birthday, and this was the perfect spot! Nothing beat waking up in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee and watching the snow fall on the lake. There were plenty of things to do, our children (7 & 5) had a great time as well as my parents, who joined us to celebrate. We'd love to return both in the summer and again in the winter!

Perfect for fishing!

The house was very nice, with a great deck overlooking the lake. We liked having our boat at the dock, with launch site just down the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Trip

The house was very nice and clean. The hosts are very accommodating. The kids had a great time on the water pad swimming and kayaking. Highly recommend.

Great escape

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and tidy with lots of extra touches provided. House had everything we needed. Enjoyed the fishing right from the dock and only about 50 ft from house. Definitely hope to rent it again and bring some additional family to enjoy it too

Wonderful Escape

Escape on Long Lake was a great property for our extended family (including fur babies) to enjoy time together. Josh was very responsive and helpful through the whole booking process and stay. We appreciated the amenities for our dogs and access to water toys (including a last minute pontoon rental when our personal boat quit). Our only “complaint” was a lack of storage space and supplies in the kitchen, but we were able to punt and make it work. Thank you!

My family & I had a wonderful time at the house! It was spacious and had everything you needed. The area/ lake was perfect for swimming and relaxing. The huge deck was a definite plus! We will definitely be staying there again!!

The Escape Ticked All Our Boxes

The Escape was a lovely lake house located on beautiful, quiet Long Lake. Our older grandchildren enjoyed the lower level with the pool table and their own private bathroom. We took in the sunrises each morning with our 2 month old grandson on the spacious balcony where we also ate all our meals. The kayaks, paddleboat and swimming mat were used daily by everyone. The Alligator Sanctuary was a highlight as was the excellent ice cream shop.We would definitely like a return vacation at the Escape.

Perfect Escape!

We had such an amazing time at The Escape on Long Lake! Everything was as advertised or better! Plenty to do for all ages 1-60 yrs old. We kayacked, paddle boarded, pontooned and swam for the full 8days we were there. Weather couldn’t have been better and the house was so comfy cool when we had to take a break from the sun. 6 adults and 3 kids had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Thank you for opening your home to us, we couldn’t have picked a better place!!

Fishing trip for the kids

We had a great time at the cottage. The kids loved the bunk bed room. There were plenty of bathrooms for everyone. The view of the lake was pretty and the neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed eating our meals out on the deck, which was covered so the rain didn't stop us. One draw back was there was a slight musty smell in the basement, but our teenager had no trouble sleeping down there or using the pool table. The dock was convenient and we enjoyed the kayaks as well. In addition to fishing, we also had fun with some area activities. The doughnuts at Yoder's Market were fantastic and we can't say enough good things about the Alligator Sanctuary in Athens. Overall, this was a great stay and we would recommend this place to others!

Great family place!

I wasn’t sure how much there would be to do since we were staying at a lake house in December but we were pleasantly surprised! We had 3 boys 12-14 and they didn’t run out of things to do. Pool table, board games, smart TV’s for their video games, great house for hide and seek, and went into town for good food. The house had holiday decorations and was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed so we didn’t have to go to the store. Joshua was very responsive and made everything very easy. Hoping we can come back in the summer and enjoy the lake!

Amazing Autumn Getaway

Our visit to the escape at Long Lake was amazing! We kayaked, paddle boated, roasted marshmallows, played horseshoes, shot some pool, took some walks, and even took an icy dip in the beautiful lake. The home was so thoughtfully set up for us. I can’t recommend this home enough! It was absolutely perfect. When you stay, be sure to order take out from 5 star pizza; ridiculously good. Thank you, Joshua!!

Real nice place

The house is great. There was only five of us so we stayed on the first floor so there is a big room downstairs that we didn’t even use. We spent a lot of the time on the deck which was our favorite place. If the weather was bad I would have been out there with a coat on, but the weather was nice. Went to Shipshewana to shop and sturgis for Starbucks and ice cream, a nice drive to both.
