Great panoramic views of Lake Tahoe from this family friendly home located in Tahoe City

Welcome to Viewtopia's spacious Dollar Point home that features an amazing view of Lake Tahoe! The view toward Tahoe's East Shore ensures you have the best seats for morning sun rises and evening moon rises.

This home boasts a large comfortable great room offering views of Lake Tahoe. A gas log fireplace makes the living room cozy on cool Tahoe nights. The very well equipped kitchen is off the great room - perfect for the social cook. The upstairs roomy loft is nice for a quiet read or family board games. There are two master bedrooms - both with a gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe and two additional bedrooms.

A great all year round location central to North Lake Tahoe. You can ride the bike path to Tahoe City, along the Truckee River and down the West Shore of Tahoe. For the more adventurous, just up the hill is the Tahoe City Cross Country Area for summer mountain biking or winter Nordic skiing. About 20 minutes away are the Ski Resorts Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Palisades, Homewood, and Mount Rose. The North Shore of Lake Tahoe, from Tahoe City to Kings Beach, offers a wonderful variety of restaurants, shopping and nightlife including casinos.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 8 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Use of outdoor furniture is not guranteed in the winter.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

Lovely stay with a wonderful view!

We had a wonderful stay and the hosts were very kind and communicative. We spent hours enjoying the view from the back patio and appreciated the homes location being close to Tahoe city for our outings.

Family Summer trip

The location of the home is great. It’s very close to Tahoe City and about 15 minutes to Kings Beach. The home is open and spacious in the downstairs area. The bedrooms are comfortable with quality coverings.The main attraction is the expansive deck and the million dollar view of the lake. It would be nice to have a tower fan for the living room.

Lovely view and cozy home

The view of the lake from so many rooms of this home are spectacular. The home is cozy, eye clean and accommodating. Close to town, shops and restaurants. Interior is a little dated, but the home was wonderful for our family. Will definitely look to stay there again.

Great views of the lake!

Cain is a little old, but maintained well. Has all basic necessities as advertised. Great views from the large balcony! Black out curtains would have been helpful, but it’s a shame to sleep in on a gorgeous sunrise.

Tahoe Visit

This home is a bit older with an amazing view of Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed the fireplace and back deck. Our car got broken into within 3 hours of being at the location. Learned the hard way about bears in the area. Please remember to lock doors and remove food from your vehicle.

Great view but…

The view was the best thing about this cabin. This cabin was not ready for renting. The plumbing fixtures were leaking, the shower doors in master were falling off the track, the deck furniture and umbrellas were shabby, and the washer spin cycle didn’t work. The location was great, but bring your own shower soap and don’t look forward to using the Dollar Point beach.

A week of bliss!

We had the best trip to Lake Tahoe! Staying at Alice’s Dollar Point home really made our trip! Our family or four did not want to go home! The views from this property are unreal! When not out river rafting, hiking or on the Tree Top zip lines we spent most of our time on the deck. People hike to destinations to have the beautiful view we were lucky enough to have for over a week! Mischel was very pleasant and went the extra mile to make our trip the best it could be. The property is very well equipped and keeps the Tahoe Cabin charm alive! We really enjoyed the property and walking around the Dollar Point neighborhood. Thank you Alice and Mischel for providing a beautiful vacation for our family!

Great views and location; home needs some $$ invested in improvements

This home has a fabulous million dollar view. The outside deck is spacious, with plenty of room for lounging. We never tired of looking at the lake and the mountains during the day, the bats at twilight, and the stars at night. The location in the Dollar Point area gave us easy access to Tahoe City/Carnelian Bay/Kings' Beach, and the West Shore. The interior has seen much better days and would greatly benefit by some relatively minor investment in improvements. Weather was in mid-high 70s when we were there and the house was quite warm during the day and into the evening despite cool nights and constant use of small fans.The windows (save one upstairs) all have thin gauzy curtains or no curtains, so there is little to block the sun/minimize heat. The great room area, with many windows, could use a couple of ceiling fans to circulate air. The refrigerator froze everything on the bottom couple of shelves. There were other minor upkeep items that ideally would be addressed.On the plus side, the great room was large with plenty of seating, and there were sufficient glasses, plates, and cutlery in the kitchen.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family met to have our Christmas in this incredible home! The space was great for our two daughters, son-in-laws, and two little grandsons and us. The view is unbeatable!!!!!!! Each and every day it was like something out of a movie in that the views are panoramic! The fireplace was heavenly and each of our families had their own bathrooms. There were two living and game areas and the kitchen was just enough with a large pantry. We would stay here again and have GREAT pictures from our stay here if the rental company would be interested in seeing them.Thank you to the owners for opening up their beautiful home to us.

Loved the house and magnificent views. Property manager was fantastic. Only issue was if some money was invested in shades be much more comfortable. Upper windows in 2 story living let’s sun in and it heats up very quickly. Our highs were around 80. I think any hotter would not be comfortable. Small investment for s beautiful property.

Everything was great except the lack of adequate window shades/coverings in all the rooms. The morning sun shines in the two master bedrooms at 6 am as well as the kitchen, dining and family rooms- making them so HOT. There should be ceiling fans in all rhe rooms since there is no a/c. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. For less than $1000, the suggested improvements could be made and guests would be far happier.

Beautiful home in Tahoe

We had a great time in this beautiful home. Its just a few miles out of Tahoe City. We had 2 dogs and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen had Every thing a family would need. We look forward to going back next year. Highly recommend!

perfect for families

i wish the curtains in the bedrooms were black out. waking with the Sunrise everyday for a week is exhausting. deck wood gave our littles splinters. wish there were a hot tub. wifi was great. playroom upstairs was fab. circular staircase not safe for small children.
