A 15 minutos de Florencia, espaciosa y elegante suite con su propio patio / jardín y 2 salas de estar grandes; 2 habitaciones panorámicas: la primera, con capacidad para 3 personas, tiene un baño grande con bañera de hidromasaje y ducha separada. El segundo, con su propio baño privado con bañera y ducha, está al lado del dormitorio principal y tiene la misma vista panorámica. Cuenta con dos camas individuales, así como un altillo abierto con una ventana en el techo que se accede a través de una escalera desde el dormitorio con una cama extra. Hay una nueva cocina totalmente equipada, una sala de estar con la chimenea original del país, con área de comedor y un sofá cama, y la otra una pared de vidrio que se abre al patio que está pavimentado con piedra vieja y tiene una mesa que era una piedra rueda utilizada para triturar las aceitunas. Las elegantes citas son una mezcla de muebles antiguos y modernos. La gran piscina compartida (metros 15. 50 X 7. 00 X 1. 25) no visible desde la casa y rodeada de vegetación, abierta del 15 de mayo al 30 de septiembre, se trata con sal natural. Se recomienda el transporte personal. Servicio de automóvil privado disponible con costo adicional.

Esta hermosa casa de campo del siglo XIX, recientemente restaurada, forma parte de la "Fattoria Il Leccio", vivida y propiedad de la familia Passigli durante cuatro generaciones. Se encuentra en la cima de una colina con vistas al Valle del Mugnone, un hermoso valle que ofrece vistas panorámicas de colinas suavemente inclinadas cultivadas con olivares bien cuidados, así como vistas de la ciudad de Fiesole y la ciudad de Florencia. Giovanni Boccaccio en su Decameron del siglo XIII, ubica algunas de sus historias en este valle.
Se recomienda el transporte personal. El transporte público (autobús y tren) está disponible al pie de la colina en el pueblo de Caldine. Se trata de una caminata de 10/15 minutos a través de la campiña bucólica montañosa. El tren, a 12 minutos de la estación de Fiesole / Caldine a la estación de Santa Maria Novella en el centro de Florencia, pasa aproximadamente cada hora. Los autobuses, a 30 minutos, también te llevan a Florencia. Hay poco transporte público después de las 8pm. Caldine tiene un supermercado, así como una oficina de correos y un banco. Perfection

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Andrea made the stay so much more personal by buying us groceries for our very late check in, recommending restaurants and driving us to places we would otherwise have struggled to get to. The accommodation was perfect and we could not have asked for a better time!

Amazing Stay

We had a fantastic stay. The accommodations and property are beautiful, and the pool was perfect. We used it almost every day. We couldn’t have asked for more. Andrea was a fabulous host. He was always available if needed. We even purchased his olive oil to take home and share with extended family. We hope to come back sometime. Thank you!

The perfect countryside getaway

We were pleasantly surprised at this authentic countryside home in the midst of a working olive farm. After a long international flight, two hectic days of touring in Rome, and a three hour ride north, we arrived too tired to go out for dinner. We were pleasantly greeted by our welcoming, English speaking host(s), and a thoughtful bottle of wine, along with some delicious pasta, which was much appreciated by us and our two children. Our gracious hosts made us feel like part of the family. The home was newly renovated with a lovely and clean bathroom. We also enjoyed cooking as a family in the fully equipped kitchen. It's a great location if you are looking for a private, authentic setting to come home to after sightseeing in the Tuscany region. We were even able to drive to Venice and back in one day. We would definitely return to this wonderful place!

Idyllic and relaxing Tuscan retreat

This apartment had all that we could have hoped for a stay in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The property itself was charming, quiet, and very comfortable, and the organic olive farm in which it is situated is beautiful with stunning views of the hills surrounding Florence. Of course, the olive oil produced on the farm was delicious. It really did feel like staying in a little slice of paradise. The apartment is located outside a lovely village that is outside the beaten tourist path; going to the shops and fantastic restaurants, we felt like we were the only non-locals there, which made us feel like we were truly experiencing the local culture. Andrea, Sandra, and Lorenzo are very friendly and welcoming hosts who provided all the comforts and advice we needed for a relaxing stay. The instructions Andrea provided for arriving were very detailed and his recommendations for exploring the area were well considered. We really enjoyed chatting with them and hearing Andrea's beautiful piano playing drift into the patio as we sat outside. Our only regret is that we had to return home! We hope to return to this special place one day.

Italien pur- Schöne Landschaft und tolles Ambiente

In diesem stilvollen und wunderschön eingerichteten Gebäudeteil der Fattoria Il Leccio haben wir Andrea 10 herrliche Tage verbracht. Der große Swimmingpool war perfekt für einen entspannten Urlaub. Die Gastgeberfamilie Passigli hat uns sehr nett empfangen und sehr fürsorglich beherbergt. Mit dem Auto ist man in 10‘ in Caldine, hier bekommt man alles im Coop und kann in den Bars einen guten Cappuccino trinken. Hier gelangt man vom Bahnhof aus in 20‘ nach Santa Maria Novella mitten in Florenz! Perfekt für die Städtetour. Auch die weiten verzweigten Wanderwege im wunderschönen Wandergebiet Parco Giogo-Casaglio sind fantastisch. Andrea hat uns immer super Restaurant Tipps gegeben, so haben wir in der Pizzeria „le 4 Strade“ die beste Pizza unseres Lebens gegessen. Es war ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Danke an Andrea und Familie!

Ontspannen verblijf

Wij hebben heerlijk genoten van het ontspannen verblijf in deze vakantiewoning. Fijn onthaal door Andrea met de nodige tips voor de omgeving maar vooral genoten van de mooie vergezichten en de rust. Een aanrader!!!

Wonderful Home - Great Host!

Enjoyed our stay in the hills of Florence. Wonderful, comfortable home, extremely attentive and helpful host. Kitchen well equipped. Recommend car, especially climbing up to the place during the late Spring/Summer heat. Can highly recommend overall.

A Very Good Choice - In The Hills Above Florence

My friends and I stayed here for 5 nights and could not have been happier with Andrea and the property. Andrea was very helpful in all aspects. The location is perfect for visiting Florence and the surrounding area. Andrea suggested we take the 15 minute train ride into the central Florence train station instead of driving our rental car, and it was a very good idea. We parked for free at the Caldine / Fiesole station and for 1.50 euros took the train directly into downtown Florence. The property is very secluded and quiet, the directions to the farm house very detailed. Just keep following them and you will eventually find the place. I wouldn't suggest trying to find it in the dark the first time though. There is a co-op in Caldine, maybe 5 minutes from the property where you can find all you need to make your own fabulous pasta dinners. The kitchen was well furnished, as was the rest of the house. The wifi was fast and always available.

Simply Stunning…

We rented all 3 apartments as we were a big party and it couldn’t have worked out better. Each apartment was spacious, well equipped and very clean with a lovely Tuscan feel about them. The large pool was extremely welcoming in the 38 degree heat and with stunning views of the Tuscan hills it was the perfect place to relax. The location was ideal as you’re situated in a beautiful rural setting but just a short drive or train ride into bustling Florence city centre. Above all, what astounded us most was the outstanding hospitality we received from Andrea, Sandra and Lorenzo. They went way beyond the call of duty and couldn’t have made us feel more welcome.

family idyll

Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teen girls, stayed at this property for 5 nights. It was wonderful! It was charming and rustic and felt like we were truly in the Tuscan countryside. However, the wonderful town of Fiesole and Florence were very close by and readily accessible. The apt. we stayed in was perfection. It was large and beautifully decorated with all the amenities one could want or need. What made this property, above and beyond all others we have stayed at, was the unbelievable helpfulness and kindness of the owners. When we need any help at all (and we needed a great deal since we were often lost and one night we even had a flat tire,) Lorenzo was available at all times with a kindness and cheerfulness that was unbelievable. We even joked that he was our "guardian angel." You cannot go wrong with this property and I only hope I have the opportunity to visit again in the future.

Tuscan tuck away

Fabulous, fabulous!! The villa was a little tricky to find at first as we repeatedly pass the narrow road down to the villa. Neighbors in the area were very helpful in locating the property. Once there, we realized it was well worth the travel to get there. Beautiful, spacious, clean, peaceful. The owner and his family were super. Fiesole is a great point from which to start each day to the city or further locations. Car rental is a must.

Beautiful views from olive farm

We loved staying on this beautiful olive farm. Renovations have made this a truly first class place with comfortable beds and LOTS of space for the four of us. Andrea was the most charming and helpful host, always available and smiling but never intrusive. The 12 minute train ride from Caldine into Florence was an easy and relaxing way to get to the centre of Florence. Returning home to have a relaxing cold drink on our patio was an excellent way to end each tourist day and our dinners were often accompanied by beautiful piano music, drifting up as Andrea practiced below. The view of the countryside from the dining room table was so lovely that we rotated positions so that each of us got to enjoy it. The Caldine Co-op really did have everything we needed. There were few tourists in Caldine and our Italian was almost non-existent but everyone in town was happy to help us.

Fabulous location and accomodation!

My husband and daughter stayed at this location for a wonderful week this August. The accommodation was perfect for us - the rooms were clean, homely and fully equipped. Andrea was around to help us with all sorts of advice - including restaurant recommendations (yummy), train schedules, nearby grocery store, as well as help with operating the dishwasher, etc. The swimming pool provided an excellent way of cooling down after a day of touring; or as an alternative way of spending the day. I would recommend this accommodation to friends and family. A wonderful respite in the Tuscan olive groves....

Wonderful stay - Warm reception

We stayed for a week at the end of our trip in Italy. Could have stayed longer to enjoy the region a bit more. Andrea and his family made this stay very special, try having your morning coffee on your private terrace with Strauss playing on the piano in the background watching the Tuscany landscape! The house is perfectly equipped and the attending bedroom in front is perfect for families with older children which will appreciate their very own separate apartment. Beautifully located a hop away from Florence, we also enjoyed the local countryside and cooking at home. The local grocery store (CO-OP) has everything you need. We highly recommend it and would return there without hesitation.

Fattoria Il Leccio is amazing! and so are the hosts!

We stayed across from the Louvre, Turner's Richmond, and then the Vatican but none was as nice as the lovely and peaceful setting created by Andrea and his family. Fiesole is glorious and close to Florence but so special as the refuge it has been for two plus millenia. Andrea, an amazing painist, was always available but never intrusive. The special place in Fiesole should be an escape for musicians since the birds will sing as you arrive. Enjoy and buy some of the best virgin olive oil you will ever taste!

Fantastic Month at Il Leccio

My husband and I had the privilege of being able to spend a month at this beautiful home north of Florence. What made this place special, besides the spacious, well-equipped and elegant (5 room) apartment with a view over the olive tree groves to Fiesole and beyond, was our host Andrea. He is wonderful; charming and helpful. He went out of his way to install a phone line for us to use with our calling card. We took the 12-minute train ride into Florence rather than drive and hassle with parking as the station is just down the hill a 5-minute drive away. You are welcomed with a bottle of wine and supplied with organic olive oil to cook with. This is a peaceful, quiet place away with a comfortable bed in a room that overlooks the valley. I really enjoyed relaxing in the bathtub after a day of sightseeing. If you don't want or need to be in the center of Florence, this is the place to stay.

The mother Sandra, a graduate in Political Science, devotes her time to furnishing and designing the apartments. Andrea the father, concert pianist and former Conservatory teacher, divides his time between love for music and for the countryside. The quality of our guests' stay is our first motivation, offering a friendly welcome and attention to any of their needs to make them feel at home.
