The PRIVATE Bid-A-Wee beach with gated access will give you the opportunity to enjoy quality time away from overcrowded public beaches! Seashell Cottage is less than 2 miles from Pier Park and very close to other major attractions and restaurants.

Love Love Love this little cottage. One block from the beach, private gate entrance and the beach is not crowded. Off the main strip so noise is reduced but convenient to everything.The host is super sweet and helpful.

Clean and very nice layout

We had 7 days in a very nice house. Our lab loved it! A nice beach across the way and a cool dog beach near some great bars. The bed and bathrooms were very comfortable.

Could have been better

Overall, the property met the needs of what we were needing. And was a close walk to the beach. Things that were not up to what I would be to be good standards would be, stained towels, furniture/pillows and bedding. It all smelt clean but was definitely stained up. One of the bathrooms had less than half a roll of toilet paper, we stayed extremely hot the whole time in the house, especially when sleeping at night. The host responded quickly to questions but little to nothing was done to accommodate for how hot the house was. For the amount of money we book to rent a home for a trip, I would expect better. It made do for a few days as family but I would not book again.

Wonderful place to stay!!

Wonderful property - we came into PCB to visit family and it was the PERFECT place to stay and get together! Large living space, dining area, and kitchen. Couldn't have asked for anything better! We would definitely recommend it and likely stay again. Beautiful furnishings, attention to detail. Great location - just a short walk to the beach. Nice neighborhood. Can't say enough good things about it. Linda was very responsive. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

Wonderful wedding weekend!

We traveled to Panama City for a family wedding and booked this cottage for 4 nights. So happy with our choice! Absolutely adorable - even cuter in person! It was very clean, quiet, and anything you could have needed was provided. Unfortunately we never made it to the beach due to weather and schedule, but there was even a shed in the back with all the chairs and beach toys that you might want. Location was great! We will definitely book again when we come back to the area!

Fabulous location

We had a fabulous stay at this quaint bungalow steps away from the beach. It is perfect for a small family or for individuals that don't mind bunking together. The second bathroom is near the dining area, so keep that in mind if privacy is needed. We had an issue with the air on our first day. The owner was responsive and had it repaired the next day. Her communication through the entire rental process was seamless and attentive. I've already recommended this property to several friends. It is now on our list to stay at next Spring Break! You can't beat the location.

Not as expected; false advertising

We only rented the place because we saw a hot tub was an amenity. However, upon arrival, there was no hot tub. Nightly rates are comparable to those that do have hot tubs, so it didn’t seem that we would show up to no hot tub, considering it was listed as an amenity. Plain false advertising. In addition, there were instructions that we were not allowed to turn the AC below 72 degrees. My husband and I both keep it 70 degrees or under to sleep, so it was miserable trying to sleep while sweating. The grass had not been mowed in months it seemed, turning into hay and above my knees. We thought we would give her benefit of the doubt & finally said something on day 3 of our stay. Jokes were made that a “big hot tub” was just blocks away, making fun of her own false advertising. Then, we were told her gardener came automatically unless it had rained, but it was clear that nobody had cared to mow in months. There is only one fire stick to 3 tvs in the house, which she told us would work in all tvs, but the fire stick only worked on the front tv, we tried the others & it wouldn’t boot. So, the only option was to try to watch it on the pullout couches before bed. However, the pullout couches were so dirty on the inside, so we were unable to watch tv to go to bed, as we normally do. There was absolutely no relaxation for us when we had long days at the beach & wanted our normal nightly routine. Nothing was done to help accommodate us, other than the “gardener” coming out there last day

Bid-A-Wee Beach Receives Historical Marker -
Bid-A-Wee Beach in Panama City Beach, Florida, has a unique history rooted in a desire to preserve its natural state. The 2,500-foot stretch of beach, now a designated Florida heritage site, was initially acquired by Harry Cailey in 1926 under the Homestead Act and later sold to Dr. Grover and Eula Miller. Eula Miller named the beach "Bid-A-Wee" (Scottish for "bide your time a short while") and dedicated it to the property owners in 1938, with the stipulation it be used for "park purposes only". This dedication, along with the efforts of residents, helped preserve the area as a wildlife preserve and the last undeveloped private beach in Panama City Beach.
