Location-Location-Location! Steps to pristine Madaket Beach--the surf will lull you to sleep each evening. You’ll also be adjacent Madaket Harbor, which is an excellent calm beach for small children. Enjoy surfcasting and drive on sand/beach with your 4x4 at Smith's Point, boating or kayaking around Madaket Harbor, and much more. You'll be seconds to the bike path and shuttle bus, which provide service to downtown and across the island, not to mention you'll be surrounded by miles of conservation land for taking long walks and recreation.

Enjoy the perfect blend of modern comforts/upgrades and preservation of details that evoke the history and spirit of this seafaring island. Beautiful original hardwood floors, tasteful touches of a bygone nautical era, and more pair with exquisite furnishings, elegant kitchen and living room appliances, hydrangea-filled gardens, and more. You'll never want to leave!

The master bedroom has a queen bed and the guest bedroom has three singles. Sleeper sofa in the living room for extra sleeping space. Two full bathrooms are complemented by and an outdoor shower. The rear patio deck with dining table and grill give you an exceptional outdoor dining option.

All new kitchen cabinets and appliances for 2023. Freshly painted and newly decorated with an idyllic living room with 65 inch Frame TV. Take in sunsets from the dining room or the private deck. The property is surrounded by gorgeous hydrangeas.

Other amenities include wireless hi-speed internet, stereo, surround sound, wine/beverage center, washer, dryer, beach chairs, cooler and beach towels.

Next door to Millie's Restaurant and Bar, the heartbeat of Madaket. Millie's also runs a cute general store and ice cream shop.

Bunk house (queen bed in loft; sleeper sofa; bathroom) can be added to your stay to give your group additional room for an extra cost. Please let us know if you are interested in adding the bunk house; we'll share costs/options.

Beautiful cabin and location. Lovely high-end appliances and aesthetics throughout. The owner was very pleasant and easy to communicate with for check in and everything went smoothly during our stay. We had a wonderful time - perfect for three adults and two medium sized dogs, and we hope to visit again soon!

We loved our stay at Sweet Thing in Nantucket! We were away from the busy streets and right by the beach! The sunsets were incredible and we enjoyed eating at Mollie’s several times. We look forward to visiting again!

The cottage was beautiful and we had a wonderful weekend. It was only a minute from our front door to the beach, to the bus into town, and to Millies. It was a great weekend and JP was a great host!

The location of the property is perfect! Walk to beach, magnificent sunsets and Millie’s. Could not have been better! The house is truly a “sweet thing with a perfect layout”! It is very cozy and I would recommend it!

We loved our stay. Amazing location next to the beach and Millie’s, and easy use of the bus into town for the teens. Jp was great to deal with and quick to answer any questions. The description of the house is a little misleading - def not a 3 br. It’s a 2br with a pullout couch. Regardless, great spot.

We will definitely book again!

Myself, my boyfriend and our dog planned a long getaway weekend to Nantucket. We came across this property that was very fairly priced for the area. We enjoyed our stay here in the cottage so much. It was updated, clean, felt homey, the property was great and has water views. JP the host was extremely helpful and kind and made the whole process so easy for us. When we come back to Nantucket we will be staying here again and we would recommend to anyone to stay here as well!

Labor Day Getaway

JP is such a great host! This was our first trip to Nantucket and Sweet thing is a lovely place to stay. The house is well stocked with cooking supplies, towels, beach chairs and more! Our only complaint would be the mattress in the master bedroom. Even with that, it is a great place to stay. It is steps away from the most beautiful sunsets! Thanks so much!

Madaket Beach is a couple hundred yards away. Enjoy magnificent days at the beach with zero fuss. Come back home for a pit stop, lunch break, etc. Forgot something? No worries, it's a minutes-long round trip and you're back basking in ocean splendor. If you're adventurous, bring a 4x4 and purchase a beach pass so you can do off-roading , fishing, and sightseeing via Smith Point. Madaket Beach and Smith Point have the undisputed best sunsets in Nantucket, bring your cameras/phones!
