We had a wonderful stay at this property. The layout worked very well for our family of five. Our favorite part about the week was the proximity to the bike path and the ease of getting into both Harwich and Chatham easily. Overall we found the property beautifully updated, with everything we needed for a weeks vacation.

Wonderful vacation time

It was a big house and very comfortable for us. It was decorated very pretty and stylish. The layout was convenient and the lighting everywhere was dimmable to provide extra comfort.

Quick get-away to cape

Enjoyed our time on the cape in may. No crowds and great weather. House well equipped and well located. easy access to beach, bike trail, and many excellent hiking sites.

June getaway

This was our second time staying at this property. The house/location are great! Very close to Bike Trail, restaurants and beach. The host, Joe, was quick to respond to any questions we had. Looking forward to coming back next summer!

This rental was everything we expected and would consider staying again. The price was a little more than we wanted to spend, but had several updates. Being a just over a mile to Red River beach was very convenient

Great House

Had a great experience with Joe and the home. Unfortunately, we had a bit of a cloudy, rainy week, but the home afforded us enough space (indoor and outdoor) to still feel comfortbable even when stuck indoors. Easy access to the bikepath was also excellent.

Lovely house and amenities in nice neighborhood

Very clean and well appointed. Lovely deck and grill. Fine neighborhood, very close to bike path. Only quibble is third "bathroom" is the outdoor shower--which we enjoyed VERY MUCH, FWIW. But you'll enjoy!

Perfect family retreat

We enjoyed the central location of this updated home. The bike path was seconds away, and the garage was fully stocked with bikes. We loved biking to Red River Beach, just up the road, in the evenings for some great family relaxing. The basement also housed plenty of beach chairs, so our excursions were comfortable. We ate out, so I cannot comment on the kitchen; however, it appeared to be well stocked. We would definitely stay again.

Great vacation home

Very clean home in a quiet neighborhood. Joe the homeowner met us at the home and was very friendly and helpful and went through the house with us upon arrival. He was very easy to contact when we had a question. We loved having the master suite on the opposite side of the house from the other bedrooms and the open floor plan was fantastic for family gatherings. I would definitely recommend this home for vacation!

Anniversary weekend

We went for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and had a great time. The house was outstanding. Plenty of bicycles to choose from for a ride on the nearby trail. Beach chairs a-plenty for our time at the beach. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Communication with Joe was easy and helpful. We plan to go back!

We stayed at Beach Heather in Oct of 2002 with the very best weather the Cape has! Some friends from Plymouth joined us and agreat time was had by all. We have rented in Florida, TN, VA, and in the NE, and have never had a more warm experience with the house and the owners. If you rent the Beach Heather, you will feel like you are old friends to the area, the house, and the owners, Jen, and Tom.

Heather on the hill

Very comfortable and well located home in a quiet neighborhood. Split plan with good size bedrooms/baths on either end of a large living room open to a well equipped kitchen and dining area . 3rd bedroom on one end as well. The backyard and patio are lovely. Outdoor Shower too. The owner is nearby and very responsive if you have questions. We highly recommend.

My father and I were in the Cape to visit my Grandmother for her birthday, we found the location of the Beach Heather property to be very convenient. It was a relaxing home and had a welcoming feel to the area. Jen and Tom included several amenities adding to the homly feeling of the place. I wish to return for a visit soon, and hope to bring the rest of the family so they can also enjoy the stay as my father and I did...

WOW! The Beach Heather was a most memorable vacation home for our family. It was our first vacation with our infant twin boys, and Jen and Tom made it a home away from home for us all. Everything we requested (highchairs, pack and plays, strollers) was waiting for us upon our arrival. We cannot say enough about the Beach Heather - it was immaculate! We have been vacationing on the Cape for many years and this is now our favorite (and only!) place we will stay!! A most special vacation house!

I visited the Beach Heather for four days in February along with 3 girlfriends for a "girls only" vacation. We arrived very late on a Saturday night after one of the biggest snow storms in history and we were very comforted to find that not only were the lights left on for us, but the heater as well (and coming from California, that was a big plus). The house was beautiful & immaculate. Anything that one might want was already thought of and then some. We had a wonderful vacation & look forward to staying there again some time with our families.

We stayed here 22nd to 29th june 2002. The house is amazing, well equipped with everything you need, there isnt anything they have forgotten. The house is in a perfect location for exploring the cape, its close by to great amenities resturants, shops, the beaches, the bike trail, so much to do never enough time. If the days exploring leaves you tired out, there is a great bbq at the house so you can dine alfresco and enjoy the great weather. We have been to the Cape twice now, and would like to return again . We would definately return to the house and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to someone else. Thanks again for your great hospitality.

Comfy cape home

This cape home is well taken care of with everything you could possibly need! The owners were easy to get ahold of, with quick responses! We were even coming in late so Joseph left the light on for us! The only reason I am not giving this house a 5th star is one of the back bedrooms had stains all over the carpet producing a sour smell:-/. Luckily I did not stay in that room and my MIL is not as sensitive to things as me. I would rent this house again! It was confidently located and easy to find your way to the main roads!

Thank you for the review, in regards to the carpet having a stain it was a prior renter that had damaged it however due to tight rental schedule I can only do replacements when it is not rented and we have been booked the entire spring thru fall. I am having the carpets replaced in both back bedrooms and was already set up to have done, as many renters can see the entire home has been upgraded from top to bottom and has been well taken care of. Most owners understand that things can happen as to anything being damaged or children making stains it is all part of life however please let the owners know so we are not left helpless left with no time to make the repairs needed. Matt & I had the wonderful fortune of finding the Beach Heather, which will forever be etched in our memories! While planning our "destination" wedding, we decided that it would be easier for us to book a house for the week leading up to the wedding vs. staying in a hotel. Little did we know just how easy that would be when dealing with Jen and Tom. We have been renting houses on the Cape for many years, but nothing can compare to the hospitality we experienced at the Beach Heather. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful accomodations, but some of the highlights: the wonderful treats in the refrigerator awaiting our arrival(Tom makes some of the best cranbery bread ever!), the fresh flowers in all the rooms, the tastefully decorated and immaculate home (not just a house!), every amenity you could imagine including sheets, towels, coffee, tin foil, etc. etc., the well planned book of activites and restaurants including wonderful tips and feedback, comforatble beds, a great back yard and HUGE picnic table, chairs for the beach and a blanket for the park.....yes, like I said I could go on forever. Even their boys left touching hand made cards congratulating us on our marriage! The Beach Heather was a wonderful start to our amazing wedding weekend and we truly thank Jen and Tom for making it so comfortable!
