Looking to get off the grid and enjoy the outdoors with nature all around? Sleep in one of our glamping cabins featuring either Queen bed or 2 twins with ceiling fan and one outlet. Off the ground with screens and private porch. Backs up to hiking trails on site. Or take a quick ride to Watauga Lake, Appalachian Trail, hunting, fishing, skiing, white water rafting and so much more. Bring your side by sides, ATV's, horses or motorcycles! Lots of trails, lots of adventures await. Plenty of parking, unload your side by sides and ride to the Elk River and enjoy the waterfalls and trails. Or trailer it to Doe Mountain where you can ride all day long. This is a unique getaway for the outdoors and adventure seakers! Nice fire pit, bath house featuring his/her showers with hot water and his/hers toilets. Nice and clean and super fun! Come check us out! Camping on another level!!

Adorable and comfy

It was a little cold to but owner had a fire space heater ready for us. Cabins are perfect. We are already taking about planning another trip!!

Great getaway

It's a good little place to go to be alone with family or just quiet time with ur spouse but i highly recommend that you check out the inside of the place before going to bed we had visitors...1st it was the hugest brown spider 🕷on the ceiling who decided to jump at me then when making the bed we found several ticks, but overall we loved the stay.

LOL...it's camping in the Cherokee National Forest so you can expect bugs. We just offer a roof, an elevated floor, a bed, ceiling fan, fire pit, grill, a screen room and an outlet. There are bugs everywhere. We are glad you'll enjoyed your stay with us.

Private Getaway

The glamping hut was super cute and was just as pictured! The hiking trails behind the hut were beautiful as well. The area was not very private though. We brought our dog and the neighbor or maybe owners 3 dogs continuously came over during our entire stay. The dogs were nice however the dog owners constantly kept coming over to get them, therefore the place was not very private as they kept showing up unannounced. Otherwise our stay was fairly nice!

That was my son and his dogs. He was coming to get the lawn trailer. I own 30 acres including the two cabins up top, the two glamping sites, the lot where the buses are, which are going to be a bunk house and two refinshed Airbnb/VRBO sites, so as you can imagine there is a lot of work constantly being done on the property. My apologies if he interrupted your stay. Everyone up in those mountains have dogs to chase away the bears and coyotes. He doesn't live on the property so I'm sure he wasn't there long.

Adorable glamping cabins

Cute little place, clean, and cozy. Very remote and stars were amazing! I had no phone reception so it made finding the place a bit challenging. Having wifi or reception of some kind would give more peace of mind in case of an emergency. Other than that loved the place! I had to stop at a gas station and connected to wifi to message the host. Host was good at responding.

We read reviews before hand so we knew exactly what the place was like before we booked it. The location is wonderful and private. Cleanliness wise... we wish the place had been swept out before hand. Also we had to remove a bird nest. There were a couple of wasp nests left on the ceiling thankfully vacant. We also decided not to use the bedding because there was tree trash or past nest trash on the bed. We brought our own blankets and pillows. We also brushed the dirt off the fan only to find out it doesn't work. We would stay here again for sure though. We enjoyed the peacefulness of it and slept like babies. We are just hoping that the owner will come do a clean out before the next visit. Also we really loved the outdoor shower.

Hi there! I swept it out and cleaned it right before you came. It's kinda hard to keep wasps and dirt out because the floors have gaps in between the boards so bugs do get in there. Especially with the rain and wind we've had lately. Hope it didn't disrupt your stay. It's glamping so...kinda upgraded tent sites. Safe travels to your next destination and keep on exploring!

Someone needs to look up the definition of GLAMPING: this was anything but: bird poop on the sofa, wasp nest outside the screen, empty can of BEAR SPRAY hanging on the wall, no electricity, nothing surrounding you but TREES, nothing safe about it (latch hooks for doors! DANGEROUS hike up/down to the bathroom/shower for older persons, NO power in the bathroom, pee/poop in a bag and take off to destroy, no toilet paper, broken glass on the walkway oitside of the shower/restroom area, and I could say more!!! Totally NOT appropriate for older people. No form of communication due to NO CELL TOWERS!!! These things should be explained when advertised as something young couples would enjoy, but older couples with handicaps cannot manage. It was a total waste of our money, and we were unable to find the property until the day after our checkin date! WE WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE! Glamping? HaHaHa!!! We are thouroughly dissatisfied with this experience, however, we thank our great and mighty Savior for our wonderful friends camping at Roan Mountain State Park because if it had not been for them, we would have NEVER found the "anything but Glamping Cabin we rented," and we would not have had a vacation full of absolutely AMAZING memories!

Bring your side by sides and ride all day at the atv park of Roan Mountain. Ski the slopes of Beach mountain and Sugar mountain. Or enjoy the day on the lake. Maybe enjoy the covered bridge in Elizabethton or hit up the antique shops. Whatever it is, whatever your vibe...come check us out.
