Amazing location. Ok accommodations
Pacific Beach and the location of this property made our stay truly memorable. Walking to the beach and to downtown PB and all the stores and fantastic eateries in the area were great. When we return to San Diego, this is the area we'd love to be....but, I'm don't foresee us staying at this specific accommodation again.
The unit itself left a lot to be desired and it was overpriced (although it was even claimed to be reduced) for how it is furnished for month long stays. The kitchen equipment was not in good shape, not clean (we had to re-run a wash for everything when we got there) and very limited, making it unwelcome to cook at home. The downstairs living is uncomfortable. Period. I couldn't sit and watch a full playoff game down there and resorted to watching on my laptop in bed (see below). The couch is a futon that was less comfortable than the one I had freshman year of college. Please update the furniture. Some of the other living chairs were partially broken. The natural light is not good if that's important to you... it is to me and some of the photos are deceiving if this is a priority. 2 of 3 bedrooms are well lit, but the beds are so uncomfortable. A few other minor issues that just made this place a bit too underwhelming.
It's difficult to throw shade on a place when the hosts were very lovely and incredibly responsive, but until the owner decides to update the furniture and kitchen, I would consider other listings in the area.
