Just what the family needed

This was one of the best locations we have stayed at. The house was a great place for the family to stay. The outdoors wih the pool and the lake were great!

Beautiful house and location

House was very nice and the views were beautiful. Well organized and put together enough towels and great bedding and comfy beds kitchen was well stocked and the snacks were great!!! Super Host

Lake getaway

The stay was nice location was perfect fishing was amazing just a few minor cosmetic issues and some repair work need overall I would definitely stay again

sofa chair had a lots of trash under the pillows but we clean it

but over all everything was great, we had a wonderful time ,oh we the parents we was celebrating our 26years anniversary with our children and grandchildren they all enjoyed the fishing we will like to come back next year

Summer Getaway

The house was large and slept 5 adults and 3 children very comfortably! Living room and kitchen area very spacious. The only downfall was the condition of the outdoor railings outside ( high staircase to get to pool ) and condition of dock - lots of very loose railings - could not let me kids hold on to stair railings outside because of exposed nails and not secure - would stay again if outdoor railings and dock were more safe

Lots of room but pretty tired home

We had lots of room for our big family and the place was surface clean. However it is pretty tired with stained walls, stained sheets and pillows, broken items and trash on the property. Pool was dirty. Not much in the way of kitchen utensils, pots/pans either. Lucky we were not cooking there.

Southern Hospitality / Home away from Home

The Holden’s are super attentive to any needs or requests and are lightening quick with correspondence. Check in was a breeze. We were greeted with a special welcome note and hospitality basket upon arrival. Quiet inlet just off the main lake. Pet friendly meant everything to us as our golden doodle is a member of our family :-) Mattress in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The kitchen sustained all our needs. We utilized all rooms and felt right at home. Plenty of hot water for a crowd and spacious common area. The home owners are really putting their heart into the place. You’ll enjoy the stay; book it!

Family vacation

Our families certainly enjoyed our stay. The home fit our needs with 11 people. We did make pallets on the floor for the 3 littles so they could sleep with their mom and dad. The pool was the highlight for everyone. The dock has 2 stationary chairs which is a good place for watching the wildlife with coffee in the mornings and wine in the evening. We also took our boat so some could fish. The veterans park is about a 10 minute car and boat ride which gave us a place to tube and others swim. A lot of shade and a small restaurant is there. Leon was easy to contact when we had questions.

Labor Day Reunion

This beautiful house was perfect for our annual Labor Day weekend reunion. Each year us 4 brothers get together with our wives and our mother over Labor Day. This year we chose Lake Blackshear and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The pool and outside deck were our hangout for the weekend as well as the dock. Leon was a wonderful host, replying quickly to any communication and even allowed us to check in early when we arrived much earlier than we thought we would. There are small issues with the property as has been stated but none that should affect your stay. We will consider this property again for next Labor Day.
