Blue Turtle Cottage is a romantic beach front cottage on the beautiful island of Eleuthera.
Situated on over a 9-mile-long beach in Double Bay, with views of the sapphire blue waters of the Atlantic and two small idyllic islands.
Private steps will lead you down to a beautiful, secluded beach. Blue Turtle Cottage offers stunning ocean views from both the living area and the bedroom. Fall asleep at night listening to the gentle waves roll in.
There is no better way to wake up in the morning than enjoying your morning coffee on the beach.
Blue Turtle Cottage was built in 2021. Everything is new and shiny. Enjoy preparing a evening meal in the fully equipped kitchen, which includes custom-made cabinetry, gorgeous ocean blue tile backsplash and top of the line fixtures and appliances. You may prefer to grill on the outdoor BBQ while enjoying your favorite cocktail in the beautiful evening sun.
However, you decide to spend your time, Blue Turtle Cottage is truly a dream come true.

Beautiful Blue

Ocean was amazing! Cottage as described, would be nice to have a dishwasher & few more casserole type or mixing bowls & something to clean grill with but other than that totally amazing, relaxing & much solitude on the beach. Would highly recommend, just loved it!

Bahamas Bliss

Quiet, secluded beach within minutes of three other spectacular beaches. The cottage has everything you need and nothing you don't. Host and caretakers were right there for us, but with everything so nicely set up there wasn't a thing missing. Laundry a big plus. Host's guide to the cottage and island was top-notch. Thanks Linda!

The perfect anniversary getaway!

Blue turtle cottage was the perfect cabin for our week on Eleuthera! It was the perfect size for us and the beach was unbelievable! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to enjoy our 20th anniversary and we will definitely be back! Thank you again for your hospitality! We love it!

Anniversary trip

We stayed for 10 days at this beautiful cottage. Location was perfect. We saw lots of sights and spent lots of time on several different beaches. Cooked at home and also ate out for dinner. Was nice to have a full stocked kitchen for breakfast and lunch. Relaxing and an absolutely perfect vacation in paradise!! Also owner Linda was quick to respond to our questions!!!

Beautiful Beach Getaway

The Blue Turtle Cottage is a lovely getaway for two. Cozy and clean, and convenient. The house is centrally located and a short drive to Governors Harbour, but still secluded enough. It’s perfectly laid out with everything you would need. Would love to return!

Perfection!

Everything was even better than we had hoped for. This place is heaven on earth. The property is immaculate and beautiful. The reef in front of the property was amazing and full of marine life. Turtles, dolphins and tons of fish. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you Blue Turtle Cottage!

Perfect anniversary getaway

What a cute little house! We loved this place. The views are fantastic, access to the beach couldn’t have been better. Owners were responsive. All the comforts of home. The extra things that made it over the top; the bed was so comfortable, the bedside fan I was so thankful they had, and the hammock out back. Pure perfection

Beautiful!

What a place! Private paradise. We slept with views and sounds of the ocean. We walked the long beaches. We snorkeled and saw the coral reefs teaming with life right along the coast. We saw amazing sunrises every morning. Can’t wait to go back

Gorgeous cottage on the beach

Blue Turtle Cottage was amazing. Great location in Central Eleuthera right by Double Bay Beach. Ten Bay Beach is just a short drive across the road. Not far from Governor's Harbour and Palmetto Point. So much to do or do nothing and just relax. It was perfect. And Linda was very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay so much.

Heaven on earth!!

Blue Turtle Cottage was wonderful!! It was super clean, very well stocked with anything you would need for a comfortable beach vacation including an abundance of beach towels and beach chairs & an umbrella. The house has a cistern and a generator which is like gold on the island. Our communication with Linda was always prompt and pleasant. And the property managers (David and Tatjana) were very accommodating. The house is in a great location and is centrally located, which makes it easy to access the northern or southern tip of the island. I would recommend this rental to anyone!!

Perfect Couples Getaway

Absolutely stunning, secluded spot. Very new, well built, solid cottage sized just right for a couple. Best of all, everything works as it should! From the fridge to the A/C (very important to a Southerner!), to the hot/cold water…even the TV! Not that you’ll be spending that much time in there; just a short walk to an essentially private beach. We may have seen a handful of people in a week…and even then we all have more than enough room to keep to ourselves. At night the blackout curtains and very comfortable bed, pillows, and linens provide for a great night’s sleep. Owners are very friendly and super responsive. And no weird checkout vibes, rituals, or warnings. Just simple and easy. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Blue Turtle is 300 yards from Double Bay beach, one of the absolute best in Eleuthera. The cottage is right above the shore, but there is no swimming there because of a ridge of rocks.The cottage is functional but has issues. No 1 was the cheap synthetic sheets which gave me an itchy rash--I kept wondering how I had so many bites with no insects around and see that synthetic sheets can cause this reaction.The lighting is poorly planned with no light over the dining table and I had to use a flashlight to read the microwave. Terrible toaster. The shower usually gave lukewarm water, never quite hot. The kitchen utensil draw needs organisers.We had a good time because we loved the beach. The property is aggressively priced.

Paradise found

We absolutely loved Blue Turtle cottage, it was so peaceful and the cottage was exactly as described. The beach was amazing, although it is rocky right out front, there are miles of beach to explore to the left and right. We swam using water shoes right out front and found a beautiful cove to the right about 3 minute walk with no rocks. We wanted peace and quiet and Blue Turtle Cottage provided that! Linda was so responsive and provided the most helpful guide, not only for the cottage, but for the Island as well. We should have taken her suggestion for a rental car company! The guide details the Eleuthera Island exactly as it is, in it’s perfectly natural, beautiful, unrefined state. We will definitely return and cannot wait to visit Blue Turtle cottage again. Beautiful Cottage

Blue Turtle Cottage was an amazing place to stay on Eleuthera! The cottage was a perfect size for the two of us and all the amenities were well thought out/placed. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom/shower was great, and we were very appreciative the property was on a back up generator. We got great use out of the Alexa, the kitchen, and the back deck. If there was anything negative to say it would be I wish I had researched the location more closely. It is a bit of a drive to get to the Queen’s Highway and the beach is more rocky than my personal preference however it is beautiful and there is much to be enjoyed. Like anywhere on the island, don’t be fooled by the idyllic back porch and hammock. The bugs will get you! Come prepared with bug spray and you will be set!

Just what we were looking for!

We were so lucky to find the Blue Turtle. We knew nothing of Eleuthera and just took a chance. This property is right on the Atlantic in beautiful Double Bay. I lovely winding driveway brings you to this cute beach front cottage that was big enough for the 2 of us. We wanted peace and quiet, with nothing but the sound of the waves and that's what we got. The cottage had everything we needed including a nice little kitchen and cookware, gas grill and a comfortable bed. We even got friendly with the island cats and that was a treat. Just up the road is Island Farm. A great place for quality meats, greens, coffee and booze. Get your dinners there. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Governors Harbour for your dinner at The Buccaneers Club. Just a great experience and the Blue Turtle was the perfect place to stay. We will be back!

Two Weeks at Blue Turtle Cottage

My wife and I stayed at Blue Turtle Cottage for two weeks as our honeymoon and we loved our time in Eleuthera. The beach in front of the house was absolutely beautiful with pink sand and crystal clear blue water. There are some rocks in front of the house that are partially submerged but we enjoyed them because they created a long tidepool that was perfect for swimming and using as a lazy river, and also broke any waves that were coming off the Atlantic. Make sure you follow Linda's instructions about taking the trash as much as you can and not leaving ANY food out to avoid attracting flies. The backup generator is a huge plus as well since there are frequent power outages on the Island. It came on automatically and we were never without power for more than a moment. We had an issue with the condensation drains on the air conditioners being clogged and leaking, but Linda and her property managers replied fast and had the issue fixed as soon as possible. Linda was great to work with and answered any questions we had about the island. We would absolutely recommend staying at the Blue Turtle Cottage, as it is perfect for two people and the beach is incredible.

Our names are Linda & Randall. We currently live in Florida.
My husband Randall is originally from Maryland, but since leaving there in 1990, he has lived in many places, including Europe and the Caribbean. I am originally from England, although I have lived in Florida for the past 20+ years now. We both enjoy everything the islands have to offer, Scuba diving, snorkeling, the picture perfect beaches, delicious restaurants, and the overall relaxed island lifestyle.
We hope you enjoy your stay at our home. We take the time to add small details in hope that when you stay you truly feel like it's your own home.
