Enjoy a relaxing peaceful stay in the fishing village of Wanchese. The Saltbox overlooks a horse pasture in the back and another horse pasture in the front. Located on a private drive the Saltbox is a perfect spot to put your feet up after a long day at the beach. The house offers an outdoor shower and a cleaning station for your fresh catch. Minutes from everywhere you want to be and yet miles away from the hustle and bustle.

Great outer banks stay

Nice, comfortable home, very clean. Property manager and owner were quick to respond to anything. Only 15 minutes to Nags head beach and without 20 minutes of multiple other beaches. Would stay here again. Safe neighborhood. Corn hole set was available and our kids really enjoyed that. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Cute Country Cottage

We loved the rural location, away from all the tourist traffic ,yet still close to everything. We especially loved the views of the surrounding farms and all the horses. The cottage has everything you need and was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

The best stay!

We absolutely LOVED this place. Neighbors were so friendly and welcoming. The place is adorable & clean with everything you need and then some. We had the best time petting all the horses that surround the property. Definitely would stay here again!

Air conditioning quit after one day

The air conditioning broke after the first day and no availability to repair or offer window units or fans. Very unpleasant in 90 degree weather. The temperature inside the house rose to 84 degrees.

A home away from home

It was so amazing in every way. The home was so cute. Very quite and relazing. The neighbors were so nice and welcoming It was also close to everything it has all the luxuries of being in the big city but the cozy country setting

Quiet next to the busy!

This rental in Wanchese was perfect for us! We came down for vacation from Michigan and wanted a quiet place somewhat close to the nags head area. This house was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. It was great waking up and seeing horses around. The house was easy to get to and the host was very nice! Would stay here again!

Great Little Place

Being that my daughters are horse lovers, this property was perfect for us. It’s in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by horses and dogs to pet. The house had everything we needed. We went to Nags Head beach which wasn’t too far at all and it was amazing. The outside shower was perfect for rinsing our sandy feet. We also went to Hatteras so my daughters could ride horses on the beach. That was a little over an hours drive but it was a gorgeous scenic drive. Totally worth it. The house is located far enough away from the busy areas but close enough to find things to do and restaurants to eat at.

Wondrful

We have stayed here before and just love the cottage, the neighborhood, and the surrounding horses and the canine welcoming committee. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay, close to everything but when you come home it feels miles away from the hustle and bustle. The owner is fantastic as well.

Good stay away from busy areas

Beautiful home away from all the hustle and bustle! The house is very clean. Has about everything you could need in the kitchen. The first night we stayed we had issues with the air conditioner but the property owner was quick to get the issue resolved. We stayed for my son’s first birthday and had a great time at the beaches,shopping and sight seeing. Would definitely stay here again!

A little piece of heaven

The property is clean, well stocked and just delightful. The neighborhood so peaceful and friendly and we loved the horses, and dogs that showed up. Audra is the perfect host.

Very nice!!

We loved the house. Perfect location! Host was awesome with advice and communication. Would love to have a toaster in the house though. Highly recommend staying here! Nice having an outside shower as well.

Awesome Cottage in Wanchese!

Super nice place to stay for your vacation to the Outer Banks. I would highly recommend this cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were awesome. 5 ⭐️

Nice relaxing location also centrally located

Property was in the perfect location to get to OBX adventures but also we were able to wind down at the end of the day without the noise of the busy main roads. The horses and neighbors were very friendly. If we ever go back we will definitely stay here again!
