Condo that needs some work, in a pretty nice spot, great amenities.
I love the facility. The Summit is a great place to stay with family. 2 pools, beach access, and a few hot tubs kept the kids entertained. They had events at the pool each night (live music, a DJ, a movie for the kids, etc). There is a pretty pricey Tiki bar on the pool deck, but there's also a very reasonable (and tasty!) bar and grill on property. Our only complaint was the elevators kept going out.As for the room, there were some issues. The big inconveniences were the lack of a functioning fridge for the first day (after we had already purchased groceries, many of which went bad) and a dishwasher with issues (not attached, tipped forward onto my foot every time I tried to fill it, threw foam all over the kitchen on our second day). They told us that they had a loaner fridge, but it didn't work either. After speaking to the maintenance guy, this was the 4th loaner fridge they'd gone through in this unit, and the same thing kept happening....making it clear to my husband that it was an electrical issue that should have been fixed 3 fridges ago. They did fix the issues on our 2nd day, but the cost of groceries going bad was upsetting. The shower rod was also broken, so it was impossible to get a shower without water getting EVERYWHERE. The unit also needs some spackle and paint, but that's minor. The functionality issues were what got us.I would happily stay at this resort again, but not this unit.
