This cottage is centrally located and within walking distance to experience all the amenities that OIB has to offer! MAIN LIVING SPACE: This beach home is a beautifully updated waterfront home on a natural deep water canal (yes, bring your boat!). Open concept dining and living room creates a space that guests can be together. The main room was specifically designed to provide opportunities for conversation around the large dining table, play games or work puzzles around a game table, and adjacent is a perfect area to read a good book. The living room has beautiful, high-end furnishings with ample seating and a 65” Smart TV with cable! The kitchen is it’s own separate space and has a quaint coastal feel. It is fully stocked, has new stainless steel appliances, and has ample counter space. The home has 4 comfortable bedrooms– 1 bedroom has a KING and two bedrooms have QUEEN beds. The fourth bedroom is great for kids or adults with one double bed, bunked with a twin on top plus a 32" Smart TV for gaming! Get a great night’s rest as all beds are outfitted with new luxury mattresses. Two bedrooms have waterfront views and private doors onto the large canal-side deck. There are two bathrooms– one on each side of the cottage adjoining two bedrooms. One bathroom has a bathtub/shower and lovely single vanity with ample counter space, and the second recently updated bathroom has a stand up shower and double vanity. OUTDOOR LIVING: The Jean Jean has a large deck on the canal side with rocking chairs, lounge chairs and dining table that is the perfect setting for enjoying your morning coffee, large enough for entertaining, ideal for sunbathing in the afternoon sun, and relaxing watching the night sky. After a day of fun in the sun, unwind under the house enjoying a great breeze while lounging in the hammock or swing, grilling out on the gas grill and/or playing cornhole. This cottage is great for fishermen, boaters or those who love water sports. Bring your boat or rent a jet ski and dock it at The Jean Jean’s floating dock or use the kayak included in your rental. Swim or float in the canal during high tide, or fish off the dock. A crab pot is provided. Guests have access to new washer and dryer in the utility room on the ground level. There is an outdoor enclosed shower to rinse sand and saltwater off at the end of a fun day at the beach. Beach chairs, Beach wagon and sand toys are available for use. OTHER FUN AT OCEAN ISLE BEACH : Ocean Isle Beach is the best beach in North Carolina! A quaint family-oriented beach with plenty of activities for a week of fun for all. The Jean Jean is a short 8 minute walk to the beach access at the Ocean Isle Community Center. Walk 3 blocks to the town center to enjoy local restaurants, Coastal Carolina Museum, splash pad, coffee shop, ice cream, OIB park, catch some live music or play mini golf. Ocean Isle Beach hosts weekly free community events for visitors including, but not limited to, a weekly artisan market, community scavenger hunt for kids, family movie night, Turtle Talks, and a very popular Friday Night Concert. Want an excursion to explore beyond Ocean Isle Beach? We suggest taking a short drive to check out Calabash for seafood, Myrtle Beach for amusements and shopping, and Wilmington for unique experiences (explore a battleship, movie tours, Wrightsville Beach), and shopping!
