Welcome to Big Bear Chalet Poconos! Relax and enjoy all the Poconos has to offer at this modern and spacious 4-season chalet in Masthope Mountain Community. Situated in the northern most tier of the Pocono Mountains Lake Region this home offers all the amenities you could wish for while allowing you to get away from it all and enjoy the wonders of the outdoors no matter the time of year.

Big Bear Chalet is located just a short 5-minute walk to Masthope Beach at Westcolang Lake where you can enjoy activities for the whole family including a playground, picnic area, concession stand with ice cream, sand volleyball and bocce courts. The community also offers a swimming pool with tiki bar to help you stay cool on a hot day. In the winter the slopes of Ski Big Bear at Masthope are a short drive away ready to challenge those who enjoy skiing, snowboarding or tubing. The lodge includes an arcade room for the kids and the Summit restaurant with fabulous food and drinks for the entire family. Cross country ski trails and a multitude of hiking and ATV trails are also available within the community. For the animal lovers, the Stables at Masthope offer pony rides and a petting zoo or guide led trail rides for your entire group.

Big Bear Chalet is a spacious and comfortable retreat which comes stocked with all the comforts of home. The open floor plan includes four large bedrooms and multiple entertainment areas where families can spend time together but also spread out to relax. Each bedroom is complete with comfortable linens, plenty of storage, and a Roku enabled TV. The walkout basement entices competition with a video arcade plus plenty of family games, puzzles and foosball. Let the winners pick the movie in the media room with special lighting effects. Grill your favorites out on the deck or have s'mores and drinks around the fire pit as you take in nature and get visits from all the wildlife in the area.

IMPORTANT Information on Community Amenity Passes:
During the summer months between Memorial Day and Labor Day, community amenity passes are required to access the pool and beach. You will purchase these at the office upon registration. The pool and beach are open 11am thru 7pm. The updated 2024 cost is $10 per person\per day.

During Ski Season (mid-December thru begin-March), renters can receive a discount of up to 25% when purchasing your lift passes at Ski Big Bear with a valid RFID renters pass. This discount is offered directly through Ski Big Bear, so visit their website for specifics on lift passes and this discount.

Please Note: This home is located in a private community. You will need to fill out a rental contract and agree to the community and house rules. This will need to be completed and signed, (to include your names, ages, addresses and relationships to you for all of the guests) for entrance into the community. This will need to be completed within 5 days of your arrival or the community will assess a $100 late fee that you will be responsible for. Any violations will be subject to citation from the community and possible eviction from the property. The rental contract will be sent to you by the property manager upon booking. You many not exceed the max amount of 12 people and there are not more than 4 cars allowed in the driveway. No other guests can visit the lot during your stay. Items provided in the home to include games, appliances, etc. are subject to change without notice.
