Sweet House is a private, beautifully landscaped tropical villa located just outside the gates of Jolly Harbour, offering a peaceful and secure setting with convenient access to beaches, dining, shopping, and the marina. The property combines privacy, comfort, and outdoor living, making it ideal for families, couples, or small groups seeking a relaxed Caribbean getaway.

An international grocery store, restaurants, spas, car and golf cart rentals, and general shopping are all within easy walking distance. Jolly Beach — one of Antigua’s most popular west-facing beaches, known for calm waters and beautiful sunsets — is just a short walk away. Several of Antigua’s top beaches are also only a short drive from the house, and the central location makes exploring the island easy. The villa is approximately 25 minutes from the airport.

The Villa

Sweet House has been recently renovated and thoughtfully upgraded throughout, with a focus on comfort, quality, and ease of living. Upgrades include:

The house accommodates up to 8 guests, with a maximum of 6 adults.

Outdoor Living

Outdoor space is a highlight of Sweet House. The private terrace features a plunge pool surrounded by lush palms and tropical gardens, as well as a high-quality gas barbecue. A large covered patio with ceiling fans provides shaded seating for relaxing, gathering, and outdoor dining. An outdoor shower nestled among the palms is perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. From morning coffee to evenings under the stars, this is where most guests spend their time.

Interior Spaces

The interior of the villa is clean, uncluttered, and thoughtfully designed, with beautiful tiling, teak, mahogany, and leather furnishings, and high Caribbean-style ceilings. The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining areas create a bright, airy atmosphere that is comfortable and welcoming.

Kitchen

The kitchen is very well equipped for preparing meals at home and includes a Miele dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, All-Clad pots and pans, and ample dishes and glassware.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The master bedroom features an ensuite bathroom, while the two additional bedrooms share a second bathroom. The villa is family-friendly, with a children’s bedroom that includes a desk and a small selection of toys and books. This room is equipped with a twin-over-full bunk bed as well as an additional twin bed.

All beds are furnished with high-thread-count linens, pillows, and lightweight duvets. High-quality bath towels and beach towels are provided, along with sand toys for children. An iron, ironing board, and hair dryer are also available.

Eco-Friendly Features

Sweet House incorporates several eco-friendly features, including solar power generation and solar hot water, energy-efficient appliances and lighting, a rain-water recovery system, and a filtered drinking water & ice system with UV and reverse osmosis.

Privacy & Security

The property is very private and secure, with a lockable gate at the street and a lockable garden gate at the house entrance. The outdoor spaces are quiet and secluded, offering a peaceful neighborhood setting with minimal visibility from neighboring villas.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the house, gardens, and laundry room, which includes a Miele washing machine.

Important Notes

To ensure comfort and safety for all guests and to comply with local regulations, the villa allows a maximum of 6 adults and 8 total occupants. If there are 7 guests, at least 1 guest must be 8 years old or younger. If there are 8 guests, at least 2 guests must be 8 years old or younger.

Sweet House is a registered and certified rental accommodation in Antigua and is listed with the ABTA under the name “Sweet House.”

A government-mandated tourist tax of $5 USD per night applies to each guest over the age of 6 and is required for all paid accommodations in Antigua & Barbuda. This tax will be collected separately after arrival, as VRBO does not support age-based per-guest charges at the time of booking.
